Sorrow cape! Love that. I know them as mourning cloaks, so same vibe. I have to assume they resemble somehow mourning cloaks that people used to wear.

Mourning Cloak

One of the earliest butterflies to be seen in the Spring, the Mourning Cloak hibernates in the fall and emerges in April. Now it feeds to store energy for its long winter sleep...sweet dreams.

Stepping Stones

My part of an art trade! I've been itching to make some scenes set in space, and my trade partner wanted the Mourning Cloak. it was deff a interesting challenge to like, fit it in the scenes I had in mind, I'm relatively content with the result

Please stop teleporting your Mourning Cloak frames into the KCC Medical Centre. They go to the Mech Stables regardless of damage to their biotic components, and are certainly not capable of experiencing any form of "tummy ache"

Wow! What a gross dead leaf that I don't want to eat! Definitely not a beautiful mourning cloak butterfly that would probably be delicious. Did you know? Mourning cloak butterflies can make loud clicking noises to startle predators! Not that that has anything to do with this leaf

Today I went to the woods and encountered a stunning Mourning Cloak. It’s the state butterfly of Montana (I’m all the way over in Wisconsin). My mom was born & raised in Montana and died last fall.

Im not very spiritual, but even before I identified it I felt like it was a sign of some kind 😌

Our party badass and resident boomer, Sarah, who despite being "the responsible one" accidentally signed on with a literal supervillain to pilot this mech. I think we have to fight said supervillain next session. :despair:
