It’s that time - you told me I could surprise you for our honeymoon, and you know I don’t take these rare opportunities lightly! (Plus I wasn’t about to pack a bag for you, we both know what sort of disaster that’d be!)

I know we’ve always talked about traveling through Europe, ticking off Italy, France, Spain, Romania (you’re insane), and the like off our joint bucket list. I almost booked us for a massive tour, but then thought - damn, baby. We’ve just been on a hell of a whirlwind for planning this wedding, moving you downtown, and while Europe sounds incredible - and we will do that some day - I wanted us to have a chance to be selfish and go somewhere that all we need to do is relax and get lost in each other.

But - not going to France meant not hearing you speak French for days at a time, and I couldn’t have that, frankly, and wanted to have the best of both worlds, so you and I are going to spend the next two weeks island hopping around French Polynesia - Bora Bora and Tahiti to be exactly - and maybe, if you’re really good, there’ll be a special secret stop for your birthday next weekend. 

Thank you for putting in so much time, care, and thought into planning our wedding. I won’t pretend to have been able to understand all the insane running around at the time, but yesterday was nothing short of a dream. Every time I think I couldn’t possibly love you more, you prove me wrong. And I look forward to a lifetime of being wrong about that.

So pack your bikinis, Gorgeous; we fly out tomorrow morning at eleven sharp!
