The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police has summoned Ashish Hemrajani, CEO of BookMyShow, along with a senior team member, in connection with an investigation into the alleged black market sale of tickets for the highly anticipated Coldplay concert in Mumbai.

The summons was issued following a complaint by advocate Amit Vyas, who raised concerns over unauthorized sales of tickets for the British rock band’s upcoming performances.

Hemrajani and the company’s technical head have been instructed to appear before the authorities on Saturday. Coldplay is slated to perform in Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21, 2025, as part of their ‘Music of the Spheres’ World Tour, marking their first return to India in eight years.

Tickets for the event, which went on sale through BookMyShow on September 22, were quickly sold out due to high demand. Originally priced between Rs 2,500 and Rs 35,000, tickets have reportedly resurfaced on resale platforms at inflated prices, ranging from Rs 35,000 to as much as Rs 3 lakh, prompting concerns among fans and authorities.

In a statement earlier this week, BookMyShow clarified that it has no affiliations with third-party ticketing platforms such as Viagogo and Gigsberg. The company urged the public to avoid purchasing tickets from unauthorized sellers, warning that such tickets may be counterfeit. It was June 14, 2020. I woke up late that morning. I received the news that Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput is no more. He had killed himself by hanging himself in his bedroom. I thought, how can this be? His film “Chhichhore” was released just a few days back. In that, he had given the message “Suicide is not a solution”. Then how can this person who advocated against suicide, kill himself? The majority of Indians believed that he was actually murdered. Born on January 21, 1986, Sushant Singh Rajput emerged to be an iconic Bollywood star. He left his engineering studies in his third year, despite scoring outstanding marks in his engineering selection examination, to join the Bollywood film industry. Otherwise, he would have been a brilliant mechanical engineer today. He joined Bollywood as a struggling side performer and rose to fame from starring in Indian television serials to becoming an iconic Bollywood hero. Had Disha done so, she would have fallen just below the building. If she had taken a run and then jumped from her balcony, then also her body wouldn’t have dropped so far. This was clear evidence that a group of people had flung her body with full force from her balcony. A Shocking Truth! Disha’s original post-mortem report revealed serious injuries all over her body including her private parts. But that original forensic report was altered and a new report was made by the forensics which ruled out any signs of rape. A big conspiracy went on. If you think that the police were helping in this case, then wake up, you have been pranked! The Mumbai police were in fact bent on covering every piece of evidence that would have proved Disha was murdered that night. You might know why. Justice Delayed Is Justice Denied! I have to tell you that the eyewitness has clearly identified politician Aditya Thackeray in the location. Probably the watchman was made to disappear or was murdered. Deep wounds were revealed in Disha’s body during post-mortem. But the police ruled out the fact of how the wounds occurred as the original post-mortem report revealed that the wounds were inflicted much before she had fallen from her balcony. Sushant Was An Evidence Himself! After Disha’s murderers tampered with all the evidence on the night of June 8, 2020, they left behind one piece of evidence. That was Sushant Singh Rajput himself! It has been revealed that Sushant knew about the murderers and he was going to unveil them in front of the media. You will be astonished to know that after Disha’s murder, Sushant had changed 15 to 20 SIM cards! Either he was encountering death threat calls or maybe he was trying to contact his live-in girlfriend Riya Chakraborty who had deserted him and blocked his original number. But nobody knows the truth behind why he changed so many SIM cards! It was revealed that after Disha’s murder, Sushant had called his sister and cried, “Now they won’t spare me as well!” Yes, this was the note from Sushant Singh Rajput to his sister. Six days after Disha’s death, Sushant’s body inflicted with multiple injuries was discovered hanging in his bedroom from his ceiling fan. Post-mortem reports and the police immediately ruled it as a suicide. Nobody cared about how a person who died by hanging himself had multiple injuries on his body. Facts Tell This Was Not A Suicide! Further, Sushant was exactly six feet tall. The space between his bed and the ceiling fan from which his body was hanging was exactly 5 feet 11 inches. In fact, his legs were touching the bed. How can a six-foot-tall man die by hanging from a 5-foot 11-inch space? The killers might have forgotten that to die by hanging, one requires a space greater than their height and also a small table or chair on which they need to stand. And the astonishing part is that the fan from which Sushant’s body was hanging was intact. It should have broken from the jerk or his body weight if he had really hung himself. When someone hangs himself, the cartilage of his neck breaks. But in Sushant’s case, his neck cartilage was intact. Instead, a deep red mark was surrounding his neck which indicated that someone had strangled him to death. The bruises on his body indicated a struggle. Mind it, all these evidences were removed from his original post-mortem report which I am revealing today in this post. Suspicious, Isn't It? You will be shocked to know that when the police and the medical team reached Sushant’s flat to uncover his corpse, his attendees had already taken down his hanging body from the ceiling fan and mummified it by wrapping it completely with a white cloth. Isn’t this tampering with evidence? Same as Disha’s case, over here, all CCTV footage and pieces of evidence were deleted from the crime scene. The mysterious fact is that on the night of June 13, 2020, all lights in Sushant’s flat except his kitchen were switched off at around 10:30 P.M. which never happened before. Sushant was a late to-bedder. Might be he was killed on June 13, 2020, and his cook and Siddharth Pathani were making things up. Were they behind his murder? Did Disha’s murderers bribe them and make them kill Sushant and then they pretended to be eyewitnesses to his “suicide”? It is possible because as per sources it has been revealed that Sushant had come to know every detail about Disha’s murder and was about to reveal everything to the media in a few days. These guys had already taken his body down from the ceiling fan before the police and medical team arrived. Might be that they killed him and later framed the story of a suicide! Who Were The Culprits? The post-mortem report of Sushant didn’t reveal that he had juice on June 14, 2020 morning whereas Siddharth Pathani and the cook told the police that he did have juice on June 14 morning. A big contradiction to their statements, isn’t it? Are they lying? If they were present all the time in Sushant’s flat then what about the bruises on his body? Who else could have beaten him up and strangled him to death? There was no one else other than Siddharth and the cook along with Sushant in that flat! The startling fact is that Sushant’s live-in girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, who had left his house, was getting continuous calls on her mobile phone from June 8 till June 15 from a mysterious number she had named “AU”. It is estimated that this “AU” was none other than Aditya Thackeray. A case was filed against Aditya Thackeray demanding his immediate arrest regarding Sushant and Disha’s death cases, but he has appealed to the Mumbai High Court that these are false allegations against him. Location trackers have tracked that Bollywood actors Dino Morea and Sooraj Pancholi were also present along with Aditya Thackeray during Disha’s death incident. Dino Morea was quite popular during the '90s and early 2000s era. Sooraj Pancholi, the son of popular Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi, happens to be the Godchild of superstar Salman Khan. So, nobody on earth can touch him and he even faced trial for the mysterious death of his girlfriend Jiah Khan in 2013. They had even gone as far as posing as officers from the Delhi Police Cyber Cell, sharing identity cards through WhatsApp. These menacing messages, sent between August 7 and 9, demanded a sum of ₹56,000 from Pawar while threatening to publish a compromising video of him on YouTube.

Legal Complexities While the heart-wrenching details of the sextortion case have now come to light, the police's response to the situation has raised questions. Incident No.9- 

State Bank of India – one of the country’s leading banks had filed a Recovery Case before the Recovery Officer of the DRT.

The borrower, a local shipping magnate of sorts had mortgaged a vessel and the vessel had to be arrested at any cost as the borrower’s account had become NPA and it had been learnt by the bank officials from reliable sources that the borrower was going about his business merrily. An application came to be filed before the Learned Recovery Officer praying that the ship docked in Vishakapatnam harbour be arrested. The Mumbai Branch of the bank had directed their local branch officers to keep a close tab on the exact date the vessel was to arrive and dock at the Vishakhapatnam harbour for fuel only to set sail the very next day to Paradip.

The Recovery Officer despite being a legal manager of another leading public sector bank [on deputation] did not understand what ‘arresting’ a ship legally meant and the ramifications that would ensue.

Not wanting to let his lack of knowledge get in the way, the Learned Recovery Officer summoned his stenographer and necessary orders were passed.

An Advocate Court Commissioner was appointed with directions to have the order complied with forthwith with the assistance of the local police. A letter was addressed to the local police station at Vishakhapatnam to ensure that the local police would extend the fullest of co-operation to the Advocate Court Commissioner who would be travelling all the way from Mumbai.

State Bank of India was directed to book flight tickets for this Learned Advocate Court Commissioner and a particular day was fixed where the local SBI team comprising of bank officers of the local bank’s recovery branch together with constables of the local police and the branch’s local officers who had disseminated information on the vessel’s arrive at the port, would accompany the Learned Court Commissioner for purposes of completion of the given task of arrest of the ship/vessel.

As the letterhead of the Learned Recovery Officer had the Ashok Chakra embossed and as the Learned Authority was acting under the aegis of the Central Government, the Vishakhapatnam police dispatched a team of a dozen constables with a Senior Inspector to ensure that all compliances were met with.

Permission of the port authorities was sought and everything was set.

The given day arrived and in line with the information that had been obtained, the ship promptly arrived at the Vishakhapatnam harbour. The entire team that had waited patiently made a run for the docks. The constabulary surrounded the ship. The local fishermen and crews of various ships present at the docks were stunned as none of them had witnessed such an event in their lives.

Finally the orders were served upon the Captain of the ship and the senior police inspector handcuffed the Captain forthwith. The order was read out and the order read as follows –

“Bank has filed application for arrest of ship. Application allowed. Captain of ship is directed to be arrested forthwith and brought to Mumbai and show cause as why he should not be directed to pay the Applicant Bank’s dues forthwith”

Sapna Gill, a social media influencer with her friend Shobhit Thakur and 6 other people have been arrested by the Oshiwara police for allegedly intimidating and assaulting the cricketer and his friends. Gill seems to have manhandled Shaw for not allowing them to click selfies with him, while her aids damaged the batsman’s vehicle, along with persistent argument, threats for lodging a false police case, and demanding Rs. 50,000 to settle the matter.

Sapna Gill has more than 2, 20,000 followers on Instagram and is a social media influencer. She is residing in Mumbai and hails from Chandigarh. Gill has starred in titles such as Mera Watan, Kashi Amarnath, Ravi Kishan and Dinesh Lal Yadav, and Nirhua Chalal London. She also had a wide online presence on YouTube, Snapchat, and Josh. A video on social media has gone viral. It shows Prithvi Shaw getting manhandled.

Ashish Yadav, the flatmate (for the last three years in Bandra) and friend of Shaw, and owner of a café lodged a complaint about the event at the police. On Thursday afternoon, Gill was summoned to the police station for preliminary inquiries, which hinted at her inclusion in the offense. Thus, Gill was arrested by the officials. But her advocate said that Gill was looking for only a selfie with Shaw as she was a fan of the cricketer.

However, as per the lawyer, the cricketer was not sober and misbehaved with Gill, even misusing his power and position by assaulting her with a wooden bat. The police said that it was Thakur and Gill who was drunk at the time of the incident. According to the complaint by Yadav, Gill, and Thakur went over to the hotel to Shaw for a selfie and initially, he permitted them for it. But the duo kept on insisting the cricketer for additional selfies, which Shaw did not consent to.

Following this, Thakur and Gill began to misbehave and argue with Shaw and both were supposedly inebriated. Seeing the commotion, the hotel manager stepped in and asked Thakur and Gill to vacate the premises. Thereafter, Yadav and Shaw had dinner at the venue and when stepping out of the hotel with their friend, they found Thakur with a baseball bat in his hand. And the accused then attacked the vehicle with the baseball bat after Shaw and Yadav sat in the car. The windshield of the vehicle is damaged, while Gill also manhandled the cricketer.

As trouble heightened, Yadav and others went in the vehicle to Oshiwara, while Shaw was shifted to another car. According to Yadav, he said a white-colored car and three motorcycles were chasing their vehicle. And the followers around 4 am then took a U-turn at a petrol pump on Link Road and attacked his car. Among all, Thakur broke the car’s rear windshield with the baseball bat. Gill and Thakur in the car and six people on motorcycles then abused Yadav and others who were with him. Then Yadav reached the Oshiwara police station with his car.

Gill and Thakur with other 6 people also went to the Oshiwara police station. Here Gill argued with Yadav and threatened that he should pay Rs. 50,000 to settle the matter. Otherwise, she will register a false complaint with the police against them. Hearing this, it was then Yadav lodged a complaint against all who attacked them. According to the complaint, a case has been registered with Oshiwara police for all eight accused under IPC (Indian Penal Code) sections 148 (rioting), 143 (unlawful assembly), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 384 (extortion).
