I’m still processing this weekends #scenestudy lab with #joanscheckel and our new family of talented filmmakers. Over the last few years, I’ve never/barely touched #acting. Ive has a deep seated fear of it. In grad school, I acted in a classmates directing exercise, and I heard from my friends/classmates that the professor said I was the flattest actor she/he’d ever seen. This weekend, Joan brought me into the scene we workshopped on #springst #dtla where I played the #mother in a scene of #motherabandonment. Yes, as my fellow #labmate, Cody described - it was “serendipitous.” It was certainly all surreal. #sophiethefilm was shot 5 years ago. It was fascinating to play the mother. And it is still my dream to go back to #Hongkong and continue shooting the film, over many years.
