I wake up to search for feelings of hurt that are still in me. I still feel pain but I also feel muscle pain around my abs now and a little around my thighs from exercising. It feels nice in a way to feel pain from things that aren't emotional but are purely from physical exercise.

My feelings about Duncan still exist but so does the rest of my life. I think more than being specifically sad about him, I'm just generally sad about being alone in my pain. Maybe that's another r eason why I keep going back to the sadness of unrequited feelings? Because so many people have suffered through it. And how can you expect for it to become requited when you can't predict things like relationships or people.

I want to finish up some things today about shadowing and on finding research labs to join. I also gotta go grocery shopping before meeting Julia. If I somehow still have time (which I don't think I will but) then I wanna make cookies. Or something with chocolate chips? Today is a busier day especially since we want to finish motorater up before noon. I'm excited to do things. Romantic feelings? Highly entertaining but I also find thinking and dreaming about being a. MD PhD student somewhere new and far away from wherr I am now to be equally exciting. A life where I can sink into research and learning, but also. These days, thinking and working in a clinic are fun and I find that I like learning about people. I used to be so afraid of people.... But I find that I like talking to people one on one and hearing what their lives are like. Maybe it took heartbreak after heartbreak to realize this but maybe I can redirect my curiosity about people to medicine rather than just to myself. I also feel so fulfilled when I can listen to people's problems and be there for them and support them thriugh their uncertainties. I want to be someone who can encourage people to trust that they know themselves best and help guide them. I really like that. I think I want to become a doctor and the idea isn't so scary or empty anymore.
