“.... C-Caster class servant, Marie Curie. I hope I can be of some use to you, master.” Maybe this was a second chance to help him? That’s how she would see it.

She sat there and listened to him, her glazed and troubled eyes cast down in despair, understanding that everything he was saying was absolutely true while her tears coursed down her cold cheeks to fall onto her thighs. Her darling heroes, all of them… They had left her and abandoned her, just as her family had done, just as her… husband… had done… Master really was the only person she could trust… At least he was still here with her… 

Teach them a lesson… Master wanted her to punish them… for abandoning her… Brynhildr had not thought to do so… but… if that was what Master wanted… She would do so… She would… punish them all… She would kill them all… 

“Yes, Master…,” she sniffed and wiped her eyes with her wrist, sniffling as she pushed the handle of Romantia into the ground to help herself up, standing slowly. 

“I will… destroy everything… for you…,” she said, before kicking off of the ground to disappear, moving too quickly for the human eye to see. She sought destruction and chaos, and these other heroes… would fall for making her cry. Only Master cared about her. Only Master’s wishes mattered now.

❀ “Just tie it back on in a tight bow–Can you do that?” Keeping her eyes forward, Lily gave the instruction to Shinji as she sat still. The feeling of her hair on her back was an unusual one, and she wished to have her hair back up in a ponytail as soon as possible. The longer it stayed down, the more tangled it would inevitably become. While Shinji had offered to help tie the ribbon back on, she didn’t wish to ask him to brush her hair as well should they wait any longer.

She could feel him gather her hair, tugging lightly at it and pulling it up into a ponytail. Her hands shifting around in her lap as she waited, she was aware of the ribbon being wrapped around her hair, and multiple attempts at tying a bow. It seemed to be taking a while, as though he kept re-doing it.

It seemed to her as though he wasn’t used to such a task–Not that she could blame him. She certainly wouldn’t expect him to be an expert at tying bows. But as long as it stayed put, she didn’t mind.

Hearing him state that he was done, the Saber stood up and turned around, a smile on her face.

“Thank you! It truly is easier to have my hair up like this–And it is nice for me not to mess with it without being able to see what I am doing.” She was never sure of her own handiwork in tying bows–The more others could help her with it, the better she would feel.
