Life is exactly how I thought it would turn out. I thought I’d work in a city, dress smart every day, live in an apartment with a bit of a terrace. You go to school adults ask “what do you want to be when you grow up” But how do we really know? Yes it’s good to have ambition, it’s good to dream, it’s good to have goals to work towards. But then what happens when they don’t pan out like you thought? What happens when the grades aren’t good enough? When you have health complications? When life just starts taking you down a different path? Have you failed because your goals change? Because you changed your mind? Now listen I’ve had jobs ALOT of jobs. I’ve got jobs because I needed cash. Jobs where everyone else went to work and it’s easy to get in so why not, I’ve had jobs that lasted a day, two weeks, months & years. Jobs I loved and was heart broken to leave & jobs I bloody hated. But… I’ve not failed, even though some may see it that way. Nope I’ve had experience. I’ve made memories, I’ve had a work ethic. Right now I’m loving the work I do, loving meeting new people. Loving sharing what I’m up to, how I got here, sharing my skills I’ve picked up, learnt, worked hard to understand. I’m loving being in this amazing community of women who all have their own story to tell. I’m loving being here for you to hold your hand when you are thinking you have failed, when you just want someone to say hey, it’s ok I’ve got ya, I’m adding new chapters to that book that who knows one day I may even write. So lovely friend, don’t think you’ve failed because things change. Can you believe it’s Monday all over again? What a week last week was. I was super emotional. I ended the week with a swim and thought that’s the reset I need. Unfortunately I got in between a dog fight and I came off worse for it. So now I’m sporting a hole in one arm. 🤪 So This morning I’m heading for a walk followed by some meditation to reset my week. This week is another busy one & I have not one but two brew at twos. - today (Monday) and Friday. I also have guests. Head over to mums in the groove on Facebook to have a listen in. September. A new chapter begins. A brand new month, a brand new chapter for some. My littlest twins are off to full time school today for the first time. A new school year is a great time to start fresh. To start working on those goals. This week I’m easing into full time working this week with two days already gone, today I’m off for a photo shoot then a couple of meetings and some downtime before big things next week. I’m having a break this week from Brew@Two Good luck to all those with little ones heading to school for the first time this week or next. Whether you feel ready or not they will be ok. Well hello there birthday Month. This year is just flying by. Back in the day I used to post a “what’s coming up this month” kinda post So time to go back to the roots - This month is going to be an exciting month for me and for you! 🌀Today I’m heading out into the real world for a sassy soirée. With the lovley @creativsas & @thequeenbeedani among others for JoJos book launch. 🌀Next week is the start of the #summergroove event to help you go from overwhelmed & full of mum guilt to creating a memorable summer! 🌀I’ll be launching my signature coaching program which I can not wait to share with you. 🌀I’m heading on a PR day to get my mug & story in the media more. 🌀I’m finishing up bee heard course and starting the bee inspired part of the mastermind to get me ready for speaking on stage in September. 🌀It’s the start of the summer holidays which I’m really looking forward to. 🌀It my birthday and we are going away for a long weekend by the seaside this fills me with so much joy. Ya know. Sometimes you need a friend who gives u a hand when you are having a wobble. The past couple of weeks have been intense. Yesterday they hit me and knocked me off my feet a bit. I took some moments to cry, grieve, breath, rest & reset. (I still have a little more reset work to do. But Then it’s time to get back on to helping you do the same. It’s ok to have wobbles from time to time. Life is not perfect- challenges will come and go. But if we hit those challenges from a stronger standing we can deal with them much better. This is my #sassyselfie because @creativsas told me to look at myself in the mirror and tell myself what an incredible person I am. How far I’ve come in just a few months & how many lives I’m going to change for the better as a result of my little and big blips in life!!
