i don't know if I can articulate this thought right but like: not every book needs to be ""literature"" and I realize this is largely up to personal taste but I think there's this thing with lot of fiction being posted on here (both published and WIPS) where it's a bunch of stories about the writer's OCs who they've had since high school and are obsessed with in the kind of way that makes books unreadable to me? Like writers who like their own characters so much they've started taking it for granted that these characters are so fun, quirky, and interesting that it'll be so much fun for anyone to read about them interacting, no matter how little substance there is otherwise.

Supposed to be asleep, already fell asleep but I hadn't written today so I wrote one 37-word sentence on my phone which apparently was exactly enough words to get me to 5,000 which is such a precise coincidence I don't even feel bad about hitting the Day 3 goal (10%) on Day 14 (46.6667%).

what is up with drama cds seriously. i do not listen to them but are they just meant to be treated as bonus content crack? because whenever one crops up for any anime i'm familiar with it's always mystifying to consider this to expand official canon. from the video description this is meant to be happening while midoriya has his shigaraki confrontation in the mall????? THIS was happening during that????

this whole segment plays out like someone's fanfic, beat for beat. start off with todoroki introspection thinking about his mom... randomly run into bakugou... a villain is obsessed with gluing them together and taking pictures ???? who OKed 11 minutes of this

early canon bakugou is so aggressive for what. ur scaring the hoes. todoroki literally decides to give up on his plans and go home just because his vibes were too exhausting. and then bakugou tells him he hopes he trips and dies on the way back??? calm down have a cereal bar like...

the villain was randomly watching their sports fest performance... hes kind of real. but i think we all know the more accurate villain in this scenario would be a 12 year old who doesn't play about her otp.

bakugou never getting over the indignity of sports fest is such a funny bit. i always write it into everything but i see this is a shared opinion.

love how todoroki is supremely unflappable and chill but even he can only take so much nonsense before he's audibly fraying at the seams a little. meanwhile bakugou takes a break from yelling to condescendingly tell the villain his quirk is lame. king of bullying dangerous criminal adults as they're actively threatening him.

the villain says he's doing this to humiliate them but he keeps fujo-ing out and/or getting really into his directorial mood. man you could have put this energy elsewhere you didn't need to entrap two teenagers on the street.... you could have gone into amateur theatre... you didn't have to develop this kink....

oh hes literally trying to make them faux kiss. BACK OFF FREAK ??? also the audacity to then be like 'haha that's right i will blackmail you with public gay scandal'. the concept of shigaraki recruiting this guy is truly something else. 'hey man i'm going to go intimidate that midoriya kid you go keep the other two relevant ones at bay. oh how? umm idk knock yourself out.'

todoroki being like bakugou stop don't kill him with your quirk. bare hands come on be civilized.

i like the implication bakugou can toss someone into the sun barehanded.

the supposed canonical timeline of this is killing me. right on the heels of the sports fest shitshow and before bakugou's kidnapping, todobaku had this moment, never spoke of it again, and the next time they were alone together was in the forest during training camp. they literally cannot escape being paired for hijinks big and small.

curious what you think about that drama cd where tdbk are glued together by a villain who then takes pics of them...
