             harry hates crying. really, really, really cannot stand it, but here she is, tears tracking down her cheeks in lines as she stands in front of r, thin arms wrapped around herself. green eyes are a little vacant as she looks up at him, not quite sure she’s seeing but not going anywhere. big hands cup her cheeks and if she thought about it, she’d see legitimate concern in his gaze. maybe because she’s been standing there, crying, with no explanation. sh’s somewhat sure he’s wondering how long she can stand there crying. 

              but, he doesn’t say anything, not that he does much anyways. but he doesn’t even ask what’s wrong what happened, why she’s such a mess. his hands just cup her cheeks, thumbs brushing away the tears that still track down her cheeks. 

          she’s silent as she returns the stare, normally one who doesn’t stop talking. it must be a little creepy. a breath pulls from her, shuddering a little as she steps into him, arms around r with a sigh, her cheek resting on his chest. she’d like to be picked up, but she’s not going to ask for it. she really just wants comfort and she doesn’t know how to express that.

                a grunt escapes the slight brunette, tossing hair out of her face to look up at them as a hand wipes blood from their own cheek. a slender shoulder lifts, tugging the jacket over their head to wipe blood from her hands as well. “yeah, well,” another shrug, letting out a breath to look up at them properly, head tipped a little. “they bloody well deserved it. fuck with my family, that’s what you get.” their head tips to the mass of blood and flesh that might have at one time been a person, but now could barely be considered breathing. 

            harry shrugs, dimples showing in a bright, easy smile as she does. “i’m torn between being offended about the gremlin comment, and flattered that you think i’m terrifying. it’s a close call.”

           a soft grunt escapes the brunette with the hand the comes down on the mess of dark curls where they’ve been progressively shoved out of their face until there’s a mess atop their head. it’s not until r really begins to dig fingers into ruffle the long curls out of the mess of bobby pins and hair ties that green eyes actually come up to them. dark brows lift as her head shakes a little. “am i in the way? i just sat down to read for a while.” 

          though, that’s the moment they have to take into account that they have to acknowledge that the sky is rather dark compared to when she sat down, and the sun was barely coming up when they sat down. lips part, eyes narrowing slightly as she lets out a breath to frown. “have i... been here all day? shite. i didn’t have a water bottle.”
