PALACE RELEASES OFFICIAL ROYAL WEDDING PHOTOS
Shortly after their new titles were announced, the official wedding portraits of Crown Princess Anya and (newly-minted) Prince Gus were publicly released by the Palace!
Tumblr media
Posing in front of the throne, the bride and groom looked like a fairytale couple come to life! CP Anya stunned in her full wedding ensemble, while Prince Gus flashed his swoon-worthy smile, dimples and all.
Another photo shows Their Royal Highnesses posing with their bridesmaids and page boys.
Tumblr media
But the most special and meaningful photo of the set is the one that shows Gus and Anya surrounded by their entire family (except, of course a certain Countess who, by the looks of it, was not invited... but that's another story for another day, perhaps?). Prince Gus was joined by his sisters, Gül and Dilara, his brother-in-law, Hercule, his mother, Lucia, and his paternal uncle, Hassan, as well as his little niece, Sibel.
Anya was joined by her parents, The Queen and Prince Jacques, and her siblings, Princes Alistair and Nicky, and Princess Ingrid,
Of course, there was a private evening reception hosted by HM, but so far, we haven't seen any photos - official or otherwise - and we're hoping the royals will share glimpses of the swanky event, too!
Did Anya change into a new gown? Who were the guests? What did the cake look like? We. Need. Details! Princess Ingrid, if you're reading this, we know you love taking photos... mind sharing some of your snaps with us? Please?

TDIOBCB challenge - day 22:
Aegon and Daenaera's wedding in 136 AC
"The highly anticipated union between Prince Aegon Targaryen and Lady Daenaera Velaryon was a grand spectacle, unparalleled and captivating the hearts of all fortunate enough to bear witness. The Dragonpit, the sole edifice in the entire capital city capable of accommodating the nearly seventy thousand guests, overflowed with exuberance and anticipation as the two young lovers made their entrance. (…) The clamour was momentarily silenced by the resounding roar of a dragon, signifying the arrival of the bridegroom. The world seemed to hold its breath as Crown Prince Aegon Targaryen, adorned in a simple yet regal ensemble of dark blue velvet and golden filigree, strode into the Dragonpit.(…) Innumerable songs and artworks would emerge in the years that followed, all striving to immortalize that precise instant when every soul, from the foremost to the rearmost, pivoted to behold the entrance of the youthful and graceful bride. Nevertheless, words alone proved feeble in capturing the awe-inspiring spectacle that unfolded within those grand walls on that spring morning. The bride, the only child of the late Lady Laena, with her flawless visage adorned with clear, brilliant blue eyes and a cascade of the purest silver hair, appeared as if plucked from the pages of a tome, her very presence an embodiment of beauty.  (…) But it was the magnificent gown she wore, concealed mostly beneath her house's sigil-adorned cloak, that attracted all the bulk of the attention, stirring deep envy and boundless admiration among many a lady and noblewoman. It was clear to all, even the most unrefined, that the gown was an exemplar of craftsmanship and quality; a far cry from the pedestrian attire donned by noblewomen in the countryside, woven from fabrics procured from merchants of dubious repute, in their delusion of appearing as capital ladies. This exquisite creation was hewn from genuine and precious white silk sourced from the distant isle of Leng, wich under the sun's gaze, gleamed with blue and silver hues, akin to summer sea waves. The fabric, inherently precious, was adorned throughout with intricate undulating silver embroideries, reminiscent of the tranquil ebb and flow of ocean tides, a testament to the artistry of Myrish weavers; even the jewellery was of an exceptional nature, forged from the most precious shells, the whitest mother-of-pearl, and the most delicate corals, all procured from the shores of Driftmark, specially presented by her cousin, the Lord, for this momentous occasion. (…) The prince and his princess looked ethereal, as if they were celestial beings brought down to grace the mortal realm. The splendor of the late morning light, filtered through the large oval opening in the center of the colossal stone dome above them, bathed them in a radiant glow, making them shine like stars in the night sky. The mere sight of the kiss they exchanged sent the whole arena into raptures."

A New King
Ruhn x reader
Notes: Happy last day of @ruhnweek ! For Ruhn’s fall from grace I thought what would cause him to be disowned. Could he finally have partied too hard? Spent too much of daddy’s money? But none of that would piss the Autumn King off or make him pay attention to Ruhn. What would really piss the Autumn King off is if Ruhn started getting into politics, shadowing his father, attending important meetings.
Getting into a large disagreement about how to rule the Valbaran and Avallen Fae, the Autumn King casts his son out. Angry and on his own, Ruhn leaves Lunathion with his most loyal subjects following him. Establishing his new rule in the north, just outside of Nena, the rogue prince starts his campaign for his father’s throne. Ruhn is looking for alliances, even if it means getting married. The prince will go to any lengths to take down his father.
Warnings: none
Tumblr media
Watching the snow covered country side blur past the car window you fidget with the fur gloves in your hands. Your winter ensemble was fit for a princess, which made sense, as you were going to be one in a week.
The maid had dressed you in a snow blue dress, heeled boots of the same color. Diamonds dangled from your ears with the matching pendant around your neck. The set was a gift from Ruhn, along with the promise of a ring to match.
You had been counting down the minutes until you would arrive at King Ruhn’s stronghold. Once a headquarters for the Asteri they abandoned, Ruhn thought it the perfect place to take up residence. It was out of reach from his father and any unwanted visitors would surely die of frostbite or hypothermia if they didn’t travel in from the main road, which was heavily guarded.
You were getting closer now. The increase of military vehicles on the side of the road gave away your proximity. When Ruhn left Lunathion he took a good chunk of the Aux and the 33rd with him. Once the news broke of the war between the king and his son more defected to his side, including some of the Asteri’s army.
Whether the Asteri sent the soldiers or not remained a mystery to the public. Questions ran through your mind when your parents told you they were allying with Ruhn. Would the Asteri let this happen? Would the fae and the city change for the better? You had even more questions when they told you you’d be his bride.
You had no issue about marrying Ruhn, besides the fact that your parents just gave you up without warning. Ruhn wasn’t cruel or crazy. You had never really thought he was serious about ruling in all honesty.
Your family was the wealthiest and oldest fae families after Ruhn’s. They had power and influence, everything the new king was looking for. Clearly your parents liked his idea of ruling better than the Autumn King’s. Otherwise you’d still be at home in the city, not hiding away in the country side.
The car pulled to a stop a little ways away from the entrance, parking near a row of military vehicles. Your nerves had your stomach in knots. Taking a deep breath you slip your gloves back on in anticipation of the few minutes you’d be outdoors.
“Ready?” Your mother asks enthusiastically. Shooting her a nasty scowl you open the door, sliding out of the black SUV.
Looking around you spot angels and fae dressed in thick winter wear, checking crates and cars, standing guard armed with guns and knives strapped to their thighs.
The old metal doors creaked open, catching your attention. A familiar looking red headed female makes her way over to you, her smile dazzling and welcoming. “Hello, I’m Bryce Quinlan, the king’s second hand.” She said in greeting, clearly very pleased with what her brother is doing. “You must be y/n. I’m here to take you to Ruhn.” You slightly bow to her, “It’s wonderful to meet you Bryce. Thank you for greeting us.”
“Come, I don’t want to keep him. The King has a packed schedule unfortunately today so you might not see him again until dinner.” Bryce turns to lead you and your parents into the stronghold.
Walking through the halls you expected the place to be more run down. It was quite the opposite, everything was polished and pristine. Everything was updated to be more modern looking from the flooring to the first lights.
Before you knew it you were all entering the “throne room”. Bryce had used air quotes when describing it because it wasn’t exactly that. More of a meeting room with a slightly larger chair for Ruhn. He was intent on an ostentatious display of power. You figured it was to not be anything like his father, which you respected him for.
Bryce cleared her throat, breaking up the conversation between Ruhn and three males you didn’t know. The one with angel wings gave the princess a loving look, only snapping on a cold look when he realized the company she was with.
The three males stood to the side, leaving the dark mysterious prince and you to just stare at each other. You couldn’t help but be captivated by his beauty. You’d only ever seen pictures of him on your phone and thought he was hot. Up close was something else. Ruhn’s blue eyes sparkled as they roved your body as your own took in each of his exposed tattoos and muscles outlined by his tight shirt.
Remembering your position you cleared your throat dipping into a small curtesy. “It’s an honor to meet you, your grace.” You didn’t know if he preferred prince or king. Ruhn, a slight smirk pulling at his full lips, bowed his head. “It’s an honor to meet you, y/n. I also want to thank you for agreeing to this, and for your support.”
“Of course,” you respond quietly. You could feel your parents staring intensely at the back of your head making your nerves return. It seemed Ruhn could sense your discomfort. Standing taller, commanding the attention of the Ruhn, all eyes went to him. “Could I have a moment alone with my bride-to-be,” he phrased it as more of a command than a question.
The three nameless males nodded along with Bryce, leaving with your parents in tow. Your mother seemed reluctant to leave you alone with Ruhn. Not for safety concerns, more because she was nosy and wanted to control the situation.
Once the doors shut and you were alone together you felt more relaxed. A shyness you had never felt before in your life took over, making your cheeks heat. Ruhn approached you, pulling out a chair for you from the long meeting table. “Thank you,” you whispered, taking a seat.
Sitting next to you he gives you a reassuring smile. “I know our marriage is not something you anticipated or even wanted. It’s a sacrifice whether you think so or not, and I will do everything in my power to make this as easy for you as possible. If there is anything you want or need please don’t be afraid to ask.” The sincerity in his voice made your heart soar.
When contemplating an arranged marriage by your parents you had always pictured them choosing a male who was stuck up and in his own world. While Ruhn is in his own world there is a kindness to him you’ve never seen in other males.
Ruhn continued asking you questions about yourself. What you went to school for, your interests, favorite foods, stuff like that. Before you knew it over an hour had passed. Staring at the clock you slightly jolted, remembering Bryce saying Ruhn had a busy schedule. “What is it?” Ruhn asks, worry lacing his tone.
“Oh, umm Bryce said you have a busy day and I didn’t mean to keep you this long,” that shyness came creeping back in, a blush dusting your cheeks again. Ruhn smiles sweetly at you. “Don’t worry about it. I am prince of this place, remember.” He teases with a raised brow, his piercing glinting in the sunlight coming through the tall windows.
“I don’t want to stress you out by thinking you’re keeping me.” He says, standing from the table and holding out his hand for you. “Come on, I’ll show you to your room.” You laced your fingers with his, letting Ruhn pull you along.
As he gave you a history of the stronghold you let your mind wander. Maybe this wouldn’t be as bad as you thought. Ruhn seemed to want to get to know you and he was quite charming. With time maybe your relationship can grow into something…more.

Day 2,557 [G.W]
[Pairing:] George Weasley x GN!Reader
[Summary:] A boy comes into the joke shop with his mother; It felt all too weird for the one-eared owner to feel so at ease, something he never felt for the past 7 years.
[Warnings:] angst, sad, major character death (not Fred obv), reincarnation, grief, mourning, swearing
[a/n:] Scrolling through facebook and getting videos of children talking about their past lives really intrigued me. This is my first fic and it might be bad so please don’t bully me, I’m sensitive <3 (jkjk but I am open for constructive criticism!)
[a/n; March 2024] I wrote this draft back in 2021 or 2022 I believe, waiting desperately for the opportunity to finish and post this. That time never came. Now, 2 or 3 years later, I gravely admire my vocabulary, creativity, and passion for writing back then. Honestly speaking, moving schools killed my spark and I am desperate to get it back. For now, I am working on reviving that spark within me by going back to where I started. Even though the HP fandom isn't as active as it used to be, I would still like to share this piece I made because I am so, so proud of my younger self.

There was something about Y/N wearing white that George loved so much. He always got so giddy and cute which in turn made their eyes roll and mouth grin.
The way Y/N looked sitting at the Great Hall with their white sleeves rolled to their elbows, one hand under their chin and the other twirling a spoon while their eyes dragged along their charms textbook, cramming in as much information as they could for the upcoming test that afternoon.
Or that time at the Yule Ball when they thought it’d be funny to wear an all white ensemble because: “What?...I wanted to feel like a bride at their wedding.” whilst having the best night with George, their “groom”.
Even small moments like when they would steal a shirt from George’s drawer and wear it to sleep. He loved every single bit of it, even if it cost him many shirts.
He truly never got enough of them wearing white. So seeing them in a casket wearing that same color 7 years ago, looking so peaceful and so… dead. That killed him. That’s the last time he will see them in white; That’s the last time he’s going to see them at all.
That was the last time he could actually feel their hand rather than just dried oil on linen canvas, framed in oak and hung atop his bed. How he wished their eyes could roll one more time at how stupidly in love their boyfriend is with them, especially in white.
Voldemort’s reign of terror had ended, as well as the lives of many others, and maybe even George. They were a horcrux he never made, his life force created by deep love and affection rather than the hunger for immortality.
It never got easier even after 7 years, he simply just got used to it.
He got used to the feeling of an empty bed. He got used to gripping onto a cold body pillow instead of a warm figure and a heartbeat with Y/H/C hair disturbing his lips. He got used to counting the days since their death which gravely disturbed Fred, his twin. He got used to waking up everyday and checked off a box from the calendar with an absurd amount of numbers on it.
Admittedly he is doing better than he did 7 years ago. No more jumping from every small sound and drawing out his wand in the middle of the night. No more vivid dreams of several dead bodies laid across the Great Hall. No more crying himself to sleep. No more missed dinners. No more grieving.
He’s longed for them longer than he has actually been with them. But his love never faltered. Not once.

Day 2,557
It's now exactly 7 years since the Battle of Hogwarts. And in a month it would be the 7th anniversary of his obituary for Y/N on the Daily Prophet, a suggestion made by Percy to try and help his grieving brother. It helped, but not really.
The small May 2nd, 2005 box wrote “Baby Vic’s Birthday!” in bold red ink. George moved the yellow paper star that stuck gently onto the calendar with paper tape as Fred walked into his room. Envelope in his hands, bread between his teeth, and a beautiful haughty looking owl on his shoulder.
“Fun to finally see you up, Georgie!” Fred greeted sarcastically as George hummed in response. “Bill just sent an owl that little Vicky’s turning 5!"
"That is usually how birthdays work, Freddie." George joked, grabbing his wand and with a flick, his bed is magically fixed. "I'm not a dumbass, you know?" Fred chuckled lightly as he handed George the letter from Bill and Fleur, "They're hosting a party for her at the Burrow at 5."
He took the piece of parchment and flattened it by his desk before pulling it closer to his face, his back mindlessly pinning itself to the wall.
Dear Fred and George,
Bill here, As you should know, it's baby Victoire's 5th birthday today and we would really like love to have you two come by the Burrow at 5 pm.
Vic really misses you both. Uncle George this, Uncle Fred that. She’s going to be like you two one day, I’m tellin’ ya. She loves listening to stories you tell her, especially the ones about Y/N and Tonks. She thinks that they’re the coolest people ever and that she wished she could meet them. I simply told her that one day she would, but it’ll be far far away from now.
Hope to see you later! Please owl back immediately, Vic’s got Ginny’s temper.
xx Bill
“I’ve already owled them my ‘happy birthday’ letter before Chouette came.” Chouette, the owl cooed at the mention of her name. Slightly shuffling her feathers therefore lightly tickling Fred's neck, making him shiver. The haughty owl flew from Fred's shoulder to George's making the younger twin chuckle.
"Seems like Chouette is telling you to take a bath, mate." George laughed as the back of Fred's hand flew to his forehead. "I got us crepes and bread for breakfast! And you go on and call me stinky?" Fred exclaimed dramatically.
"How 'bout you be a dear and write to Bill and Fleur that we are going to Vic's party, alright?"
"Yeah, yeah, I'll do that." George agreed, taking out a roll of parchment from his desk drawer as well as a quill and a bottle of ink. "While I eat my breakfast and write this, will you be a dear and take a bath!" Fred cackled at his younger brother's statement. Though in a bit the sound of water dropping down the shower head echoed through the small flat above the shop.
╰┈➤✎*+:。.。⋆·˚ ༘ **ੈ✩‧₊˚ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
School owls poured in as numerous Hogwarts students wanted to take advantage of the annual “54% off ‘End of War’ sale” at Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes held in memory of the fallen 50. Because in Fred and George’s philosophy, “...We might not be able to save them, but they can save our customers over 50% off of all our products!”
It seemed insensitive but it’s the thought that counts. They wanted to make sure that their passing didn’t go to waste, even if it is counted as a discount to the famous Diagon Alley shop.
Mr. Weasley and Mr. Weasley were rather busy picking up and shipping out their joke products, sending it to the owls who were perched up in a little area at the back of the store, nibbling on insects Verity; a part of their staff had handed them before sending them back to the school her bosses previously dropped out of.
It was nearing lunch time when everyone wearing magenta robes stocked up the shelves again, having been sending out owls since 8 in the morning when they heard a clanging from the front doors, signaling that a customer had finally came; A middle aged woman looked starstruck whilst holding onto a young boy that’s slowly getting out of her grip, having the same eagerness as his mother.
It wasn’t unusual for customers to react this way coming into the Weasley’s joke shop. The boy’s eyes sparkled while the mother looked in admiration. The mother crouched down to hold onto her son, keeping him from running while his mouth spilled with words.
“Mum, we have to get something for Mia!” the boy cried out eagerly, eyes darting towards every single corner of the store. George’s mouth upturned into a sloppy grin whilst listening to the boy.
“Marty, that’s sweet of you, but we already got the quill she wanted.” The mother said quietly, running her hands over the boy’s shoulders, easing it. “And it’s your birthday...” George didn’t know what came after that as he took the chance and walked towards the small family with a big smile on his face, quickly followed by Fred.
“Heard it’s a little man’s birthday.” inclined George, hands in his pockets and head down turned. The mother looked up and stood from her spot, giggling slightly as she kept a hold of her son’s shoulders. “What’s your name?” he asked, now being the one to crouch down in front of the boy.
The boy tilted his head to the side, eyes slightly strained. He looked both confused and hyper focused at the same moment. Though weird, George thought nothing of it. After all, he was a kid, the man he’s looking at has one ear, and the hyperfixation was quickly ended by the slight shake of his shoulders. The mother looked down at her son, silently telling him to introduce himself. And so he did.
"I'm Martin! I turn 6 today!" the boy said enthusiastically, bringing a smile on George's face. Being around Martin felt odd, it felt so unapologetically peaceful and rather… familiar.
"SIX?!" Fred loudly piped in. "Well now that's big, little man!"
The mother was slightly startled by the appearance of the ginger's twin, though the same cannot be said about Martin who simply smiled absentmindedly.
"I knew you before." said Martin, eyes targeting the younger twin. George smiled and kept close to the boy, keeping the conversation going. "Really?" he asked with vivid curiosity, he did not recognise the boy or his mother but fueling a child's imagination wouldn't hurt anyone.
"How?" piped in Fred, now also crouching beside his twin, "And why just him?" he asked comedically, pointing to his brother.
"Since we were 11." Answered Martin with no signs of struggle on his face. The red haired owners looked at each other, though more in disbelief than in confusion.
"Thought you said you were 6, Martin?" George asked with a kind look on his face. The boy’s mother shook her son’s shoulder harder than she did the past few times, mumbling “Marty, what did I tell you?” in tired disbelief.
“M’sorry mum.” Martin said with a pinch of sincerity before turning back to face the bigger man in front of him. “I was 20 before I became 6.” “Marty.”
Chilling, the owners thought. As they were 20 at the time of the battle of Hogwarts.
“I’m so sorry Mr.--”
“Weasley.” Fred replied as the confusion simmered throughout his twin brother. “S’really nothing to worry about Mrs.--?”
“Edevane. But I truly am sorry, he’s just a very imaginative little kid. Always has stories of his quote-unquote ‘past life’.“ she explained, making the kid become a bit mad. “But mum, it’s true!-”
“Marty, how about we look around the store, alright? Mr. and Mr. Weasley could show us around perhaps?” Mrs. Edevane hinted to the twin owners, relief gracing their legs as they were now able to stand on their feet.
“Yes, we can certainly do that! Come along Marty, tell us more about this ‘past life’ of yours.” Fred’s arm wrapped around the small boy’s shoulders, showing him around the color filled shop. “Sorry about that Mrs. Edevane.” he added mischievously, “Here at Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, we like to encourage creativity and imagination.”
“--As it is the reason we got here.” George finished, giving Mrs. Edevane a kind smile as they start roaming around the shop. “Uhh. Mr. Weasley.” Her fingers tapped onto George’s shoulder. His head whipped around and mouth about to open when suddenly the 6 year old spoke; “Mum, Mr. Weasley’s name is George. This one’s Fred.”
The utter shock that went through the twin wizards was clear as day. No where in the shop did it say the owner’s names. Even their name tags; The little badge pinned on their suits merely wrote ‘Mr. Weasley’. Fred, being the initiator that he is, leaned forward. “Now how can you be so sure, Marty?” he teased, “What if I tell you that you’re wrong?”
Martin simply smiled, angling his head a bit to the side again. “Mr. George has a longer face, down turned eyes and eyebrows, he’s a bit taller than you, Mr. Fred. You have a squarer face and shorter features than him.” he explained smoothly and innocently. As if it’s something he’s observed over the course of his whole life.
“Ma’am, I’m afraid your son’s a genius.” George joked, even if he’s visibly disturbed, though nonetheless intrigued. Nobody has ever differentiated them this way, even their own mother. Though one person did. The one he cherished most. The mother smiled, holding onto her son once again.
“I’m no genius.” Martin spoke, a shy smile gracing his small little lips, so identical to the person’s portrait above George’s bed. He even said their typical response to their mind being praised.
“-- I just quietly observe.”
Martin spoke but George merely whispered. A shiver ran through his spine, heart pumping, cold sweat dripping from his forehead. It could’ve all been a coincidence. One big coincidence served on a silver platter, garnished with confusion and terrifying accuracy.
“Mr. Weasley?”
He snapped back, giving the woman a sign to continue. “Uh, I just wanted to ask... err. Why that big of a discount? Why is it 54% off of everything? That doesn’t really sound like a good marketing strategy, doesn’t it?” She asked curiously.
“Well Mrs. Edevane.” George started, seeing as Fred and little Martin were still going around the shop. “Remember the last wizarding war?” Mrs. Edevane shook her head. His smile faltered a bit but still kept his composure. “We’re, what you call it? Muggle--born?” Her eyebrows furrowed while her teeth sinked into her bottom lip. “Well, my daughter... err. Just started her first year and that McGonagall woman said that she’s a ‘muggleborn’.”
They truly didn’t know who they are.
“-- What I’m trying to say, Mr. Weasley, is that we, or at least I, am not magical. Nor is my husband.” He nodded, breathed in a bit as his mind tried to ease itself. The boy couldn’t have known who he is as they wouldn’t have known anything about the prophet, or could they?
“Well, Mrs. Edevane. 7 years ago at this date. The second wizarding war has ended. My brother-in-law defeated... him.” It was still hard to say his name, even years later. “V-Voldemort.”
She looked curious but silently let him continue. “Uh, remember when. Uh-uhm that bridge collapsed in muggle london? 7-8 years ago? A big hurricane happened? When a lot died like-” It was hard to explain. Truly. It was hard to live through it again.
“Like that Emmeline Vance lady?”
“Yes, exactly!” He exclaimed. “It was all caused by him. By wizards! Dark wizards!” Her previously bright face now looked horror struck. It was all making sense. “Seven years ago, this day. Everything ended at Hogwarts. As well as the lives of 54 on our side.” He wanted to mention one very special loss, but figured that she doesn’t need to know about it. She was just a muggle mother who brought her son birthday shopping. “We wanted to commemorate them.”
A sincere look graced upon her face, out of pity. “Is there any chance that you’ve seen anything from the ‘Daily Prophet’, Mrs. Edevane? Or your son?” He asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence. She shook her head, now gracing a look with pure confusion. “A-Anything. Like a paper? A newspaper with moving photographs? Or maybe a-a Quibbler?”
She shook her head. “Why’re you asking Mr. Weasley?” His mouth opened, about to burst out his concerns and held in grief to a complete stranger when; “George!”
It was Fred, hand resting on his twin’s shoulder as the six year old boy beside him just stood. “-- Can I talk to you? I need to talk to you.” He said, fright gracing his features and panic in his voice.
George nodded, bidding a quick goodbye to the mother and son who came in a few moments ago and calling for one of their faculty to give them the tour they wanted.
Fred pulled his twin to an empty corner of the shop. Sound muffled by the stacks of products ranging from fireworks to extendable ears. “That boy George.” Fred panted. Voice shaking. “He knows too much. Is there a chance that you put anything about how Y/N saved me?”
“Briefly. Why?” His heart was about to pop out of his chest at any moment. Any moment now his heart would be a new WWW product.
“He explained everything! Everything George! Knew things that he shouldn’t have!” Fred said, terrified. “What did he say?” asked George. Croaking out whatever’s left in his heaving lungs.
“He said that he saved me. Me and Percy! From the explosion! I didn’t think much of it at first, George! I knew that you wrote that in their obituary. But he just kept going.” Frightened. They were both frightened. “Everything they did. He knew.”
“How accurate was he?”
“Very. George. Disturbingly accurate.” Back straightened and composed, Fred stood back, eyes darting back and forth from his brother to the entrance of the shop. “He knew that they transfigured the rubble to sand. He knew that they cast that ring of fire shit they did. The diabolica thing to ward off the death eaters? Yeah. He named the spell. HE NAMED THE SPELL, GEORGE!”
“I heard you the first time!” George yelled back. Disturbed, yet he felt at peace. He could have the last goodbye he’s always wanted. “We need to talk to the boy, Fred.”
His twin nodded fervently, about to walk away from the corner when he felt an arm tug on his elbow. “Oi, how can we do it without worrying the mother?”
“Give whatever he wants for free. It’s his birthday after all. Now come on!”

Chapter 6: Lone Wolf amongst Dragons, Lions, and Stags
You and Aemond had entered the banquet hall with arms connected and he guided you to the head of the long table with many of nearby lords who had come to swear to Aegon who had sat at its head. The last time you’d seen Aegon, Aemond still had two eyes, he looked disheveled and drunk to high hell and food hadn't even been served yet.
This man, no, this boy was not fit to be king…
Sat on the left and right of Aegon was Otto and Helaena, Helaena looking as radiant as you remember, even staring off into space as you remember her doing normally as children she’s still immaculate. Otto was there too you suppose.
Next to Helaena was Alicent, wearing her usual Green and Gold ensemble. Next to Otto were 2 empty seats, which was of course for you and Aemond.
Most of the guests had already arrived and taken their places. You could feel their eyes burning into you as you walked with Aemond along the table to take your seats.
You had rarely dined with so many people before, you normally ate all meals by yourself in your room, feeding leftovers to Snow and Smoke.
Even when you did eat in the dining hall you sat at separate tables from Cregan and his wife, sitting with them would just cause an argument you couldn’t win. Occasionally you were forced to attend banquets with Cregan so he could show you off to other lords of the North as a suitable bride.
Perhaps that’s why you were clinging to Aemond like a lost child like you had as children. Aemond pulled out your chair for you and pushed you in before taking his own seat next to you. He sat across from his mother so that means you were sat across Jason Lannister, you wouldn’t have been able to guess who he was exactly if he had not been wearing lion motifs.
Your hands were folded tightly in your lap, not sure where to rest them. No one here was from the North, you were the only one. Not that you expected them to be, the North goes where the Lord of Winterfell goes.
Now you sit, a Lone Wolf amongst Dragons, Lions, and Stags. You don’t know why your reality was hitting you right in this moment, of where you were and how you got here.
You sat in colors that weren’t yours. A dress that wasn’t yours. With people that weren’t yours.
Is this the price to be free?
Would this be the freedom you were hoping for?
You were broken out of thought by a hand on your clothed thigh, it was Aemonds of course. Thumb caressing gently as he leaned in.
“Are you alright? We can go back if this is too much for you.”
“No no! It’s alright, I'm fine, it’ll be fine.”
Aemond hums and leans back into his chair but does not move his hand. You scan your gaze across the room looking to see any, any familiar face. But there were none, none that mattered to you anyway. Aemond was engaged in a conversation with his Grandsire, Alicent was trying to pull Aegon out of his cups lest he drown in them.
All eyes seem to be preoccupied.
Besides one pair.
Helaena gazes at you underneath her eyelashes, you aren’t sure what emotion she’s feeling right now. She twirls her food on her fork slowly before opening her mouth.
“A Winged Wolf sees four cornered Dragons but she cannot save them all.”
You were caught off guard to say the least, what did that mean? Before you could think of a response Aegon drunkenly cut you off.
“Gods, you’ll scare the girl all the way back to Winterfell with your ramblings before I can even get a good look.”
Aegon slurred before downing his whole cup of wine back and relaxing back in his chair after his drunken outburst. The ones of you close enough to hear were knocked silent by his flurry of comments.
Helaena sunk back into her chair, embarrassed by Aegon shutting her down.
You felt terrible for Helaena for such a mistake of a husband, she deserved greater than what she’d been given in this life. She’s a Queen now is she not? And this is the respect she gets from those around her?
Aegon's ramblings made Aemond grip your thigh tighter with rage, he didn’t think he would have to keep an eye on Aegon. He had his whores and booze, how dare he make comments to you and at the same time disgrace his sister, his wife at the same time.
Without thinking you stood up, the squeak of your chair making the people around you turn to look. Shit. You’d done this without thinking, but you felt what you wanted to do.
Swiftly, as if your legs didn’t ask permission from your mind to move, you move around the table to Heleana’s seat. You bowed down a little to her level and held your hand out for her to take.
“Would you like some fresh air my Queen?”
———-
“Sometimes I forget that I am Queen… No one calls me such.”
“That’s blasphemy! You are the most Queenly looking woman the mother has bestowed upon the realm.”
“You are too kind really, I could say the same about you Y/N. You carry yourself in such a way, even when we were children.”
“You flatter me too much Helaena.”
You and Helaena stood by the balcony, the cool air feeling nice on your heated skin. It was far more humid than Winterfell so a nice breeze was exactly what you needed.
“… Hel, what exactly did you mean by what you said earlier?”
“Oh, well, nothing really. I just do that sometimes. Don’t worry yourself over it”
She smiled at you, you suppose you wouldn’t push it bc it was Helaena of course. She doesn’t have an ill bone in her body so you’ll take her word for it.
“Do you wanna see something fun? I brought my sword with me, the only thing I brought!”
“Really? The boys would really like that, Jaehaerys has taken an interest in swordsmanship…”
“I’ll bring my sword by later tonight and I can let him and Maelor take turns holding it!”
You link arms with Helaena pulling her close, you were excited to finally have another woman to chat with around your age. You didn’t have anyone to talk to when you weren’t with Aemond occasionally. Definitely not any other girls. You think Helaena would feel the same way.
“Y/N? My Mother suggested I should show you to your personal chambers early. Sorry to steal her from you, sister.”
“No worries Brother, she’s your wife. I’ll be seeing her later anyway.”
You and Helaena share a tight hug before she returns to the banquet hall leaving you with Aemond. He gives you a questioning look.
“I haven’t seen her in almost a decade, Aemond, I just want to get to know at least one other girl my age.”
“Very well, No judgment here. Maybe I just want you all to myself, hm?”
——————
Aemond held onto you posessively as he guided you to your personal chambers. As if you would fly away if he’d loosen his grip any further.
“You won’t be living in the room for long, Mother just thought it would be inappropriate for us to be sleeping in the same bed while unwed”
A smug smile creeped up on your face.
“Hm? Is your mother worried for you, or for me? Because the last I remember you couldn’t even control your hunger hundreds of feet in the air. Perhaps she knows how twisted you are?”
“Watch yourself, you’re only safe for so long. Once the gods make it official it would take 500 men to pry me off of you as I take you on the sept floor.”
He dug his hand into the fabric of your waist and pressed his nose into the side of his head pressing your body against his where you felt something hard pressing against your ass. Your face turned bright red as you suppressed the moan bubbling , you didn't know this Aemond, so depraved and you liked it…
Once you and Aemond reached your temporary room he wasted so little time he almost forgot to open the door first. His lips pressed into yours in a mush of teeth tongue and spit. Dry humping into each other giving small bits of pleasure but never enough.
“I can’t, I need to taste the real thing.”
Aemond picks you up by your waist and throws you down onto the bed and is under your skirts before you even processed you were thrown down to the bed.
“Aemond! Mmph~!”
“Gods, you sit there all dinner in this sinful fucking dress. I’m gonna absolutely devour you.”
Aemond rips your underwear open and helps himself to your cunt. Holding your thighs open and digging his tongue into your folds, giving you no mercy.
He grasps and pulls at your hips forcing you deeper into his tongue, all you can do is pull at the bedsheets and whine.
“Aem- please I can’t! Gods have mercy-“
Your hips moved on their own, your clit rubbing against Aemonds nose as his tongue was buried in your walls. You could feel your peak approaching rapidly, he was eating you out like a man starved and deprived.
He’s wanted you like this all his life, he’s never stopped thinking about you. He begged and pleaded with everyone he could when he was a boy to let them have you, but he’s a man now. So he took you as he wanted you, and asked no one.
Your cunt was like ambrosia to him, he wanted this so fucking badly. He was so dehydrated and his grip on your hips was like he was scared someone would take you away at this very moment.
“Aemond please I’m not going to make it! I’m I’m-!”
Your head snapped back and your eyes rolled back as you hit your limit and your legs trapped Aemonds head in place, not that he was going to stop of course. His tongue unstopping takes you through the rest of your high.
He came up from your core with pupils wide with desire and his mouth glistening with your juices. He says nothing before he jumps up and attacks your neck. You yelp at your own sensitivity being attacked and he all but tears your dress off your form.
He starts unbuckling his pants and freeing his cock, you surprisingly have never seen it before.
“Aemond you know I can’t-“
“Your thighs aren’t off limits, you little tease.”
Aemond spits into his hand and rubs his length sensually. Moving into position squeezing your thighs shut around his cock. Aemond shutters at the sensation, being right up against your cunt but not being able to enter you.
“You are eating this up aren’t you? Can you feel what you do to me? Huh? Fuck-“
Aemond starts to move his hips at a feral pace, his forehead pressed to yours. This is the first time his cock feels the softness and the warmth of your body. His movements cause you overstimulation making you whimper and whine under him.
“Please Aem, I’m all yours! I love you so much!”
Aemond was so pent up he didn’t last long between your thighs, the compression, the warmth. He came between your legs with a shutter of his hips, pumping absentmindedly until they gave out on him.
“I love you too!”
You both laid there panting and catching your breaths, wrapped in each other's arms. Aemond pulled out of your thighs and you both winced at the sensation.
“That’s a preview for our wedding night, believe me.”

The Style Evolution of Queen Elissa of Carrington (King's/Queen's Day Edition Part 3)
See Part 1, her Crown Princess looks, here and the first part of her Queen looks here!
Tumblr media
The start of Elissa's so-called "red years" was a symbol of the tremendous changes that the Royal Family was undergoing. Queen Eliza, Elissa's mother-in-law, had passed away just months prior, and the engagement of then Crown Princess Anastasia and Hisirdoux Caspersen had just been announced. In tribute to her mother-in-law, the Queen, now matriarch of the Royal Family, wore one of her dresses and hats to King's Day.
Tumblr media
The next year, the Queen wore another homage-like-outfit, this time similar to one worn by her grandmother-in-law, Queen Helena. However, the overall effect with the public was that it was too "Christmasy" and the Queen would later go on to wear it to Christmas later that same year.
Tumblr media
The next year, shortly before then Crown Princess Anastasia married Hisirdoux Caspersen, the Queen wore a long red dress with a red fascinator and white flower, presumably as a nod to the fact that her eldest child was getting married.
Tumblr media
The year after the wedding was the Queen's most controversial year yet. In February of that year, a cost of living crisis impacted over 65% of Carrington's population and the public requested that members of the Royal Family not debut new outfits for King's Day, wearing something that they already had in their closets. Most female members of the family simply rewore their outfits from the Crown Princess's wedding the previous fall (The bride rewore an outfit from a previous King's Day), while the Queen debuted a brand new outfit, which despite hope that it had been her previous year's dress reworked, was met with disdain by the public, who criticized the Queen harshly for the brand new outfit and caused her popularity to fall dramatically.
Tumblr media
The year after, in an effort to gain back some of her popularity, the Queen attended King's Day for the first (and only) time in the State Coach in an outfit that she had worn to Gianna, the Viscountess de Vanily's wedding the year prior, which gained back a tiny percentage of the popularity she had lost.
Tumblr media
For her last year attending as Queen Consort (although no one knew it at the time), the Queen rewore her outfit from Christmas the year prior, combined with a hat that was said to have belonged to Princess Isabel, although she was never photographed wearing it.
Tumblr media
Just a two months after having lost her husband, King Richard, the now Queen Dowager attended the first Queen's Day in close to 75 years in yet another Mary Poppins-esque ensemble and a repeat of her Christmas-like bow hat.
Tumblr media
The next year, the Queen Dowager returned to her tried and true style of dress for important occasions, as she had previously sported a pink dress similar to the wedding of the now Queen Anastasia and a very similar hat to King's Day while expecting the Princes Robert and Benjamin.
Tumblr media
And finally, for the most recent Queen's Day, the Queen Dowager rewore a floral hat that she's worn many times since it's first debut and a dress also designed by Natasha Burton, her favorite designer.

The most anticipated wedding of the year is here!
Tumblr media
(The groom and the bride leaving the Church)
Yesterday, on a day full of excitement and joy, Princess Viviane, Countess of Simton and cousin of our beloved Queen Isabella, married Mr. Alexander Beaumont, current Earl consort of Simton. The long-awaited ceremony took place at the majestic St. Hubert's Church, and although it was a private event, hundreds of people gathered in the streets to witness the arrival of the bride and groom and other members of the royal family.
The forecast of rain, typical of autumn, did not materialize, which many interpreted as a good omen for the future of the newlyweds. The day remained sunny and warm, accompanying the bride and groom in this very special moment.
Tumblr media
(The bride accompanied by her uncle Prince Henrik)
The bride made her entrance into the church in a dress that captured the attention of all present. The bespoke, classically inspired design was crafted from delicate white lace that fell in an elegant A-line silhouette. Long sleeves and a high neck added a touch of sophistication to the ensemble, while buttons running along the bodice and skirt completed the look with fine attention to detail. The Princess accessorised her outfit with the Simton tiara, a jewel inherited from her late father, the Earl of Simton, which gave a touch of tradition and nostalgia to her outfit, with her late father present throughout the ceremony.
Princess Viviane was escorted down the aisle by her beloved uncle, Prince Henrik, Duke of St. Sequoia. This gesture was particularly touching, given the close bond the Prince has with Viviane and his other nieces, Queen Isabella and Princess Francesca. The Duke arrived accompanied by his wife and two sons, Prince Liam, 26, and Prince Uriel, 23, who also joined in the family celebration.
One of the most moving moments of the day was the one between Princess Victoria and her daughter Viviane as they left the ceremony.
Tumblr media
Princess Victoria, who wore a stunning royal blue dress with delicate lace appliqués on the shoulders and neckline, approached her daughter to share an intimate moment of complicity. The two exchanged smiles and words of affection, recalling the strong mother-daughter relationship they share.
Of course the highest ranking members of the royal family did not want to miss this crucial event in Viviane's life, Queen Isabella and Prince Phillipe were also present at the ceremony and celebrations.
Tumblr media
(The bride and groom paying their respects to the Queen and the Prince Consort)
The biggest surprise, however, was the appearance of the Queen and Prince Consort's son, the three-year-old Crown Prince, who made his debut as a page boy at the wedding of his "Aunt Vivi", as the little boy is known to affectionately call her. The little Prince's cuteness was one of the most talked-about moments of the day. Prince Charles (like the other page boys) looked adorable in white and gold tones.
Tumblr media
(Prince Charles at the wedding)
Also present were the Queen Mother and Princess Francesca. Queen Mother Edwina chose an elegant blue dress with white flowers to match her headdress, while Princess Francesca opted for a dress in a vibrant green colour, similar to the one worn by her sister, Queen Isabella.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(First image, the Queen Mother hugging Princess Victoria. Second image, left, Princess Francesca; right, the Queen, speaking after the ceremony.)
Despite the notable attendance of royalty, the real stars of the day were undoubtedly Princess Viviane and Count Alexander Beaumont. The dress code for the event was top hats for the gentlemen and fascinators for the ladies, in keeping with the tradition of royal weddings. The Princess, as is customary, wore the Simton tiara, a tribute to her late father, while Count Alexander, in a gesture that reflected his particular style, chose not to wear a hat, standing out with his perfectly coiffed hair, something that is rarely seen on him.
In short, the wedding of the Countess and Earl of Simton was an event full of elegance, tradition and, above all, love. We, like many others, are very happy for this lovely couple and wish them a life full of happiness and prosperity. May their union be as long-lasting and strong as the ties that bind them to their family and their land!
Tumblr media
(Countess and Earl of Simton)
Comments section:
EmilyInW: Princess Viviane looked absolutely radiant, and the fact that the sky remained clear is certainly a sign of good fortune. I couldn't stop admiring the Simton tiara! What a wonderful gesture to remember her father on this very special day.
RoyalbigFan: Alexander showed off his unique style by not wearing a top hat, something that is unusual for a royal wedding, but reflects his personality. Congratulations to the newlyweds, may they remain as authentic as they were on their big day.
QueenIsabellaFan: The Queen looked truly spectacular in green! The bride looked like a real fairy in her beautiful white dress full of lace! And I love that the groom didn't leave behind his essence on his wedding day. We also got to see Prince Charles, we couldn't ask for more from this magnificent event.
JohnnyDallas: I am very happy, Viviane had a difficult childhood, losing her father when she was a child, she deserves all the happiness in the world!

ROYAL WEDDING OF HATTENBURGH & CAMBRIDGE with OLIVIA MALTLEY on CHANNEL 84 O’WILTA NEWS
(Wedding photo album included)
“Within the walls of the Cambridge Royal Cathedral in the countryside of O’Wilta, Eastland, Simlandovian and Eastland history will be made in real time, right before our very eyes.
Tumblr media
The Cambridge Royal Cathedral, located in the countryside of O’Wilta, Eastland
“The families of both wedding parties will be arriving shortly, but let’s take a moment to introduce our country’s new Princess, Nora Hattenburgh. At just sixteen, she graduated high school and entered university at Britechester. Now seventeen, she is to wed our Prince Frederick, soon-to-be King, and the two will rule two countries simultaneously, a first for both Simlandovia and Eastland, as this has only happened elsewhere due to the acquisition of a country.
Tumblr media
(L to R) Their Royal Highnesses Prince George, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, Princess Amalia, Prince-Consort William
“First to arrive is the bride’s family, the Hattenburghs. The men present themselves in sleek black suits while the women stand out in shades of purple. Queen Elizabeth stands vibrantly in a royal purple number: a simple sleeveless dress matched with the same colored heels and floral fascinator. Princess Amalia steps back with a pastel purple floral dress and fascinator, paired well with white heels with gold accents.
“It is understood that Princess Nora arrived early in the afternoon by private jet to the cathedral in order to best prepare herself for her big day!
Tumblr media
(L to R) Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederick, Princess Louisa, Princess Celina Fontane (not visible), Her Majesty Queen Gloria, Prince Stephon, His Majesty King Alexander, Prince Eric
“The next to arrive is the groom’s family, the Cambridges. Prince Frederick is seen donning a military uniform from the Royal Eastland Blue, which matches the Queen’s pastel blue dress and feathered fascinator. Princess Louisa arrived in a pastel pink jumpsuit and fascinator with white heels and fascinator ribbon details, while her daughter, Princess Celina, rocked a light purple dress and shoes. Prince Stephon "didn’t want to overdress” and sported a simple blue dress shirt and tie with brown pants, meanwhile the King and Prince Eric decided to ‘go big or go home’, with the King’s fashionable navy blue jacket and floral embroidered dress shirt combined with brown- almost purple- dress pants. Prince Eric showed up in his bright tan and white suit.
Tumblr media
(L to R) The Queen Mother Catherine, Prince Lucian, Princess Beatrice, Duke Joseph, Princess Annabelle
“The third group to arrive to the event included the Callahans and Duboses. Catherine rocked a royal blue knee-length dress and feathered fascinator, alongside Prince Lucian who matched his mother with a royal blue suit jacket and black pants. Princess Beatrice, the Queen Mother’s fourth grandchild, made her first formal engagement appearance with a lovely baby blue knee-length dress with matching low heels and floral fascinator. Duke Joseph contrasted the group with a bright yellow suit jacket and black pants, and Princess Annabelle looked professional as ever in a long bright green pleated dress and jacket with a matching green hat.
Tumblr media
(L to R) RA Peter Cash, LIW Annette Almin, RR Mirabel Regan
“And now for the unexpected arrival of Princess Nora’s new Royal Advisor and Lady-In-Waiting, dressed in a matching blue and white ensemble. The unexpected guest of the evening was Royal Report’s very own Mirabel Regan, who dressed to impress in a bright yellow knee-length dress and matching ribbon fascinator.
“And now, without any hesitation, shall we proceed with the event of the evening, and bare witness to the royal wedding of Frederick Cambridge and Nora Hattenburgh!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(L to R) Prince-Consort William, Crown Princess Nora
“Her Royal Highness is wearing a gorgeous off-shoulder lace wedding gown with a cathedral train, accented nicely with a sapphire and diamond parure. She’s being escorted down the aisle by her father, the Prince-Consort of Simlandovia.
Tumblr media
“Smiles and laughter of excitement arose from the wedding couple as they stood across each other, before they gave their vows at the cue of the out-of-frame officiant.

“And when the time finally came, the couple finished the long-awaited event with a historic spousal kiss! All of the wedding guests got up in a round of cheers for the moment as it unfolded.

BREAKING: ANYA, GUS STUN IN NEW PRE-WEDDING PHOTO; MORE ROYAL WEDDING DETAILS MADE PUBLIC
We're now only a week a way from the royal wedding, and it's official! Brindleton is abuzz with Royal Wedding Fever!
Today, the Palace surprised us with a brand new photo of the soon-to-be newlyweds and oh, boy! Do they look great together! Along with the new snap, more details of the royal wedding have been revealed.
The wedding will begin at exactly 10 o'clock in the morning. The Crown Princess will be accompanied by her parents, The Queen and Prince Jacques, aboard the Queen's exclusive state limousine as they head off from the Palace towards Brindleton Abbey. It has also been confirmed that Prince Jacques will be walking HRH down the aisle. The Queen will be escorted by her son, Prince Nicholas.
Gus, meanwhile, will travel to the Abbey from The Brindleton Plaza Royale Hotel. He will be riding in another state limousine, along with his mother.
After the ceremony, the procession will take place. The bride and groom will board a horse-drawn carriage - the same one used during The Queen and Prince Jacques' wedding - weather permitting.
Following the procession, the couple will grace the Palace balcony, and they are set to be joined by the members of the Royal Family and the groom's family.
In the evening, a private reception will be hosted by Her Majesty at the Palace.
The Palace also revealed that the wedding cake will be designed and made by world-renowned pastry chef, Flora Albadawi-Craneholm.
As for the gown Anya will be wearing for the ceremony, the Palace remained tight-lipped, although many royal fashion watchers are claiming that the new photo shared is a massive hint of what's to come.
Dressed in a strapless white dress with a layered skirt and a silk belt, HRH looked beautiful standing beside the love of her life. The photo appears to have been taken at the Palace gardens.
Andrea Preaseley, editor-in-chief of Brindleton Sogue, predicts that Anya's wedding dress will be modern - much like HRH:
"I think we'll be seeing a sleek silhouette, and more modern elements. Anya is very much a modern woman, and I think she's bound to surprise us with her wedding ensemble. Maybe off-shoulder since she's very fond of those, maybe even a strapless number. I think there'll be a tiara, for sure, but the veil is 50-50. I'm very excited to see the entire look."
Don't get us wrong - we love this update, but do you think they'll reconsider and push the wedding to tomorrow? Pretty please?

Imperial Weddings during the Romanov Reign
The bridal ensemble of a Romanov imperial bride was always the same. It could not deviate from the regulations estipulated by the imperial code. They wore dresses made of cloth of silver or gold, with jeweled buttons down the skirt, topped by a velvet and ermine mantle.
Their diamond accessories included the grand tiara made for Empress Elizabeth, which featured the Paul I Pink Diamond, as well as the Nuptial Crown, the Cherry Earrings, the Diamond Necklace, the Diamond Bracelet, and the Cloak Clasp, which had been made for Catherine the Great.  A royal wedding outfit weighed 25-30 kg. Standing still in it all day was difficult, let alone moving around! Sometimes the exhausted brides had to be carried.

According to tradition, brides in the Romanov family donated their wedding dresses to the church afterward. However, Alexandra Feodorovna, the last empress of Russia, decided to keep hers. That is why her wedding dress has survived to this day (it is on exhibition in the Hermitage.) This was considered an omen of bad luck.
Since Queen Victoria could not attend the wedding of her beloved granddaughter Alix in Russia, her other granddaughter, Alexandra's sister, Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna, sketched Alix’s wedding dress without the jewels and the velvet cloak and sent the sketch to their grandmother with a letter. In the letter, she discusses the lace veil worn by Alix as her bridal veil. It was the same lace wedding veil worn by her mother, Princess Alice of the United Kingdom, and her sisters, Princess Victoria, Grand Duchess Ella, and Princess Irene. See the sketches below.

Towards the end of the Romanov tenure as rulers of Russia, regulations relaxed somewhat. Nicholas II's sister Olga, who was notoriously rebellious regarding protocol, did not conduct her first wedding according to the imperial code and wore a regular wedding dress and none of the jewels. Her second wedding years later was even more casual. Prince Marie of Greece and Denmark (to become Grand Duchess Marie Georgevna by marriage) refused to get married in Russia or wear the wedding regalia, although she wore Russian court dress. The tradition had been for all imperial women to marry at the chapel in the Winter Palace, and it was not broken even for Queen Victoria, who could not travel so far by the time her second son, Prince Alfred Ernest, married Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna, the daughter of Emperor Alexander II.

Dear Bride and Groom, I am Perfectly Capable of Dressing Myself for Your Wedding, so Calm TF Down
That’s right, my loves. I am a grown woman with a credible fashion sense. In fact, since you forgot when my birthday is and planned your wedding on that hallowed day, I will be exactly 52 the day you walk down the aisle. In those 52 years I have learned how to dress my particular body. I am unlikely to show up under or overdressed (as long as you finally get around to sharing the dress code with us). I will cover up any offensive tattoos and my hair will be a silver and blue cloud of loveliness. So you don’t need to worry about me, No, I mean it, stop worrying about me and sending me pictures of bridesmaids dresses that will make me look like a stumpy flower fairy. I mean, I’m not a bridesmaid. I’m not an anything, really. Stepparents get stuck out of the way somewhere, which is absolutely fine with me.
BUT! As a gesture of good will, I will show you some of the dresses I have considered and rejected. This will make you feel better and engender trust in my decision making process. I think.
Anyway, here we go:
Tumblr media
You have to admit, people like this look. Something about the doubled-up granny hose and the sparkly crotch just does it for a lot of people. But I really wouldn’t want to upstage the wedding party, which I most certainly would if I attempted to stuff myself into this glamorous sausage casing.
Tumblr media
This looks super comfortable and I think it comes in your theme colors but I am sensitive to the the objections of the older guests who might be troubled by this ensemble. Is your internet-ordained celebrant also an exorcist?
Tumblr media
This festive fabric is popping with with colorful birds. You like birds, don’t you? Oh, sure, I get it. Psychedelics aren’t on the menu. Moving on.
Tumblr media
Ok, I can see that this is inappropriate for a beach wedding. Still, I may pick up some horns to slip on when you aren’t paying attention. (Which should be always, seeing as it’s your wedding day and you have enough to worry about!)
Tumblr media
Did you know that I once played a ringmaster in a school musical? My costume was nowhere near as exciting as this one, although I did have a large hat. So you can understand why I am drawn to it. Still, as far as I know we are not going to be having a Hug Jackman sing-along, so I’ll skip it.
Tumblr media
If only you were getting married on a farm! This one is made out out honest-to-goodness flour sacks and cast-off overalls, but maybe it’s a bit immodest.
Tumblr media
This, on the other hand, is Duggar-esque. Having lived through a half century of August birthdays I can tell you that this would render the wearer miserable in about 5 minutes. Waaay too much fabric.
Tumblr media
This is the dress I most wish I could wear, although I promise I won’t. I just know how much I would enjoy drifting through the ballroom like the vengeful ghost of a Victorian governess. Alas.
Tumblr media
As a final gift to you, let me suggest that if you are really adamant that I match the other two mothers you should consider this new take on twinsies, er, tripletsies. I call dibs on green!
And so, my beloved children, I hope I have shown you that I can be trusted to pick out my own appropriate wedding attire. Now you can stop thinking about it and turn your attention to the little shells you are going to scatter on the tables.
Much love,
Your wicked stepmother

@beatingheart-bride
"Oh, I'm very sure," he replied with a grin, making a mental note to wear the pearl cufflinks with his suit on the big day, in order to match with his blushing bride. "I think Ma always anticipated passing them on to my future wife; that and the necklace she wore..."
Remembering it, Randall went back through one of the other boxes kicking around and fished out his mother's jewelry box, including the aforementioned earrings and a few other little bits of jewelry (chiefly bracelets and brooches, nothing overly-extravagant, but still quite lovely), as well as a lovely silver necklace he pulled out to show Emily.
"This is a claddagh," he explained with a small smile. "Pa brought it with him from Ireland; his ma wore it to her wedding, and her ma wore it to her wedding and, uh...w-well, you get the picture. A-Anyways, Pa brought it with him and asked if Ma wanted to wear it, and at first, sh-she was a little hesitant, since she's not Irish herself. But it was such a symbol of love and a celebration of Pa's heritage, a heritage so many people frown on, that she couldn't say no. She took good care of it in the years since Pa died; she planned to pass it on to the next generation."
He smiled as he cradled the necklace in his pale palms; two hands holding a crowned heart, a simple but elegant symbol of love, loyalty, and friendship. It seemed only right that this also be a part of Emily's wedding ensemble-he had a good feeling that, much like with the earrings, his mother would be very happy to pass it on to her son's new wife.
