Mira took to her Instagram stories to share a picture of the pasta whipped up by Shahid and called it the best she has ever eaten. “The husband cooks for the first time in 5 years and this is by far the best pasta I have ever eaten!!! #nobias @shahidkapoor,” she wrote.

Shahid was shooting for his upcoming film, Jersey, in Punjab when the lockdown was enforced. Currently, he is quarantining with Mira and their kids, Misha and Zain, at the Radha Soami Satsang Dera in Beas. Recently, a video of the couple having a meal together in the dera premises went viral online.

During the lockdown, Shahid has been helping Mira with the household chores. During a Q&A session with fans on Twitter, he revealed that he is in charge of washing the utensils. “Mera department bartan ka hai. Tumhara (My department is doing the dishes, what’s yours)?” he told a fan, who asked if he was pitching in with chores.

Jersey tells the story of a cash-strapped former cricketer who makes a comeback to the sport in his mid-30s. The film also stars Pankaj Kapur and Mrunal Thakur.

John Abraham starrer Batla House is one of the much-awaited films of the year. The film will release on August 15. But, ahead of the film’s release, it seems like the film has landed in legal trouble.

According to latest reports, Maya Sharma widow of Delhi Police Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma, martyred in the Batla House encounter on September 19, 2008, has decided to continue the fight to protect her husband’s image and reputation and had also served a legal notice on the makers of the movie.

“I will not watch the movie. It portrays incorrect facts and figures,” Sharma told IANS.

“I had served a legal notice to the film’s makers to ensure that Mohan’s name and character is not depicted wrongly in the movie. Recently, I saw the trailer online and it paints a different picture. I feel hurt. It was a team of people,” she said.

“If they (filmmakers) were fair and wanted to portray what they have done then they should have called it ‘Post Batla House’. I object. You can’t take away one’s credit, supreme sacrifice of my husband,” she added.

Whether the filmmakers approached her before or during the making of the movie to collect information about her husband, Maya said, “They have neither spoken to me, nor approached me. All the communication that has happened, happened only after I sent a legal notice last year,” she said.

“Show reality and facts. Don’t hurt anyone’s feelings. When cops are out on duty they have sleepless nights. It’s not just about a person but the entire team. Our lives changed after he left us. It has taken us time to revolve and recover,” Maya said.

Meanwhile, talking about the film, it is based on Batla House encounter, officially known as Operation Batla House. The incident took place on September 19, 2008, against Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists in Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi.

The film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Prakash Raj and Ravi Kishan in pivotal roles.

The film is slated to release on August 15.
