#workplace violence prevention in healthcare is a joke 🙃#most of the time it's coming from patients that you just cannot reliably deescalate #ppl AOx0 from illness or dementia patients who are violent towards everyone (family included)#and holy fuck some of these ppl are STRONG. i had a coworker (with eds) who nearly got her finger broken #bc a 6'3" 180lb violent paranoid dementia pt bent it so far back the nail touched her wrist #1 reason I do not want to work geriatrics: I don't like being physically assaulted on a semi-regular basis!#health care #labor rights #adventures in nursing #adventures in nursing school
