Colorado!

The theme of this blog was, and is, changes. I had intended those changes to be in my body (I had gained 40 pounds whilst on a medication, and haven’t lost the weight yet). Change is funny, though, because it comes in so many different ways. In this instance, I am facing a huge change---

I AM MOVING TO COLORADO IN JANUARY.

I haven’t lived out of the state in 15 years, and I have never lived out of state alone. Well, I won’t technically be alone; I’ll be with my fiancé and his family as he and I build our new life together. I’ll have my cats, and some of my yarn, and I will be happy. I’m taking only what I can carry in my car at first, and then I’ll move the rest of my belongings when we get our own apartment/home. 

I am so excited!

The beginning of the end of Bolivar. I didn't just up and decide to move, it's been slowly coming. It started 3 years ago when I took my first trip to Denver. But I kept pushing it off telling myself I wasn't ready. When I went for my birthday? It felt so home-like that when I lost my job, the first thing I searched for was positions in Cripple Creek. I knew I couldn't go there yet, but I know that's where I'm going. Where this picture was taken. I stood on the side of a mountain and felt full for once. Peaceful. At one with myself.
