Last day in USA :Vail

Today is our final day on this epic 5 month trip and Shelley took us to Vail in the Rockies which are still quite heavily covered with snow . The highest point we recorded was over 11,000ft and it was snowing even though its nearly June, which I find astonishing. Vail was a little lower and considerably warmer and this is known as the mudseason as its between winter and summer so also the season for repairs, repainting etc so there was a lot of construction and repairs going on, benches being revarnished etc but still a lovely place even though it started to rain when we arrived.

Thankfully we found a restaurant for lunch quite quickly and by the time we had eaten the sun was back out and we could get out and about and look around. then it was back and finish packing ready for tomorrow's flights home.
