Couch Combat // Mary & Peter

Peter always loved the Gryffindor Common Room. The thick couches, roaring fire, hushed by communal atmosphere. What wasn’t to love? But even the comfortable couch couldn’t quell his problems right now. Fiddling with a Gobstone, Peter had settled himself into the ass groove of the left couch cushion. He didn’t know who made the ass grove, but he suspected it was a combined effort between him, James, and Sirius. It usually ended with James and Sirius having half a cheek on the cushion and Peter flattened on the floor. Damn Quidditch and it’s ability to bless muscles. The little Marauder stared into the fire, mesmerized but the dancing glow of orange. Orange. Orange tarts. Greta. Fuck, there goes his stomach. His teeth began gnawing on his cheek, which was already slightly bloody from the constant abuse it’s undergone in the past few days. Yes. It’d been a couple days since the kitchen incident, and he still hadn’t apologized. Like the coward he was. Peter flung the Gobstone into the fire, a little sad as he watched the green acid spit out onto the hearth.
