I didn’t really spam any songs this year, but looks like my most played ended up being The Battle by Weval.

Current music obsession:

Cadillac Car by Playboy Manbaby. This one has been in my brain on loop since I saw them in concert last month. Does that say something about the current state of my job satisfaction? Perhaps!

Song that reminds you of a significant moment from this year:

I Lost It (Self Respect) by Suzie True. They opened for Playboy Manbaby along with Gym Shorts and any one of the three bands could’ve been the most fun I’ve had at a concert since high school. One after the other, it was an absolutely killer show. Also I maybe fell in love with Suzie True’s lead singer a little bit

Album of the year so far:

Uhhh I think the only 2024 album I have listened to is Minewest Emo by saddyowner and TanookiAlex so it wins by default. It is a jam though

Pickleball is the most I have ever felt that there was some sort of insidious agent pulling at the strings of American society. Illuminati, shadow government, matrix simulation, what have you. Pickleball just appeared overnight and was apparently the new big fad except no one actually seems to play it. No one ever talks about pickleball. No one ever says “I have a pickleball team that meets every Thursday.” No one ever invites you for a match. Yet content farm pages on Twitter post about pickleball. Flyers show up pinned to bulletin boards and on the windows of Chinese restaurants advertising pickleball leagues. Pickleball courts open up in abandoned Sears in the mall. Employers host team building pickleball events. What for? What eldritch god or arcane algorithm has demanded that we must play pickleball?
