About this Rick...

This RP blog was primarily inspired by stick figure series such as Henry Stickmin, Animator vs Animation, and raxdflipnote. Concept is mostly similar to Lego Spider-Man from Spider-Verse in a way.

Rick is 1 foot tall. You can figure the size of everything else out from there.

People outside of the 1st dimension wouldn't be able to survive from the compression (à la the 2D Planet from A Wrinkle in Time). Due to this compression, most Ricks' technology deconstructs and becomes ineffective. Think Abstract Thought from Inside Out.

With many Ricks trying to explore Stickman Rick's dimension unprepared, Stickman Rick spends a lot of his time trying to help see Ricks out of his dimension whenever he finds one.

When outside of his dimension, Stickman Rick is flat from the side like Teri from Gumball. Although, he's more solid and doesn't have the properties of paper. His texture is more like a whiteboard.

When most stick people are exposed to anything outside the 1st dimension, their heads will explode due to the inability to process the complexities of it. Rick is able to survive due to constantly being on Kalaxian Crystals and a force field he has designed for himself to survive the pressures of other dimensions.

Due to this, Morty and the rest of the family is banned from viewing Rick's social media to avoid seeing anything above the 1st dimension. That doesn't stop them from trying though.

Reactions to Miracle Creator's Chapter 150

TL;DR - Jang Hyung vs CH. Jang Hyung's purification. Competition between Namgung Clan, Demon Cult, and Kunlun School. Cale heads to the Evil Alliance.

Jang Hyung versus Choi Han To be honest, I did not expect to see a fight scene in this chapter. Nor the poetic lines to describe the fight, courtesy of Jegal Mi Ryeo and Heavenly Demon. CJS got a mention here because CH was being compared to him.

There was also the fight between two dragons: CH's black yong (dragon) versus Jang Hyung's Eight Great Styles of the Cloud Dragon (signature technique of the Kunlun School).

I was excited about the fight scene because this was rare! Of course, CH won in the end.

Jang Hyung's Purification This was probably the longest purification so far - more than two hours. It was because the Black Death Energy had already reached the upper dantian (the brain part).

There was some hostile tension between Jang Hyung and HD, but after the purification ended, Jang Hyung's hostility towards HD lessened.

The Competition This part was quite funny:

Namgung Tae Wi gets purified -> I, the Sword Saint, and the Namgung Clan will take the lead in the battle against the Blood Cult!

Heavenly Demon gets purified -> The Demon Cult will take the lead in the battle against the Blood Cult!

Jang Hyung gets purified -> The Kunlun School will take the lead in the battle against the Blood Cult!

I guess Cale will not have to worry in his fight against the Blood Cult.

Cale and the Evil Alliance Cale's interaction with the Sima Clan was also funny. 🤣🤣🤣

Mun Commentary Interlude: One of the things I see as core to Legault's character is his deep regret from killing Aesha (the woman mentioned in his Matthew support quote) transforming into this inner drive that I can best label as "whatever I do, I've learned that I have to live with myself afterward." This is why he admires Heath for sticking to his principles from the get-go instead of needing the guilt of going through with heinous orders to recognize how impossible it is to keep living the same way afterward. It's why he has to try to reach out to the Reeds, even knowing that he won't sway them. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he didn't try. The Jaffar and Nino supports are there because I think it's interesting how he asserts to love is to be human, but to be human is a deadly weakness to an assassin—and how he so clearly has loved and continued to love [he loves the Reeds, he loves Nino, he loves what the Black Fang used to be, he loves Heath (a flirtatious exaggeration, but one grounded in genuine admiration whether romantic or not)], and so clearly considers himself weak. And because of that weakness, he doesn't see himself as fit to care for Nino, even if he cares about her.

Okay so I'm trying to decide how much to factor in enjoyment vs quality here because I have a few shows I really enjoyed but are, um, well, you have to let some stuff pass.

I will mention that my tastes in terms of romancey stuff tends to lean towards non-existent or subtle and so that's largely reflected in my recs. The only exception to this on the list is Flower of Evil. (I didn't intend it but this list doesn't actually have any main BLs/GLs either. A lot of people ship various combos of the main three in MLC and WCL though.)

Shows below cut in no particular order:

Flower of Evil

(modern kdrama)

I wasn't sure how to start with this one so I'll just nab the description from Wikipedia as it's actually fairly accurate here:

Baek Hee-sung is a man who hides his identity and past from his wife Cha Ji-won, a detective. On the surface, they appear to be the perfect family: A loving couple with a beautiful six-year-old daughter who adores her parents. Cha Ji-won and her colleagues begin investigating a series of unexplained murders and she is confronted with the reality that her seemingly perfect husband may be hiding something from her.

I don't want to spoil much about this, but it's very cat-and-mousey. It's evil with the cliffhangers. At one point, it briefly becomes a buddy comedy between a guy and another guy he kept in his basement. And there is one scene where people just sit in a car crying for two minutes. So, like, it has the range? I think of it as a guilty pleasure kinda show personally, but it's probably the closest to Beyond Evil of the shows on this list.

Mysterious Lotus Casebook

(historical cdrama)

Full disclosure: I have only recently finished this and it has somewhat taken over my brain so I can't claim to be in any way unbiased here. Li Lianhua is a lying liar who lies who may or may not be the fallen hero Li Xiangyi (he is). He wants to get by pretending to be a doctor and minding his own business, but unfortunately, the plot is out to get him. And so he, along with Fang Duobing, end up investigating various crimes as Li Lianhua tries to find the body of his former senior to lay him to rest before his own body gives out on him.

My favourite thing about this show is a) Li Lianhua, and b) the dynamic between the main trio. The levels of trolling and identity porn at any one time are through the roof. It's a comedy until it isn't.

Reset

(modern cdrama)

This is the incredibly rare type of show known as a decent *modern* cdrama. It's a timeloop show and is fairly short at 15 episodes. It's about two strangers who are trapped on a bus that keeps exploding and their attempts to uncover why and how it keeps happening. Being a modern cdrama, some of the police stuff can be fairly... heavy-handed, but I think the writers do what they can despite that, and it does use the different bus passengers to explore different societal issues, which is neat.

Overall, it's a bit of a mystery show, a bit of a character drama, and a teensy bit of romance which is for the most part nicely underplayed.

White Cat Legend

(historical cdrama)

This is waaaaaay more down the enjoyment end than quality but I'm having such a good time here. This is originally based off a manhua (I've only read pieces of it myself) but mainly just takes the characters and some story beats and does its own thing. I watched the donghua first and tonally that was an interesting experience in how it raced between funny cat shenanigans and reckoning with the nature of war crimes (though the donghua stuck much closer to the og source overall). But the live action so far is staying firmly silly (I'm midway through so it will shift at some point, I'm sure, just can't see the tonal whiplash being as bad as in the donghua).

Anyway! To explain what the show actually *is*, it follows a guy who has been cursed to become a cat (in the manhua/donghua this means he's like a walking furry but the live action has it more of a werecat/shapeshifter deal which is good because I could not handle that cg 24/7) and his attempts at running investigations as part of the local court. This is not helped by being the only competent guy in the entire place. Still, at least his underlings are *incredibly* entertaining in their failures. So, most of the show is investigating crimes against a backdrop of Li Bing (catto dude) trying to uncover the origins of the curse and why the old court and his father died. There's also a purple dude with whom he has History and an italian vampire. And vice president shangguan, who is one of those rare female characters you get in historical cdramas where the show is actually normal about her existence *without* just entirely brushing over the implications of her being in her position as a woman.

Move to Heaven

(modern kdrama)

This is a genuine rec where I'm not going to say you have to let quality pass or whatever because it's objectively good and doesn't have a high entry barrier. It may be good to watch an episode at a time depending on your mood though rather than trying to marathon it or anything.

This show basically follows the 'move to heaven' team, who are summoned to clear out the belongings of the deceased. Each deceased person has a story associated with them and as part of tidying the belongings away, there's an element of investigating to find out what their story was. It can be a tearjerker at times, but it can also be incredibly sweet. Also, it has a canon autistic character where it actually strikes a really good balance in terms of not infantilising him whilst still having it make sense why he wants help with certain things.

Nirvana in Fire

(historical cdrama)

This is my beloved. My favourite cdrama of all time. But I suspect it may not fit for you if Secret Forest doesn't. Still, I'll mention it and say to look up the diagrams to keep track of all the characters in the early episodes (...yeah, it's that type of show).

Anyway, this show is about a terminally ill man who takes on a secret identity or two as he plots to take revenge/bring justice (depending on who you ask) for the crimes of the past. This is part of the 'lying liar who lies' subgenre. It's much more serious and complicated overall than Mysterious Lotus Casebook despite the superficial similarities, but it does have its lighthearted moments.

Misc. shows that didn't make the list

I'll mention Signal (kdrama) and Kairos (kdrama) because they both have neat time travel mechanics, but with huge stipulations here. Signal is the objectively better one of these two and the male mc in Kairos is unbearable at times but at the same time Kairos has enough good points to keep me watching. The friend trio of female mc (they're just besties frfr) and the villain romance subplot especially. Signal had potential to be amazing, but for me, some of the time travel mechanics fell through and it was almost BBC Sherlockian at times with some of the 'profiling' deductions.

Signal's premise is that there's a walkie talkie that links the past and the present between a current day consultant profiler (with a distrust of the police despite now working for them) and a past police officer who is dead in the present day. It follows various cases between the past and the present that are interlocking with each other, with the overarching mysteries being present day profiler's backstory and past cop's death. I feel like this started out decently, went hit-and-miss, had a few episodes where it was absolutely amazing, and then lost steam somewhat, though the ending hit the main points.

Kairos' premise centres around a mobile phone. When a phone is disconnected, the number ends up being assigned to someone else. So, the two main characters, living a month apart in time, have the same number and thus can communicate with each other. The male mc in the future has recently found out that his wife and daughter have both died and the female mc's mother has gone missing. So they've both got a scenario they need the other person to help them with and as they change things, more new problems keep cropping up. It's a show where the premise is super interesting, but I personally found it a very frustrating watch, not least because of characters making decisions that were in-character, but incredibly stupid and *not* in the entertaining way.

Also, as I didn't include any BLs/GLs, I'll mention that I cannot in good conscience recommend Guardian (cdrama), but it's such fun trash and it has Shen Wei. It's a bit like shows like Torchwood and Buffy in that it's ostensibly modern era but there's magic (sorry, 'aliens') and a team that's meant to be keeping on top of it all led by Zhao Yunlan. He meets Shen Wei and then proceeds to *keep meeting him* at various crime scenes because Shen Wei sucks at this whole low-key deal.

On a similar note, Couple of Mirrors (cdrama) is a republican era GL. The two leads are well-written, but it's basically like two different shows mushed together (a soap and an assassin/cat-and-mouse chase). It has Yan Wei though! It's about a popular writer meeting a photographer (who is also an assassin) and them both discovering that the writer's husband really and truly sucks.

50. What belief / moral / personality trait do they stand by that you (mun) personally don’t agree with?

A big theme of Chiaroscuro is essentially that there's no such thing as "good" and "bad" traits- in that virtues can be maladaptive and vices can be beneficial, and it's a lot about how you observe and think about them. Part of that is that all the heroic characters have stereotypically Villainous Traits- and since Taylor's playing on the dark tyrant / rpg final boss Lord of Demons kind of archetype, their personal trait is tyranny.

They are a very controlling, pushy person, who's got a natural impulse to kind of weave themselves into other people's lives and try to help fix them. This creates a lot of problems and tends to tick people off, but at the end of the day, it's because Taylor genuinely deeply cares about people. If you earn their sincere trust, they will be one of your staunchest defenders.

The actual trait that's quieter and sneakier- and that makes this more maladaptive than not- is that Taylor tends to assume they know better than other people. This is a very fifteen-year-old vice; Taylor's smart and astute and thinks they have a real shot at changing up the world, which is very comprehensible, but they're weakening their genuine love and fascination for other people by propping up their ego about it. They're also dishonest with themselves about it- if pressed or asked, they don't see themselves as in charge, it's just that Good Ideas (their ideas) can occur to anyone and really anybody who should be in charge should agree with them, right?

(They will grow out of this a bit, but in other regards, well, a leopard doesn't change his spots)

55. What’s something they’re expected to enjoy based on their hobbies / profession that they actually dislike / hate?

The easy thing to go with would be their magic aptitude vs. their witch training, but Taylor doesn't precisely understand why their mentor is so pushy about it. It's not actually that Aunak thinks the only possible thing for Taylor to do is follow in her footsteps (though she does lean towards the idea it'd be good for Us All, a 'needs of the community' mindset looking at their immense natural talent), as much as Aunak is trying really, really hard to force the fifteen year old fleshsculptor mage to sign some equivalent of the hippocratic oath before they piss off to go Find Themselves in the big world out there, because she's perfectly aware of how stubborn and pushy they are, and if they have no reason to hesitate they could easily start doing things like "you were mean to me so I grabbed you by the heart until you behaved"

Perhaps a bit closer to the question- they come from a culture of elder worship (vulnerable members of the society get a bit more credence because survival's difficult!) but Taylor's general argumentative nature and [gestures above at their inclination to see themselves as The Smartest Person In The Room] means they have a tendency to bicker with prospective authority figures unless said authority seems to listen to them most of the time.

hey ho! Welcome to the first of probably a series of these dynamics posts. As it says in the title, I'm gonna be going over some dynamics I like and briefly touch on why I like them. I do plan on writing at least one for each of my main muses, and I hope that this can help make it easier to reach out to establish dynamics, or to generate ideas for muses I haven't listed here or different perspectives on the ones I've shared.

I adore all flavors of jingren/jingxing (or however you wanna call it). In the HCQ era, requited. Unrequited. Mutual pining. Madly in love. A platonic rivalry, brothers in arms. I want Jing Yuan still loving Blade, I want Jing Yuan absolutely furious with Blade, I love the awkward mournful tender angle as well as the embittered enemies one. Though I am partial to a romantic angle, I absolutely THRIVE with that love being lost on one or both sides, or with a purely platonic angle, too! No matter what, it's complicated. The messier the better. Between Blade and Jing Yuan, any genuine and mutual romance between them will be difficult for me to write without extensive development in character, because as it stands in canon Blade just wants to cease to exist, and my Jing Yuan just wants nothing more than to put Yingxing's memory to rest for good. They are a tragedy to me of the HIGHEST caliber (not that fluffier dynamics can't happen! They'll just need a LOT of development esp because I struggle with the idea of Blade finding a reason to "live" again).

Dan Feng/Dan Heng:

I adore all flavors of jingfeng/jingheng too, just like with jingren/jingxing! Requited, unrequited, platonic, etc etc. All flavors are good. When it comes to Dan Heng specifically, I especially love that delicate time after their reunion in which they learn to navigate their relationship and what they mean to one another. Whether this is platonic, familial ( @etherealguard <3) , or romantic, I enjoy it a lot. I do think Jing Yuan is more resistant to romantic feelings towards Dan Heng in this time period, as he doesn't want to conflate any residual love he has for Dan Feng with his desire to reconnect with Dan Heng and reassure Dan Heng of his good will. Regardless, it's a messy and complicated relationship at first for sure.

Luocha:

The messier the be-- Can you tell I like complicated relationships ALFDSGHKJ. When it comes to Jing Yuan's dynamic with Luocha, I find their game of chess to be the most fascinating thing. Enemies to lovers is PEAK I've talked and written about them enough ALFSJH YALL HAVE SEEN WHAT I'VE WRITTEN WITH STARRY!!! I will never get tired of jingluo but I like it the most when it is full of trials and tribulations for poor Jing Yuan. A game of cat and mouse. Barely veiled threats while waltzing. Do you get the vibe they are DANGEROUS

Caelus/Stelle:

When it comes to the Trailblazer, what I find the most fascinating to explore is the comparison of power between them and Jing Yuan. I think there's a lot of potential to be had with respect to that, with Stellaron (or Aeon reincarnation in some interps 👀) vs Emanator, whether the Trailblazer can sense that Jing Yuan is far, far more than he makes himself out to be and vice versa! That sense of there being something more under the surface and knowing it is so fun to me. I do prefer a more platonic dynamic for them just due to Jing Yuan being so dad-coded, but nothing is off the table with sufficient development!

Welt:

Two old men! Similarly to the Trailblazer, I love the idea of a dance of knowing that each is far more powerful than they're letting on. Though I imagine that Welt is polite enough to not try to pry, to me his power is nothing short of intriguing to Jing Yuan, who would absolutely try to find out more about him. Platonic or romantic, I think there's a lot of good potential between them.

Himeko:

I blame Koi. Himeko and Jing Yuan are far more similar than I initially thought, they're two sides of the same coin, and I think there's a wonderful amount of potential here between the two of them as beings far more powerful than they are willing to let on, and as two people of genius intellect. To me, they have the potential for a very strong platonic bond, or potentially even a romantic one (it says a lot to me that the first woman that my Jing Yuan has ever had the potential to have romantic feelings for is Himeko ADLKSFHJ) depending on how things develop. Overall, I would LOVE to explore the Jing Yuan and Himeko dynamic more (winks at Koi)

Yukong:

Yukong and Jing Yuan have a lot of similarities to me! A lot of shared, very deep grief that has irrevocably changed the both of them. Even if they don't talk about it, I think this is something that they can mutually acknowledge, and that acknowledgement is something they can find solace in with each other. I've mentioned it in a prior wishlist post but I crave a profound, platonic intimacy between Yukong and Jing Yuan. He loves her, truly and deeply, and he knows her life is coming to an end soon.

Fu Xuan:

I don't have a Fu Xuan to develop with! That needs to change!!! Fu Xuan havers pspspspspss???? The dynamic between Fu Xuan and Jing Yuan is crucial and holds so much potential. While I do prefer them as platonic, jingfu fans I get it I really do the flavor is so good. Regardless of the nature of the relationship, though, there's no doubt that it is fundamentally based on a very deep sense of trust, even with the banter and bickering. It's clear that they very much care about each other regardless of everything.

Yanqing:

Give me all the Yanqings I don't even need to say anything here. Sweet Yanqings, spicy kitten Yanqings, doesn't matter, that is his SON and I will always love writing a dynamic with any son boi. Aside from Mimi, taking in Yanqing and raising him was one of the like. only things Jing Yuan actually did for himself? My Jing Yuan always,, wanted a family. And he never got that chance, not until he found Yanqing. He loves Yanqing with everything he has to offer.

Kafka:

I blame A. The tension, the danger, the wariness yet willingness to collaborate all the same!! Ough. Ough. They're just such a fascinating dynamic, especially in a mara-struck!Jing Yuan context. I'd love to do things outside of that AU as well, though!!

Lan:

I've talked extensively about Jing Yuan's fealty towards Lan and his complicated feelings on the Hunt before. It's something I'd love to develop more. The relationship between an Aeon and their Emanator has a lot of potential for very deep complexity and it's with no uncertainty that I say that Jing Yuan is intrinsically tied to the Hunt for a plethora of reasons. Navigating that power dynamic, the relationship between god and vessel, all of that is very very spicy to me.

Yaoshi:

Talked a lot about this too! I want to write Jing Yuan's acknowledgement of his intrinsic ties to Yaoshi, I want to write his defiance of Yaoshi all the same, I want the tension and the hostility I WANT IT ALL!!!! I originally made him to be a side character but now he occupies all of my thoughts.

The main premise of his character is that he’s incredibly self sacrificing and just doesn’t really care about himself. It all comes to a head when he lets himself get possessed by the literal concept of love to save his friends, potentially at the cost of his own life. Love sticks around and luckily his soul is strong enough to survive it. Think a GreedLing sort of situation. Love takes one look at him and is like damn bitch you live like this, and starts helping him combat those tendencies.

Jamie’s also bisexual and doesn’t know it, black, and bipolar. He’s really into robots and creates little guys to help him and his friends fight the villains. His best friend is someone who gets reincarnated over and over, and he won’t. They are partners for life and the only reason Jamie’s involved in the plot is because of her.

Warm, medium brown skin with dreadlocks that go down to his chin. Almost always wears a hoodie and jeans. After he gets possessed, his teeth grow sharper. He wears glasses

This Tsukasa has switched places with another version of himself as a result of an incident in which his previous powers were stolen after being abducted. He is now set to become a king if he is to ever go to his new universe. Down below is lore for his previous identity.

This is a blog for an au version of Tsukasa who was killed in an incident involving a time anomaly and was later revived by another timekeeper (WXS Miku)

In his universe, he was responsible for preventing time anomalies before they can interfere with events in the timeline. His revival was meant to correct a mistake before it could have a severe impact on the flow of time.

Timekeepers are capable of detecting objects or living beings that are at risk of triggering a time anomaly if left unchecked, and thus they're required to take care of them in any way they see fit until the time anomaly is successfully averted. In Tsukasa's case, she usually resorts to either picking up objects and putting them into a huge living space she shares with Miku or simply luring living beings away from the events playing at hand.

Timekeepers are also able to time travel to any point in time

Tsukasa is unable to make his presence known to anyone in his universe because of the risks that could come with revealing the existence of timekeepers to the world. There was an incident where he did, in fact, have to reveal himself to the public in order to stop a serious time anomaly, causing him to be forced to wipe everyone’s memory of him to make sure no one spreads the truth. This incident has left him deeply traumatized.

Since Timekeeper Tsukasa is... a unique case, she got transported into what I'm going to call ✨the pjsk rp verse✨ through different means. It was a mere accident on her part in which she tried to travel to the future, but instead sent herself into a whole other universe separate from hers. Because she's not in the one she's supposed to be from, her powers grow unstable and she's unable to return home until her powers completely stabilize. She also loses the ability to detect time anomalies, though she can't figure out a reason why. Right now, she's just a god who can't use her powers whatsoever.

Because of his circumstances, he never got the chance to meet Emu, Nene, and Rui. That means the only ones he knows from the main cast would have to be Ichika, Saki, Honami, Shiho, Shizuku, Toya, and maybe Airi (in the sense that he only knows about her through what Saki's said about her. Pretty sure it's canon Saki was a huge fan of Happy Happy Everyday)

He may end up confused by the existence of sekai at first, as this au wasn't built with sekai existing in mind

Because Miku is a timekeeper (and possibly other vs) in this au, the concept of virtual singers may not be present in Tsukasa’s universe, as they would exist in different forms

Will add more lore if I have to

Update: on 11/28/2023, there has been a recent discovery that Tsukasa can get prophetic visions through his dreams. Whether this is his powers manifesting once more in a different form or something else is currently unknown to everyone around her.

Dr Wily's World Domination: Kaladin Stormblessed VS Air Man

Kaladin Stormblessed had been informed (likely by fellow Cosmere faller Shallahi but who knows for sure) that Dr. Wily had begun his world domination attempt, and had VermilineCorp's support, but he was not the sort to wait it out and hope to live, no no, not Kaladin Stormblessed. So against what some would call better judgement, he had snuck aboard a VermilineCorp aerial attack platform, having flown and leapt across Dr. Wily's flying Goblin robots to get here

It was definitely… strange, these mechanical monsters. Navani had only recently figured out how to create flying machines on Roshar, these were something else entirely.

Roshar… He missed home at this point. Not only because of his friends, that was obvious, but also because of the easy access to Investiture. He didn't realize what Zahel was talking about until he had to fend for himself to get access to Surgebinding. Sylphrena roused Kaladin from his musings

Kal, on your left!

The sprightly Honorspren transformed into a spear in Kaladin's hands, and they tore through a Petit Goblin, it crashing down to the ground. They had to be careful not to destroy the larger devices. Neither of them wanted that potential property damage. He took a Thunder Stone, inhaling the Light from within. At least Shallahi's Investiture method worked for him as well. A VermilineCorp Guard spotted him as he ascended

?! Sound the alarm! Trespasser on Goblin 35!

The guard runs into the building on the platform, as other guards begin shooting at him. A few Wily bots begin closing on Kaladin as well. Getting surrounded wasn't good, but the shots were more worrisome. Syl turned into a shield, and he blocked the fire as he charged through. The front was tough enough that it wouldn't kill, though he could easily change it back into a spear if necessary. The guards were knocked down - they must not have been prepared for someone to actually resist them - but the Wily bots still pursue him. Bothersome. More guards are rushing out of that station. It's likely the commander's in there. Perfect. He used the Surge of Gravitation. For him, "Forward" became "down," and he "fell" towards the station door. He canceled the Surge, using the Sylspear to cut open the door. He wasn't going to bother with checking to see if it was unlocked, this was faster. Going inside, he sees more V-Corp guards, and a rather large robot that seems to be directing everything. The robot seems to notice him

Got someone trying to blow us away? Too bad! Their wind stops here!

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Kal kept in a battle ready stance, Sylspear in hand. I'm going to assume that you're working under Wily?

You'd be right. And all who oppose him will be blown over by me!

Air Man goes up to face Kaladin properly and immediately the fan starts going. Air Shooters inbound. Kaladin wasn't sure exactly what that was supposed to accomplish, but then the wind hit him. It was like being tossed about in a Highstorm… How could one figure make such fierce winds? He used the Surge of Adhesion to stick himself to the ground. It was all he could do, really, to fight the wind, though it meant he took a hit from an Air Shooter. It felt like he was being ripped at, but the Light made sure he didn't die immediately. Almost immediately after the winds passed, he undid the Surge of Adhesion.

Your winds need a bit more than that. You're in my domain here, and I'll keep that title. Last chance to surrender.

To be honest, he didn't want to fight this guy. The moment he got close enough to land a hit it would be over. So it would be better to offer surrender now.

You've got it all wrong, pal. I think you'll find that you are in my domain, so I will give you one last chance to surrender!

.. Well. Couldn't say that he didn't give him an opportunity.

Kaladin slashed the spear behind him, leaving a deep gash in the metal floor of the building. It was the cleanest cut this area had ever seen. He used Gravitation again, and "forward" once again became "down," accelerating his approach to Air Man. Air Man does the rather unconventional tactic of pointing his fan blades at Kaladin, causing him to fall into them. He then motions, and some guars force a group of very overworked pink haired servants to raise the walls, opening the arena to the air and making a very real risk that Air Man could blow Kaladin off of the platform

Hey, that's cheating!

Kaladin ignored the pain of being hit in the leg by a metal fan blade repeatedly. His goal was simple: destroy this robot. He swiped with the Sylspear, and while it didn't actually hit Air Man, it left another gash in the floor. To be honest, he was more worried about the slaves than anything else here. He could handle a soldier. He'd handled plenty. But these… They weren't in it because they wanted to be. Memories of the Singers, on march to Kholinar, filled his mind. When they're eventually freed -- and it would happen -- he didn't know what they would do to their former captors. To be honest, maybe they had the right to do whatever they wished. It was a question that he still had to grapple with even now.

Slave labor? That's low.

Air Man does not seem to care about Kal's remark, instead walking closer to the edge. Yep he's definitely going to try and throw Kal off. Kaladin had half a mind to stick himself to the robot, but he instead decided that letting him think he won would be a better option. He let the robot throw him off the side, activating the Surge of Gravitation again to float in the air. No movement, just hanging there, as if he were standing on the ground. Air Man is… baffled, to say the least. He tries to solve this weird thing by blowing harder, which, predictably, does not accomplish much to Kaladin.

However it does cause a problem in the arena itself, as now everything is being blown over the side - room fittings, effects, weapons guards and - to Kal's horror - servants. One of the pink hairs is hanging to the edge of the wall desperately trying not to fall. It seems her self-preservation instinct overrided the mental block all the shifters Kal had seen (with one exception) were held in.

The robot could wait. He sank down, flying by to grab the shifter and place her on the arena itself.

Really wish you could just attack him directly, Syl.

We've been over this. I need to be in your hand to be a weapon for more than a second, I can't just drop onto the guy and slice him in half.

I know, he laughed. Storms, he was enjoying this again. That was new. Just wishful thinking on my part.

He faced the Robot Master, Sylspear in hand again. He was ready to stop playing around. He charged, thrusting his spear. If all went accordingly, it would be directly through the fan blade. That wind was the most dangerous thing right now. Kal's spear lands true, and the fan is disrupted!

Gah! Don't go thinking my wind's out yet!

If you know what's good for you, it will be.

Air Man raises his buster and sends more mini tornadoes around the room. He then starts working on his fan with his hand. Kaladin weaved past the smaller tornadoes, slamming his spear again into the fan. How this robot even survived the first hit was beyond him. Perhaps it could go without its chest and still function? Air Man was very off his step, so it's not like the spear hadn't done anything, but there was one small issue: With the wind gone, things were safer, but now the guards felt confident attacking again. A trio of V-Corp guards approached Kaladin's backside on jetpacks, guns blazing, and the 2 guards who held the shock prods used on the shifters approached Kal from next to Air Man. The shock prods just looked like spears to him, so he knew how to handle those: Respect the reach, and if able, cut the heads off. However, they were definitely less necessary to deal with than the ones that were using those ranged weapons. Syl transformed into a shield, and Kaladin approached the ranged attackers steadily.

These guards seem more focuesed on causing harm to their target than following any sort of efficient tactics, which proves to be their downfall - to the average person on their world, they're likely unbeatable, but to a skilled fighter, they're nothing but disorganized bullies. Kaladin dispatches them with relative ease, and the prod wielders would be swiftly next, if Kaladin didn't spy that Air Man was making progress on fixing his fan, leaving him something of a dilemma He would have flown back to Air Man again, but Thunder Stones weren't the best source of Investiture, so he needed to conserve it. He didn't want to touch his Spheres yet. Those were a last resort. He decided Air Man was more of a threat than the prod wielders, running at the robot. He did spend a bit of Investiture to leave a spot on the ground that when stepped on would stick his pursuer to that spot, though. Air Man is caught by surprise, giving Kal an opportunity for several strikes, though he does take an Air Shooter to the face once Air Man figures out what's happening, which, while unpleasant, isn't enough to knock the hero off his feet.

At that moment Kal hears a commotion and sees a guard ruthlessly shock prodding a shifter, who's curled up and squeaking in pain and fear

GET OUT OF THE WAY YOU WORTHLESS TRASH!

Don't pay attention. You have a larger threat right now.

And yet... He swore to protect those who couldn't protect themselves. Air Man was a man that didn't know he was dead yet. This Shifter needed him, and he wasn't about to let her suffer. He doesn't say anything. He simply thrusts the Sylspear through the guard, eyes burning to ash as the spear severs his soul.

Air Man clicks the fan back into place, and lines his buster up with it. A red gear then appears on the buster. If this is what it looks like, it won't be good. Fortunately it seems this configuration is full offense. Kal has just a second to react before things get HAIRY. That wasn't something he wanted to deal with in the slightest. He threw himself back into the fight with Air Man, though instead of running his spear through, he laid a hand on the Robot Master's outside. For Air Man, gravity intensified tenfold. Kaladin felt the last of his Light leave him. He hoped this would give him enough time to restock with another Thunderstone. This causes some kind of collapse with the gear, and before he knows it a chain reaction blows Air Man apart into glowing orbs that fly away, leving behind a strange device and a Flying-type TM. He… wasn't exactly sure what happened there, but he didn't care. He was exhausted, and he needed to see what these were. He hadn't actually seen a TM before.

Kaladin got: Air Shooter TM W10 Air Shooter

Air Shooter: Air Man's Special Weapon. It is an arm-mounted cannon that causes air to become tornadoes, being used to fire several small whirlwinds that spread out and rise upward, making it an effective weapon against airborne enemies. This version of the weapon does not use ammo, but takes time and air to suck into itself with every shot

TM W10 Air Shooter: Air Man's Special Weapon. The user sends 3 tornados to deal damage and blow away all weather effects on the field

Kaladin Stormblessed was, unfortunately, illiterate, so he didn't know what this said. However, he didn't really care. He'd just take them to Quasar if necessary. Speaking of which, he decided to call Opportunity. She might have an idea what to do about these other Shifters. Sylphrena was currently zipping around, allowing the Shifters to see her. They needed some sort of pick me up after this, after all.

Huh? Kal?

There are... A lot of Shifters here. I don't know how to handle this, I thought you or Quasar might.

Yeah! Bring them to Slateport! We'll know what to do!

Understood. I'll meet you all there. He looked to the Shifters, his expression softening. Alright. I need you all to do something important for me, alright? We're heading to Slateport City. You'll meet a friend there. He wasn't really expecting his attitude to win anyone over, and to be honest he hated that he was using their nature to manipulate them, but it was for their benefit that they listened. The shifters, unfortunately, all seem to be in the mental block that keeps them subservient. At least they'll be easy to transport, but still, hope the Incursionists can help them. Upon arrival to Slateport the shifters comply with Kal's directions, and Oppy ushers them to the Alley, where Quasar's ready to help them
