“This place is pretty nice,” she stated as she sat at the bar to The Embassy. It was her way of supporting Mateo that didn’t involve putting MTEO merch all over everything. “Do you only play your music here or do you actually get other people to play, too?”

The concert was not as busy as he might have thought, but it was free, which explained why there weren’t really that many people here. There was one scary looking guy by the merchandise booth wearing what looking like a really expensive suit, he smelled like death so Marshall did his best to keep his distance. This wasn’t really his scene, but the music was surprisingly good, not particularly technical but for an amateur DJ this MTEO person seemed like he was in his element. Marshall couldn’t imagine standing on a stage by himself like that, even if there was a rack between them, his performances were usually in a large orchestra where he was one of twelve other cellists. That’s what he preferred. “He’s pretty good, right?” Marshall commented to the girl nearest him, she was pretty, like, really pretty, so making conversation probably wasn’t going to be easy but he was doing his best. “I’m Marshall.”
