A Gaston Point native, he uses his business to empower the community
GULFPORT, Ms. (WLOX) – Roy Magee owns Good Movers. It’s a moving company he started five years ago. “We’ve seen that the moving industry needs more workers, skilled workers,” Magee said. He decided to fill this need by serving national van lines across the country. The business owner opened a shop in the community where he grew up – Gaston Point. It’s an area of Gulfport notorious for crime. “I…

April Calendar Recap!
ere’s April’s Calendar for me :) In which I play a lot of DA:O and BOTW, a little bit of KH2, and do some writing (mostly.)
Apr 1-Driving around doing a lot of errands re:the broken truck. Yeah, so as it turns out, our truck’s starter got shoved back into the flywheel and was preventing it from shifting properly. Who lets a design flaw like that happen?!?
Walmart on a Saturday sucks. FYI.
I re-potted cacti. It was an adventure. But I have 11 cacti babies now!
Apr 2-I transcribed voice recordings. It’s sometimes easier jus to record myself plotting and then transcribe it later!
I played more Fallout Shelter.
I played DA:O, went into the Fade and saved Connor. Zev started flirting w/ me.
Apr 3-Organized books. We’d started packing them, but then turns out the movers have to move us. Which means they have to pack things themselves. So we separated the books we’d Rather They Didn’t from the other ones.
I talked about my Mage!Cousland AU idea with my gf and rar. OH MAN IT’S SO GOOD~~!! HMU if you wanna hear about it.
Did some side questing and main questing in Orzammar in DA:O.
After several days of silence, I finally got Rinnie talking again just in time for me to go to bed. Bitch.
Apr 4-Did a ton of side quests in Orzammar.
I also opened up a couple of Towers in BOTW. Stupid spirit things (Wizzrobes) that control weather! But I also figured out snowboarding!
Apr 5-Quested in Orzammar.
Talked about how fucking HUGE Berthingtonn is. It’s huge. :P
Then I built half a dozen encounters for my friend who’s DMing and wanted some input from a fellow DM.
Apr 6-Flew to Monroeville. Got my ass kicked by the winds.
Then I talked charrie development. Not sure who about or with who. But I did it lol.
Apr 7-Finished sorting the books.
Trekked my way to Goron City. Farosh is lightning, though?! WTH? Isn’t Farosh like... the forest dragon? Or the water dragon? Weird. I mean, it’s also weird that the Gerudos aren’t in Lanayru province. Or is that just me?
Also a cat tried to adopt us....
Unfortunately, we couldn’t let her adopt us. I think she was looking for a birthing nest since she’s pregnant. But we can’t get attached to kittens right now.
Apr 8-Did Rudania, Cross-dressed my way into Gerudo town.
Finally finished that beach/seashell scene.
Apr 9-Defeated the Broodmother in <10 minutes. Go Murder Team. (Me, Leli, Morrigan, Wynne.)
I turned the Novelization into a Video Game. I’d say hmu for deets, but Spoilers.
I wrote Lubbock turning the pirates away though!
Apr 10-Packed some stuff.
Put the cacti outside (again) only for them to get sunburned and have to come back in (again.) That’s it, they’re staying inside until after the move.
I did Anvil of the Void...again. Mostly. Ugh, stupid dying at Branka then going back w/ a different party and getting stuck at the damn Spirit Apparatus.
Apr 11-Flew to Wing.
Planned a flight to Gulfport (and learned that our couch is dying). Because after sitting on the couch to plan said flight, my back was killing me.
Got farther in the Rinnie scene I was working on.
Apr 12-Briefed my flight to Gulfport. Didn’t actually fly there. That wasn’t the point.
Got everything ready for the roadtrip x.x (Apparently, it was rough.)
Played some BOTW! (need...electricity...resistance...) Heh. Probably Noboris.
Planned more of the Novelization Video Game. Romance stuff. Certain character sacrifices. Personal Quests and Approval XD
Apr 13-Loaded up and drove to NC. Remembered that I actually like Prince Caspian (the book and the character.) Also started listening to a bit of Warbreaker.
Apr 14-Went to the Angry Ginger Pub and I had a Kinky Ginger drink. It was pink and fruity, my fave.
I also lost really, really badly at pool.
Apr 15-Went to a 50s-like diner and had custard (also a shrimp poboy.)
Went to the beach and found lots of shells!
Also finally finished the scene where Rinnie tells her mom about Taryn.
Apr 16-Went to a park, saw a snapping turtle.
Had BLTs for lunch and mustard thighs for dinner. Both of which were very good meals.
Re-worked the bar fight where Riela (now) gets knocked out and Mica wakes her up.
I researched more about brain damage, concussions, unconsciousness, comas, and brain surgery. It’s been an adventure!
Apr 17-Tried to find a place that sold sushi-grade fish... it didn’t happen :( Guess there won’t be sushi in NC. Unless it’s shrimp. I made sushi rice anyway and had it, cucumbers, and cream cheese for dinner.
I wrote Mica seeing Killian for the first time.
I also worked on Rinnie’s calendar of events.
Apr 18-Drove back home.
Finally murdered the Spirit Apparatus and Branka both. Geez that was a bitch. It came down to me vs Branka at the end there. I kept poisoning my weapons for extra damage. Go being a rogue. To this day, she remains the most powerful enemy slain for my Warden.
I then talked to a bunch of people and got Shale’s quest. I started a Romance with Al but ended up reloading because I still have nearly half the game left and it’s too early for that. If the coding wasn’t broken and treated that romance as More Important than any other relationship, I’d let it happen sooner. But give me more time with Leli, please. (I play with the Polygamey mod so there’s no jealousy dialogue trees.)
Apr 19-I played BOTW and pretty much just fell in love with Urbosa. I love her. She’s my fave.
Apr 20-Had a good cross-country flight.
I wrote some Rinnie scenes.
Apr 21-Cloudy @500ft. No flights. :(
I finished Shale’s quest and all other Orzammar quests :)
Apr 22-Went back to KH2, beat Roxas and triggered Final Form :D
I started Urn of Sacred Ashes. Doing things differently, as in, not immediately barging into the back room, but fallowing the fake lead to Lake Callenhad and ending up in some fights there before returning to Denerim like EXCUSE ME PERSON WTF?. I’m also a very chaotic neutral player. I also give very few fucks.
Talking to all my peeps is fun. Except Al, who wants to give me a rose, like RN. And Morrigan, who keeps wondering why I haven’t killed her mom yet.
I wrote a Riela and Janna scene.
Unfortunately, the TL is giving me issues around the time of the siege. :( I have too much shit happening in the span of one afternoon.
Apr 23-I did the Val Ruto Dungeon! Very fun. Kinda hack-n-slash boss though, compared to the others.
More timeline trouble. x.x
I wrote a good Riela and Janna with Nidtrins scene though!
Apr 24-I had a good flight all things considered. It’d been a while since I’d been in the pattern.
Also turns out there’s something wrong with the catalytic converter in my car. I’ll deal with that later.
I killed Father Kolgrim like a good worshiper of Andraste.
I edited the Riela scene to make the dialogue flow my naturally.
I made headway with the TL. It’s just not perfect yet.
ALSO I FINALLY WROTE THE COMMITMENT ISSUES CONVERSATION. GEEZE! I realized the necessity of that conversation a month ago and it took me this long to write it. GAH.
Apr 25-Nothing like moving to get you into spring cleaning.
To relax, I did half of the Gauntlet.
Apr 26-I finished the other half of the Gauntlet, found out that if you fail a steal check in Denerim, soldiers come after you and you have to kill them :/ Hopefully there aren’t any story repercussions. Because lemme tell you, those steal checks I failed? They happened way back when, when I came to Denerim for Marjolaine (which was like, after I did the first of the treaties.)
I found some memories in BOTW. The one in Zelda’s study was HARD!
I started writing the Mica/stimulant scene.
Apr 27-Romanced Alistair lol.
We gave our fish away :( but the lady was nice. Also a nerd.
I finished the first stimulant serum scene.
I worked more on the TL... I have too much stuff for one day’s worth of time, but not enough stuff for two day’s worth of time... which is also a problem.
Apr 28-Got stuff ready for the yard sale.
Found some memories, some stables, some shrines.
Apr 29-YARD SARD.
Apr 30-Beat Xiggy, Luxord, and Saix.
Finished Brecelian Forest. Probs spent more time walking back to camp with a full inventory than I did actually fighting in the ruins. Granted, I’d started Brecelian Forest earlier to get the Arcane Warrior specialty, then left and put off coming back. Whoops.
I got the 12th memory!
I wrote Rinnie finally submitting a schedule :P (it’s a running joke, okay?)
