Bellara: Murieann and Bellara become fast friends. They bond over their mutual interest in weird phenomena, and love to swap stories about the strange situations they've found themselves in. They're the type of friends who finish each others' sentences and know what each other is thinking all the time. They know how to cheer each other up and fight for each others' happiness at all costs. Bellara is the light in Muireann's darkest moments.

Davrin: Muireann didn't expect to love Davrin as much as she does. She doesn't have much in common with a Warden on paper, but their shared fascination with monsters opened conversations that led to one of the most important relationships in Muireann's life. He's emotional intelligence on legs and offers Muireann support and advice as she navigates the complex problems she's dealing with. Davrin is definitely closer to Taash than he is to Muireann, but the three of them have this silly dynamic that feels like home.

Emmrich: Muireann struggles to bond with Emmrich. She doesn't like necromancy, which causes immediate distrust on her end. Honestly, if Bellara hadn't been so excited about it she probably wouldn't have brough him onto the team at all. As she gets to know him she warms to him a lot, and while they're never going to be anything more than colleagues they do part ways with a mutual respect and fondness for each other.

Harding: Lace and Muireann were solid friends for the entirety of the events of Veilguard. They had been travelling with Varric for a year, and that created a bond that couldn't be broken. They teased each other like sisters and were always on the same page. Muireann is a human raised by a dwarf and Lace grew up surrounded by humans, which played into their mutual understanding a lot. They are also really close with their parents, and would often stay up together writing letters home. Losing her and finding out about Varric at the same time was an extremely tough blow that takes Muireann a long time to recover from, though getting revenge on Solas and the gods certainly helped.

Lucanis: Lucanis and Muireann didn't trust each other at first for understandable reasons. Finding out he was possessed did make Muireann question whether bringing him in was a good idea, and Lucanis is slow to trust at the best of times. As they get to know each other they do become friends, and while they don't have much in common they're always happy for each others' company in the early hours of the morning.

Neve: Much like Lucanis, Muireann and Neve don't have much in common. Muireann has a lot of respect for Neve's work, and an endorsement from Varric goes a long way with Neve when it comes to recognizing Ren as a leader. That being said, they do butt heads a lot: they just have very different ways of approaching situations and making decisions. This comes to a head when Muireann agrees to help Treviso over Minrathous- while rationally she understands why Muireann did what she did, it does create a rift between them that never really goes away completely.

Taash: It's difficult to put into words the love these two have for each other. The mutual attraction was immediate, and they have so much in common that it was basically inevitable that they'd develop feelings for each other. They just click in a way that's easier than breathing; conversation flows easily, there's no pressure or expectation, they communicate on their own terms without masking, and they support and protect each other fiercely. Taash fits so perfectly into Muireann's life she can't remember how she ever felt complete without them. To be loved is to be understood, etc.

okay wait i already like muireann way better as a lord of fortune lmao, veil jumpers are fine but they're SO focused on elven history which was never muireann's main reason for being there

i think i'm just going to tweak her lore to make it so that she's still a fade anomalist and mainly does her own thing but is routinely called in by the lords to help with retrieval and documentation of anomalous artifacts (basically the same thing she was doing for the veil jumpers but more general instead of being specifically about elven artifacts)

i also just love her being closer to rivain because that's where her dad is and she's super close with him!
