when i first met my bestie of 9 years, we bonded over three things:

One, she was a friend of a friend who's also a fellow cosplayer (hella pro at it too)

So the place I worked at for 15 years went bust 3 years ago partly because of Covid. Partly because they couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

Regardless, I managed to find another job, so I was never unemployed. I'll have been there 3 years, May 17th. I never knew what it was like to work for a decent employer who gives a shit about his staff and rewards and appreciates hard work. In 3 years, I've had 6 pay raises.

And every time told how much they appreciate me and how hard I work, and they hope I stay with them for a very long time. And honestly, every time it makes me cry, just for once feeling appreciated.

I've just spent 10 minutes blubbing because I'm appreciated and rewarded for my hard work.
