Gate hours at all marine terminals will resume on October 4th, and vessel operations will resume at 7 a.m. The agreement comes after port employers offered a 62% increase in wages over six years. The strike had closed container ports from Maine to Texas and threatened to disrupt supply chains. The new offer, up from a previously proposed 50% increase, came after the White House pressed large shipping lines and cargo terminal operators to make a new offer to the union.
