Mr Luxbulb Headcanons because I have ideas but I don't want to write anything concrete. @weaver-z This is the only time I talk about this and then everything is forgotten. (Please I want my life back) Okay. Here we go.

He wears the green rubber gloves because he has ✨phobia of electricity✨

Used to be the physics teacher for a small school (no surprise there). Something science fictiony happened to him a la Jekyll and Hyde. (Yes I saw the video)

Is. Always. Smiling. And there are. So. Many. Teeth.

The light flickers when he is angry. When he is murderous, the bulb gives off a black coloured light (don't ask).

Was human once. Terrifying thing about him is that he remembers about being human, but doesn't care.

If you stay near him for a long time, your ears will start buzzing.

Nervous system made of wiring and circuitry (no surprise there either).

Total psychopath. Has killed without remorse. Will kill again.

If you're grades are bad, he will ask you to get on the podium and explain yourself. Do Not Get On The Podium.

Always locks the door when he enters a class. Will not leave until he is done teaching.

Scratchy voice, almost giggly way of speaking. Loves the sound of his own voice. Very, very shrill scream.

Proper Sexymen are amorphous by definition. Whoever's considering them has to be able to portray them in a way that's uniquely theirs, and the issue New Tumblrinas run into is that they attach Sexyman Status to established characters.

That's not the point, my sweet babes. The closest thing Pop Culture's given us to a proper Sexyman as of the last several years would be The Stanley Parable's Narrator.

He's just a voice, literally just a guy with a British accent. Is he old or young? Tall or short? Fat or thin? Kindly or cruel? He's an open canvas within fairly generous boundaries.

Sans? Unless you're very specifically fanwanking about an AU, Sans is as Toby Fox designed him. Reigen Arataka is as he was first designed in the manga. They're not amorphous, and rendering them as such means altering the character to a degree.

Mr. Luxbulb was a nothing-burger, an extension of a classroom PSA. The very fact that he began as less than nothing allowed him, and several other Sexymen like him, to briefly dominate the platform.

i think the big thing that New Tumblrinas (i.e. those who joined in the past ~5 years) are missing about sexyman history is that facelessness is PART of it. like i see a bunch of youths complaining about "the faceless podcast guy" and it's like oh. oh. we simply have different definitions of what constitutes a sexyman. you think it's sans and reigen and komaeda, which is valid but like.... cecil? wheatley? bill cipher? if they couldn't be drawn as a lanky white dude with blond hair and a vaguely menacing aura then 2013 tumblr did NOT care about them. i'm sorry to say it but sans wouldn't have survived here 10 years ago

Someone posted a picture of a poster that their math teacher has hung up in their classroom and said that it looks like a Tumblr Sexyman from an alternate reality. Obviously, people took this as a challenge. Fanart was being made. This then, in turn, led to animatics and OCs being created for a hypothetical story for this character. It has been maybe two to three, maybe four days since the original post has been made but there are already multiple posts in the character's tag and there are two blogs dedicated to him entirely. Slightly unrelated, but while looking at one of the blogs for him, I found out that there is a Tumblr Sexyman discord server. Anyway, all of this to say, Tumblr has evolved to the point where we are creating our own Sexymen and everyone here is either going to superhell or superheaven and I can't wait to find out which one it is. His name is Mr. Luxbulb, by the way.
