It’s three thirty something in the afternoon and this is the state of me. I haven’t managed a shower since my workout this morning. The kids have been extra hard work today all clingy and grizzly. My tolerance levels are at an all time low because I’m tired and tired me equals a grumpy, snappy, less patient Mum. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was feeling annoyed at not having a minute to myself, pissed off at the untidy house and ready to blow if I had to deal with another toddler tantrum when that very same toddler asked me if he could hold his little sister. He cuddled her and posed for photos and played with her on the floor and my goodness he can make her giggle like no one else! My heart melted 😍 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then I started typing this, while lying on the floor myself, and he took my phone off me and lay down on me to give me a massive hug. Cue Mama tears. Cue the wave of Mum guilt hitting me like a tonne of bricks for being so grouchy with him all day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So I’m reminding myself that IDGAF if the house is a mess or if I’m unshowered. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Reminding myself one day I’ll be sad because my kids won’t want to be anywhere near me and I’ll miss the clingy days. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Reminding myself that if the kids are dressed, clean nappied (probably not a word?!), fed and napped I’m winning. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Reminding myself that today is bloody hard but tomorrow probably (HOPEFULLY!) won’t be. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Reminding myself I am doing my best. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Reminding myself I’ve got this. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #thatwasdeep #idgaf #selfappreciation #ivegotthis #mummoments #mumlife #mumoftwo #motherhood #nzmum #kiwimum #kiwimamalife #lifewithatwoyearold #toddlerlife #siblinglove #bigbrotherlove #saturdaysnuggles #mumcuddles #pipsunpudging #tomorrowisanewday
