I totally agree with the name thing for the mikaelsons! Like it feels so effortless and like. Not true to what it would actually be like lmao so jc accepted that they changed their names. The effort u went to is really cool to see! If i gave credit would u mind if i used those names for them in my fic? Its totally cool if not tho. Hope u have a good day!

first off PLEASE go ahead and use the names I came up with that's actually SUPER exciting and so so kind! Honestly I like putting that kind of thing out there for people to use I'm not super possessive over things like names and canon tweaks for stuff like historical or timeline accuracy or retcon smoothing.

I agree that the names feel extremely effortless, they truly gave us gave us nothing. I think the idea that they changed their names later on in history is an increasingly common headcanon. Basically if you've ever done a bit of research for a fic or something and sussed out how things were in Scandinavia at around the 10th century you're like "Huh okay. Yeah this is nonsense." Though I know I've also seen the name shit logic'd out by having Esther be a christian (@matt-murdick this is you right?). That's like, really the only time I've looked at the canon names and been like "aite I'll allow this, this works" lol.

I have to AGGRESSIVELY forget anything to do with those caves bc if I think about those names written up there in fucking runes I'm gonna scream. (Runes, runic writing, rune stones, literacy, etc is just it's own whole beast I wouldn't anticipate a YA paranormal romance show to tackle but seeing ReBeKaH in rUnEs makes me LOSE IT)
