“Everyone’s Experience with Aphasia is Unique”
Ed’s Story
I’m Ed. I like speaking and talking to people. I’m pretty good at public speaking. I have good computer skills. I’m also a Red Sox fan. I’m a volunteer at the library. I like golf and pickle ball. I’m also a movie and book lover. It’s been about 20 years since my stroke. When they did the MRI scan, the whole left hemisphere of my brain showed up black. They said my synapses were firing the opposite way. Just last year, I had surgery on my brain. There was blood on my brain, on the same side as the stroke.
It’s been about 20 years since my stroke. When they did the MRI scan, the whole left hemisphere of my brain showed up black. They said my synapses were firing the opposite way. Just last year, I had surgery on my brain. There was blood on my brain, on the same side as the stroke.
Having aphasia doesn’t mean I’m not smart. I know what I want to say, sometimes it’s hard to find the right words. It might come to me later though. But more people are becoming more aware of aphasia now than they did 20 years ago. People are becoming more aware and talking about it. I want people to know that it’s different for everyone. Over time, some people will progress so well. They’ll make big improvements. For others, they will progress too but maybe not as much. Some people won’t change too much at all. And some actually just get worse. So, I want people to know that everyone’s experience with aphasia is unique.
I am from Bedford, Massachusetts. You know Moby Dick? That was based in Bedford. Later, I moved to Meriden, Connecticut. My father got a new job. He was a blue collar worker, a meat inspector. At 18, I went to BU for college. Boston University, not Buffalo. I majored in history. Later, I worked at a co-op and was a peanut butter procurer. I was in the school’s newspaper.
I like [coming to the groups and] socializing. It’s good practice communicating. I like that we’re all making progress and working on ourselves.
The Moving Message is a better way to increase awareness. People come and they see the bios and our stories and pictures. They see these signs, talk to us, engage with us. It’s a great opportunity to educate people about aphasia. People can see us just as we are. They can see us as people.
After my stroke, I couldn’t drive for 6 months. I can drive now and I love it. Also after my stroke, I could kind of talk but not well. The people at the hospital told me, ‘If you’re not talking in 6 months, you won’t be able to’. Look at me now!
[When I’m talking to people,] first I explain that I have aphasia. I don’t want them to get frustrated with me when I ask them to repeat themselves Take the time to listen to me, help me to work through what I’m trying to say. Be patient and make an effort.

Not entirely sure this was a good use of anybody's time - the candidate, the script writer, the videographer, the extras, the web guy...ours.

Mall advertising is a type of out-of-home advertising in which ads are purchased for placement in a shopping mall or heavily visited retail location. Mall marketing is possible not only in huge retail malls but also in smaller shopping centers in town centers.

By receiving feedback, brands can enhance their effectiveness in a meaningful way. This feedback plays a crucial role in refining the brand, strengthening its presence, and reinforcing positive brand perception. It provides valuable insights for brand improvisation, supports brand building efforts, and contributes to the overall positive reinforcement of the brand.

transitadz Below the Line (BTL) Activations are marketingapproaches and methods that emphasise direct andfocused communication with certain people or anarrowly defined target demographic. The potential ofBTL operations to provide a higher level of consumerengagement and reaction is one of its mainadvantages.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a highly suspect expenditure of campaign dollars!  This candidate did win - so the blimp will be back.

This van is wrapped.  This van has a precinct map, a district map, and a host of other things that your typical wrapped campaign vehicle doesn't have.  So it is practical...

Here's an endorsement and campaign logo slapped on a car that goes over 200 mph.  Think anybody will actually see the logo?  Beyond the 30 folks on Youtube?
