My name is Kristine and I am a plus size fashion blogger from Los Angeles. I have been a curvy girl all my life but that has never stopped my longing to be trendy and stylish. While it has sometimes been difficult, I have learned throughout the years how to dress my frame in the most flattering ways possible. I definitely live by the saying “Everything isn’t for everybody” however that doesn’t mean that you can’t take current fashion trends and make them work for you. So in order to show that, I decided to start my blog in September of 2013 with the catch phrase “A curvy girl living in a trendy world.” My mission and my goal was simple – to show that curvy women can be just as stylish and fabulous as everyone else. Since my debut, TrendyCurvy.com has grown tremendously, being featured in major publications such as People StyleWatch, Glamour Magazine, Essence Magazine and more.

Right, ready for a tasteful way of showing some skin? I am. But before that, if you're wondering what this bag is, it's a Nina Ricci. Along with Gucci and Dior, it's 1 of Grandma's favourite brands. Once you reach my age, you'll have amassed your own collection of bags to retrieve out of storage when you get bored, so don't feel bad if you've just gotten your first designer one, okay? Use it to death! You deserve to. I did when I got my first too!

Now, onto the outfit. Eh hem, this babe... where do I even begin 🤔 If you like having it all hang out, power to you. As for me, a classy style that gives people a cheeky peek at a perky thigh is enough to let their imagination run absolutely wild about what is underneath.

That's the power of sensual versus in-your-face sexual. Keeping it posh and elegant, @mskristine paired her black fitted dress with equally classic brown belt, knee-high boots and bag. Taking the matchy matchy style up a flawless notch, she donned simple gold bangles to complement her belt buckle and chain handle on the bag.

Sexy and classy aren't mutually exclusive. And this look powerfully shows it. Sublime.

You know... there's a reason I'm not an influencer. Whenever I'm in a hurry, photos are taken and posted as is, without any thought about aesthetics 😂 I didn't have the time to take these new rose gold hoop earrings out of the box to place them against a white background, so this will hafta do.

I've already worn them, btw, with the black bodycon dress which I posted about earlier.

So... jewellery. I'd wanted to wait a little bit more before doing up an inspo post, but dang these influencers look so luxe in all their finery, I itched and itched to share them and finally, I do 😅😅😅

Jewellery, in my opinion, like a designer bag, elevates the simplest outfit. Gold adornments - white, yellow and rose alike - plain or embellished with diamonds or gemstones, inject luxe vibes into our looks, so I don't leave home without at least a pair of earrings and either a bracelet, necklace or ring.

Onto the luxe temptresses.

I specifically chose this look by Kristine of @mskristine because she demonstrates perfectly just how a few key pieces make casual jeans look SO expensive. Hoop earrings are such a classic and go with everything, so I have at least 1 pair in white, yellow and rose gold.

Lenix of @lenix_trenae makes a monochromatic outfit pop with touches of gold near her face. Make sure you swipe right to see how the jewellery complements the rest of her outfits. Understated style is far from boring, you know? 😉

My preference is for solid gold items, true. During my younger days when I had a smaller budget, these demi-fine pieces on Alex of @learningtobefearless would've been my way of starting a collection of jewellery. They still have a place in my life, to provide some variety in terms of the looks I want. What is important is quality workmanship and Alex's rings are quite obviously well made.

Finally, Kellie of @itsmekellieb does jewellery similar to what I like. Layering multiple pieces on the neck, wrists and fingers may still be trending and it looks great. My preference though, will always be understated elegance over opulence, glamour and ostentation.

This look works when we want to glam up a corporate outfit or make jeans and tee look more expensive. Very very VERY nice.

So there you have it, ladies. Enjoy ogling at all the finery 😃

P/S: I might do another jewellery inspo post next time and share how I build my collection 😉 Please be patient because I need to be like an eagle and eye influencers with great looks, then swoop down and share them together with me, yah?
