Pspspspsps if anyone is in Athens next weekend, I'll be at an art market near Megaro Mousikis.

👁️👁️ in case you didn't make it at Comicdom, (or something you wanted had sold out, in which case omg please let me know, I'm re-printing some stuff)

I will not have the Alcibiades comic with me, but I will very likely have original one-of-a-kind sketches. And it will be a lot more chill than comicdom, so if you wanna chat or anything I'll be much less stressed and tired than I was last time.

Also it's in general a very good, relatively new artist space, very promising and with great artists and crafters and whatnot. Definitely something to support, even just with your presence :)

I'll mention it again within the week as a reminder :)

(ps if I manage to have the art done in time I might bring some brand new dionysus prints. We'll see 👁️👁️)

Katie's OC: Twenari is an adolescent girl (12 in the first book, 16 in the second two) with short locs and a preference for skirts over pants. She is a prodigy sorcerer and general gifted kid. Throughout her childhood, her smuggler mother used her as a source of magical security and intimidation, which eventually caused her to run away after being forced to commit one too many unsavory acts. Because of this, Twenari acts much older than she is. She's pragmatic, blunt, and strategic. However, in other ways, she's very behind the learning curve. She's painfully introverted and never learned to socialize beyond formal events. Magic is her darling and purpose. She's insatiably curious about everything, but mostly, she wants to understand all the world has to offer in the field of the arcane. She's also at a kill count of about six. That's what happens when you're constantly chased by mercenaries and have the ability to explode people with your brain.

My OC: Emil is a young boy (12 in the first story, just turned 18 in the second story I'm working on) with thick red curls that not even his mother knows how to handle. He is the only prince of the Kingdom Mousiki. He is mute from birth since his voice has been stolen by the goddess that was supposed to protect his family and his kingdom. But since being mute is such a rare, almost non-existing accurance in Mousiki or neighboring kingdoms, there are no other ways for him to communicate other then the little notepad he carries around everywhere. His parents and the people around him tend to be overbearing, that leads to him feeling suffocated, which he does not shy away from showing. He only has one friend, but he is always happy making new acquaintances and always tries his best to make everyone around him comfortable.

How they'd interact: Emil is very gentle, that's why I chose him. He would respect Twenaris boundaries, but would still try to get to know her. He is very fascinated with anything magical and would ask to see it, after getting to know her better of course. The first meeting would be very awkward, for Emil would need time to figure out how to approach without overstepping. He would try to introduce her to his world and the small knowledge he has gathered, wanting to share insights. He would be quite scared about her abilites at the beginning, but he always likes to understand before judging. He would keep her away from his only friend, knowing he would overwhelm her with uncomfortable questions, that's why the first meeting would take place in the comfort of Emils little room, where he could show proudly show her his collection of copper coins. Emil would probably look up to her a lot, being fascinated by her maturity.

My OC: Luna's a young woman (aged 23) who just so happens to be a mind mage and former cult leader. She's fairly pretty, petite with red locks and green eyes, but her magic, which she uses on everything, obscures all that. Anyone who can get a glimpse past her powers would find her to be your high-school mean girl who never grew up - book-dumb, lazy and cruel with a charming veneer. Even that's just a result of her upbringing, however. Being hunted by the magical police meant she never had a chance to experience a normal adolescence, and her abrasive nature is the result of a distrust of everyone and insecurity. Having an army of thralls to do her bidding since she was 12 did no favours for her life skills, so she can't cook, drive, or even use basic technology.

How they'd interact: I think Luna would see a lot of her younger self in Emil, not that she'd ever admit it. The mutism wouldn't be a problem for her, given that she's an excellent telepath, but I do think she would have no idea how to respond to his kindness (she's not good with people being nice in general). The result? She'd probably start off being extremely charming, then switching to being outright nasty to him, while quietly trying to avoid scaring him off by being overbearing. If Emil kept up the pleasantness, she'd eventually melt enough to be nice in return, in a sort of older-sister way. I do think she'd try to give him (likely terrible) advice on leading countries, given that she was supreme ruler over a small city for a decade. She'd also try to bully the people upsetting him into backing off, either out of a need to return his kindness or just because she could.

The insurmountable urge to write a Kaiju no.8 fanfic with a random ass idea I came up with

(FT. a bunch of home-made lore... imma say this is an au so ya'll don't yell at me.)

So the UN takes note of Japan's issues with the Humanoid Kaiju (8, 9, 10) and Greece offers one of their divisions (known as the Amazon Divison) to assist.

Japan takes the offer and the Amazon Unit comes to Japan to assist.

There are 2 captains and 14 officers

Captain Ioaniss Gabris (Codename: Angel)

Vice Captain Iris Gabris (Codename: Iris)

^ The Captain and Vice Captain are siblings. They bicker quite often during recreational time, but the second a Kaiju shows up they're in battle mode.

Officer Asterios Ariti (Codename: Zeus)

^ Despite what his codename suggests, he's actually a pretty nice guy, albeit very serious in battle, and a bit girl crazy. He wields a spear made from the Kaiju codenamed Cronos.

Officer Marinos Ariti (Codename: Poseidon)

^ He's the oldest of the Ariti siblings. He specializes in handling seaborne Kaiju. He wields a trident made from the Kaiju codenamed Typhon.

Officer Orfeas Ariti (Codename: Pluto)

^ He codenamed himself the Roman Version of Hades because he wanted to be different. Unlike the actual mythology (Where Zeus is the youngest), Orfeas is the youngest. He wields a bident made from the Kaiju codenamed Cronos.

Officer Eirini Athanasiou (Codename: Hera)

^ Unlike the actual mythology, no. She is not married to Zeus. She actually hates the dude. Since Hera has no confirmed weapon in mythology, I settled for her using a rifle with rounds that secrete a scent that spooks the Kaiju. She's more of a back fighter.

Officer Kore Chloros (Codename: Demeter)

^ A very formidable fighter in battle, but outside of it you can bet this woman is giving everyone flowers. She loves plants. She wields a staff made from the Kaiju codenamed Cronos.

Officer Charis Chronis (Codename: Hestia)

^ Mostly a Combat Medic. The eldest out of all of these officers. Very motherly. Would probably scold Kafka for staying up late studying. Also dabbles into research regarding eating Kaiju. Wields a regulation rifle with Flamethrower rounds.

Officer Ermis Hannas (Codename: Hermes)

^ The youngest of these officers (aged 19). He wields a staff made from the Kaiju codenamed Mousiki (ΜΟΥΣΙΚΗ). His suit is much different than the others in his unit. His suit is built with extra speed in mind, thanks to the law implemented in May of 20__, the year he joined, which saw the Greek Defense Force being forced to make all new Officers and etc. able to escape alive.

Officer Sofia Manos (Codename: Athena)

^ The best of the best when it comes to battle strategy. Did 6 years in the Hellenic Armed Forces before being reccomended for the Greek Kaiju Defense Force. She is one who is mainly focused on removing civillians who were unable to evacuate. In a pinch, she has a shield she can use to deflect attacks. She does not currently have a Kaiju Weapon, but has expressed a want for one. She is equipped with a standard regulation rifle.

Officer Alkemini (Codename: Ares)

^ What can I say? She's earned the codename. She's the most ruthless fighter on the Greek force. Also a single queen. This is just in my au, but Soshiro was the only one able to tame this wild beast (If you get what I mean–). She carries a machine gun.

Officer Foteini Agnes (Codename: Artemis)

^ An Aro/Ace queen. The elder of the Agnes twins. Wields a bow made of the Kaiju codenamed Python. So does Officer Apollo.

Officer Heliodoros "Helios" Agnes (Codename: Apollo)

^ A gay king. Probably has dressed in drag at least once. The younger of the Agnes twins. He is the ex boyfriend of two officers from one of the other Greek Units (Hyacinthus and Daphne). Much like his sister, he wields a bow made from the Kaiju codenamed Python. In a pinch, he can switch to a close range rifle equipped with either sonic or stun rounds.

Officer Argyris Martis (Codename: Dionysus)

^ A heavy drinker outside of batttle. Nearly always has alchol on him. Recently, Hestia and Aphrodite have forced him to start drinking less of it. He gets the shakes easily. Some believe the reason he was so good in battle was because of the drinking. Currently in the process of being prescribed anxiety medication. Wields a standard regulation rifle with poison rounds.

Officer (Dr.) Eftychia Eliades (Codename: Aphrodite)

^ This officer has a doctorate in experimenting with Kaiju. She uses pheromones from Kaiju to confuse enemy Kaiju and open them up for the others to attack. She does these all with her own lab made Pheremone Rounds (Patent Pending). Her two titles as Officer and Doctor are used interchangeably.

Officer Miltiadis Eliades (Codename: Hepheastus)

^ This guy is a total bottom. Unlike in the mythology, him and Eftychia are happy to be married. He took her last name. He made his own warhammer from the Kaiju codenamed Mimas.
