Considering they are PATIENT and JADED, I wonder how they will fare. Either way, good to know that they will help with DRIVING/NAVIGATION as HEAD OF OPERATIONS.

What’s up! I’m Patrick and here is Rod, the RV dad with way too much anxiety. Rowlet and I are currently running around like headless chickens so I hope you’ll apologize for our hot-messing. But let’s get to it -- here’s my man Rodrigo! Feel free to like this and I will message you at some point (once all the action settles, heh / yes, I still need to make a connections page).

First off, call him Rod or Dad. Or, really, whatever you want. Mr. Osuna feels too distant for this tight-knit community, and Rodrigo is far too formal. But whatever you choose, Rod’s not going to protest.

Your tired RV dad who calls everyone his kid because he never had any of his own (it’s his dream to be a dad, but now he’s your surrogate dad). You’ll either see Rod behind the wheel or next to the Keurig drawling on the taste of instant black coffee, trying to catch his breath – otherwise, you can assume he’s fused to Green (more on that later). While he doesn’t smile much because life, he’ll definitely return a warm one to anyone who smiles at him. Everyone in the RV is his family, and he’s going to check in with you when he’s not busy.

Rod’s powers are Power Enhancement and Fusion. You can learn more about it here. This is to say – if your character struggles with controlling their powers or needs help training, Rod is always down to help and offer his help.

(TRAUMA, VIOLENCE MENTION TW) For most of his life, having seen a lot of war and violence, Rod feels like an object. Being passed around from place to place, he finally ended up at the mutant sanctuary knowing it would be too good to be true. He was one of the oldest members of the community and, jaded as he was, always accepted people into the sanctuary with open arms and assurance that things would be okay. Even if he never believed it himself. So when the sanctuary was destroyed – suffice to say, Rod was distraught. Everything he knew in his life, perfectly wrapped up and seemingly protected, was gone.

Rod has had a lot of conflicting opinions on his own power, mostly because it’s changed so much over the years. Way back when, before there was ever a sanctuary, his powers were necessary for survival – those were the days were fusion made life or death by letting his comrades go berserk with their powers. But it always made Rod just a transient object whose designated purpose was to enhance others. Countless friendships and relationships were destroyed not only by the war, but his comrades’ thirst for power. Some fusions lasted only a week while others went on for months on end, but they all had one thing in common: they left him with intense separation anxiety.

After the sanctuary was established, Rod began using fusion as a way of medicating himself from separation anxiety. It’s not ideal and he knows that he shouldn’t recuperate himself through fusion, but it’s immediate and doesn’t leave him squandering around in his anxiety. The only other person who really understands why he needs fusion so much is Green, who was once his mortal enemy, and so if Rod isn’t around the RV then he’s usually fused to Green.

Rod is the RV’s Head of Operations, which means he oversees everyone and tries to make sure that they don’t die. 10% because of the government and whoever is on their ass… and 90% because Green can’t drive or run a community to save his life.

Hey there! It’s me! Karo[line]! Here’s a bit more of a detail on Caden: the empath of the RV.

CADEN SANTOS (Male, he/him, a 27 year-old mutant with EMPATHIC ABILITIES and looks like DARREN CRISS, has joined the Mutant RV en route to California. Considering they are FRIENDLY and EASILY DISTRACTED, I wonder how they will fare. Either way, good to know that they will help with KITCHENETTE DUTY. 

Short bit of a backstory: [more on his nav page] 

Caden found out he was a mutant at 16 after a disaster house party that made his parents pull him out of high school. 

Hid it from his rather anti-mutant parents for another year before he saved up enough money to run to the sanctuary, where he stayed for ten years. 

Caden was one of the mutants who went on that first road trip, and came back to an empty and destroyed sanctuary. Which he was more than a little sad about.

Personality wise:

He’s very optimistic and doesn’t like stewing in negative emotions for too long.

Has a ridiculously high tolerance for a lot of bullshit (specifically Green’s)

For him, being kind is just everything. There is no amount of slights against him that he wouldn’t forgive you for, because all he wants to do is figure out what it is that would make you mad enough to do that, and then fix it.

It’s a problem. He knows. He’s working on it. It probably won’t go anywhere.

Always ready to give hugs to people who need it.

He was kind of the go to guy in high school for anything that had to do with needing comfort or needing some sort of emotional support, and he’s continued to be that type of friend.

Very good at keeping secrets because of the above.

He’s selfless to a fault, and will more than likely let someone step over him if it makes the other person happy, because he’s so used to being the support system.

It’s fine. He doesn’t mind it much. Generally, he finds if he’s the support for someone else, good people have a tendency to remember that and bring him along for the ride.

So he just runs with that mindset. Do as you will with that info.

Concerning his powers:

Caden is an empath, and one with very little control over his abilities at that. I generally split it into two parts.

The first is his perception of emotion. He can feel every sensation and emotion of people within a certain radius (normally about five feet).

If he focuses hard enough the radius can expand or shrink, but it’s all a bit touchy and he never really knows if it’ll actually work or not.

He generally tries to stay away from large crowds (yikes with the whole RV situation. He’s getting used to the whole close quarters deal)

His secondary mutation is that he can leave emotional impressions on others around him, which is why he tries to keep up an optimistic attitude at all times.

Caden can make others feel what he himself is feeling in a radius of about 3 feet, but the emotion/sensation has to be ridiculously strong.

As such, he’s only ever able to imprint strong anger or strong sadness.

He could imprint giddiness, but he’s never actually done it before.

Loophole: he could also focus on his own emotion and purposefully shove himself down the emotional rabbit hole to start projecting it, but since he doesn’t actually like the whole idea of forcing someone to feel hurt, it’s highly unlikely he’d try.

Both mutations are passive, and he can’t actually turn either of them off. He mostly relies on keeping himself calm and separating the perceived emotions from his own.

ENRICO “GREEN” DOMAGAS (Demiboy, él/he), a 27 year-old mutant with BODY SWAPPING/POSSESSION and looks like TYLER POSEY, has joined the Mutant RV en route to California. Considering they are ADVENTUROUS and UNPREDICTABLE, I wonder how they will fare. Either way, good to know that they will help with DRIVING/NAVIGATION as CAPTAIN.

( real talk, y’all, please forgive me for being a hot mess sippin’ chocolate milk in a lawn chair, it’s been a long day but I AM HERE AND I AM GREEN. i’m basically echoing all of pat right now but green’s whole thing needs a theme redo and i’m missing a connections page but go ahead and slap that like button with a fish if you want me to show up in your DMs with grapes. anyways -- here’s is GREEN! )

Nobody knows his real name except for his bird friends, so feel free to call him by the one name everyone knows him by: Green. (If you so care on how the name was created, stick around til the end, kehehe) 

Green identifies as a queer demiboy! His pronouns are él and he, the former of which he sometimes uses when he body swaps in order to distinguish himself. (an example: You can refer to él (him) by GREEN, su (his) name, because él (he) likes green.

He CHUBBY AND PROUD. Round cheeks, soft chest, tummy, thighs. Not a hint of washboard abs, y’all.

Catch him snacking on the following: goldfish, chicken bakes, fruit-rollups, gushers, chips, cookies, sandwiches, Mexican food, bread. This asshole is the one eating all of the snacks you left out -- beware.

Green is a LIL SHIT who likes instigating drama and contradicting himself. There is a methodology to all of this but it’s not worth your time trying to follow his logic. YES, he is the dumbass who eats his poisonous succulents. He is also the dumbass that gets the RV in 99% of all the troubles it does. (Honestly, think Luffy from One Piece, lol). Why are we not surprised that he is an Aquarian. 

RE: His powers

Any contact with his DNA, including physical touch, bodily fluids such as saliva, etc. puts, as he might describe, little dots in his mind that he can rearrange and swap bodies around. GREEN can swap himself with other people, or other people with each other, so long as he has made the necessary contact with the person. Body swapping is cosmetic and isn’t really something you can fight with, just disorient people.

Speaking of which... Green acts like he can fight but this asshole can’t throw a punch to save his life. He’s gonna try and charm you to see if he can get away with it and if that doesn’t work he’s gonna run for the hills and trip on his shoelace the first step he takes.

Body swapping does not work on non-human or animals, so some mutants depending on how much they’ve shifted away from their “humanness” might become immune to his powers.

When he’s bored, GREEN enjoys licking his hand and slapping his saliva around the RV, hoping that some poor unfortunate person might make contact with it to mess with them. Unsurprisingly, many have tried to discipline him about this. He doesn’t care.

Wears off when undone or if Green is too far (like a state over), except if he is the one swapped. Will get to that in a bit...

Can also possess people, but claims it’s less fun and doesn’t really care to do it.

RE: His story

back in high school, he was known as “Enrico.” Enrico had a boyfriend named Greyson. the two were lil shits, fucking skater boys that listened to green day like god-dammit. not knowing what they were gonna do with their life or what would become of it. one day, after kissing Greyson, the two swapped bodies and that was when Enrico realized he had the power to body swap.

post-graduation, Enrico, Greyson, and the rest of their friend group decided to play the most epic prank they could think of: they would infect their small town’s water system with Enrico’s spit and fuck the whole town over. it seemed like a good idea. seemed. past tense.

while at first it was fine, after ten seconds it was clear that everything was snowballing out of control. there were what felt like millions of dots in his head and the slightest thought upset everything. the small town fell into chaos, all the while enrico was losing control, screaming out in agony and entering an irrational state of logic due to the mental overstimulation. 

enrico stole one of his friend’s RVs, and with greyson drove away as far as they could. but the mental agony didn’t subside. greyson was the problem. Enrico kissed Greyson - perhaps the most passionate kiss in their damn run of a relationship - and pushed him out of the RV, driving away and never looking back.

things started to clear in his head. by the time he made it to the next state over, his head was clear. there were no more dots, nothing weighing in on his mind. but then it dawned on him… he’d stolen Greyson’s body. Enrico was consumed with guilt, but there was no way he could turn back.

word reached him there was Xavier’s School, and enrico saw it as the perfect place to take refuge. Upon making it there, he decided to make a new life for himself and start over. Starting with his name, he mashed up his own name with Greyson’s to make GREEN.

Is often fused with Rod because he misses Greyson and fusion is a way to feel whole. Yes, he has a soul.

ABOUT:

Bianca is the middle of three children born to loving parents. Being the middle child meant that when she was younger she was often left to her own devices as long as she was academically successful, which is perfectly fine for Bianca. Of course she dreaded coming home with any grade lower than a B, but that was as much the pressure that she put on herself as her family did. She wasn’t the socialite that her older sister was or the successful athlete that her younger brother was. The only thing she had to impress her parents with were her inventions and her academic success.

Despite her differences with her siblings there is nothing that Bianca wouldn’t do for them. They don’t get upset with her when she goes off on a tangent that they can’t understand and they’re patient with her while she pauses to translate it for them. It’s not that Bianca dislikes people, she just doesn’t want to have to deal with constantly dumbing herself down and changing the way that she speaks in order to keep a conversation flowing. She would much rather be using that time to study or tinker. If you can keep up a conversation with her she’ll gladly talk your ear off until you send her away.

Tinkering around, giving life to the inventions in her head and learning how things work became an escape for Bianca. She didn’t have to worry about the stresses of school or if anyone understood what she was saying or not. It’s peaceful, to just get down to business with herself, to be left alone with metal, wires and circuitry. With a keyboard, a monitor, and lines of code.  And her parents were always proud of her whenever she brought a new invention to them, even if that was the 6th remote control that they’d bought that month.

BONUS:

 Inventive: As soon as Bianca learns that there is a problem she is already working on a way to fix it. She longs for connection and wants to help people in whatever way she can, because she has such a big heart. Solving problems makes her useful and valuable to people, which makes her wanted and needed.

Loyal: It’s rare for Bianca to truly hate anyone, even if she dislikes someone or has trouble talking to them, as long as they’re on the same side she will do whatever she can for them. 

Needy: Bianca has a fear of being alone or left behind. She fears that one day she is going to wake up and find that she has become obsolete. She needs a lot of validation, although you’ll never hear her admit that out loud

Stubborn: Bianca won’t stop until she has reached her goal and achieved what she has set out to do. She’ll go so far as to neglect self-care for days at a time and it takes physical force to get her to stop.

okay, hi!! this is charlie, my cute little electrokinetic ball of fun. i haven’t finished her bio yet, but i’ll leave some more informal info under the cut. i’d love to plot out some connections!

alright, so. charlie comes from a super wealthy family. they’re old money + live in a super affluent part of new york. her parents were super neglectful, and were definitely not cut out for raising four children. they constantly travelled around the country, leaving charlie and her siblings to be raised by nannies/fend for themselves. 

charlie discovered her powers when she was about 10 years old, and accidentally caused a blackout for her entire apartment complex. even back then, she was a pretty independent and resourceful kid, so she kind of just kept it to herself and tried to quietly practice/hone in on her skills.

when she discovered the institute, she figured it would be a best change to live with a community of people that were more like her, where she could thrive rather than just survive. even as a pretty clear-headed and fairly realistic individual, charlie was totally thrown and shattered by the attack. it’s really jarring for her to not have a good headspace + it’s taking a lot to try and find her footing again. but she’s really throwing herself into making sure others are okay, and pretending she’s totally cool and adapable to all of this. *cough* (x) *cough* 

anyway, charlie is a pretty chill person. think of her as equal parts spencer hastings, veronica mars, and sloan sabbith. her heart is definitely in the right place, and she’s definitely going to get super attached to this found family in an rv.

OH and as far as her power goes, charlie has electrokinesis. this means she can create/manipulate electricity (think kate from the twilight saga? or kristen bell’s character from heroes?). she gets a little nervous around water for obvious reasons, and will probably give you a little static shock if she touches you (she doesn’t mean to! it’s just an annoying side-effect). 

tldr — she’s a sarcastic, sweet, electrokinetic kid w/ a good heart, basically. anyway feel free to like this post & i’ll message you about connections? i’d love to have some for charlie

Hello World!

My name is H2 (she/her); I’m 19, 20% stressed 100% of the time, and hella mixed. Mutants On the Road is my first RP, so be kind~

LUCILLE HARTWIN ( Cisfemale, She/her), a 24 year-old mutant with CHAMELEON POWERS and looks like VIRGINIA GARDNER has joined the Mutant RV en route to California. A Short Synopsis~

Lucy is many things. She’s a college graduate, a sorority alumna, and your typical privileged white girl. Well. She Was, anyways.

After eating one too many blueberries on a business trip and pulling a Violet Beauregarde, Lucy is on the run from both family and friends. She had successfully hidden her chameleon-esque powers since first discovering them, but with the cat out of the bag she no longer has a safe place to call home. Her powers are, in a single word, weird. By consuming something, she can successfully mimic both the color and texture throughout her body. Which, of course, sounds pretty fun in theory. In reality, Lucy ends up licking walls to hide from anyone and everyone who may be after her. As a self-proclaimed germaphobe, her new best friend is her toothbrush. Take from that what you will.
