He still holds him when Hob is all cried out and exhausted.

Back at the hotel with his injury treated, Dream gets in between Hob’s legs and gives him the most tender, loving blowjob. 4. A Story Idea You Haven’t Written Yet

As previously mentioned, I have So Many, but one of my favorites that I wanna do one day I refer to as the ‘Akuma Apocalypse’ where Monarch has trapped all of Paris in a bubble they’re unable to get out of, many many Akumas run wild and cause chaos in the streets, and the Miraculouses are scattered.

Both Ladybug and her earrings are MIA, meaning currently, Akumas can’t be purified, Chat Noir has been Akumatized into Chat Blanc but isn’t fully following Monarch’s orders, and the remaining Heroes only have a few Miraculouses on their side, having divided Paris in half and fiercely protecting those under their care while trying to figure out how to gain more ground and beat Monarch.

And in the middle of it all, Argos and Queen Bee, or Félix and Chloé respectively, end up as allies with neither side trusting them and having similar goals: Finding Adrien and Zoé respectively, both of which have gone missing in all of the chaos.

There is. A LOT of Hurt/Comfort and a couple identity things I wanna do so naturally I wanna put it all together one day!!

The long answer is that I like applying my current obsession to literally anything and everything I come across and as a result, I see where it takes me and sometimes the end result gets wildly out of hand. Sometimes it’s as simple as ‘What if [X] happened instead of [Y]?’ or just, ‘I wanna write more Félix and Chloé interactions specifically because I think they’re an interesting duo’ but sometimes it’s more like ‘I wanna see [Trope] so I’m gonna pull it off somehow’ and running from there. You get the idea!

So, I got this idea while watching a tik tok edit of Gastina, where he caption said that the creator loves using underrated Gastina scenes. The edit was really beatiful, but in my opinion, none of the scenes used were underrated...but I guess, not everyone is as obsessed as I am so we all have differnt views of that.

So, I present to you:

The underrated Gastina scenes that need more love... (according to me) (not in any particular order)

So, no kisses, or the first meeting, roses, the blindfold scene or the locker scene. Lets go.

This kind of categorizes the whole photgraphy arc. The first time we really saw them interract properly and the sparks clearly flying from the begining. I firmly believe that Gastón started having feelings for Nina right then are there, but didn't realize it. Also the teacher, Mr. Acosta as I have names him, was such a shipper. He probably won few bets at faculty lounge the start of S2 when they showed up dating.

This scene is literally the scene right before the "break up" in S2. So why I like it then? Ignoring what happen's after this, this is such a cute scene. They're talking about the Roller campain, and basically arguing over was Nina's text that caused them to go viral or was it the hastag, which very fast turned into flirting when Felicity got brough up. I really like that Felicity is not brough up often, because that's not where their relatioship is based on, but I do like it being used like this. Like them basically teasing each other about tehir history and Nina even asking if she should be "jelous of herself". If only the conflict hadn't started from here, because this scene was supposed to excalate into totally different direction, which you can see from both of their faces.

This one is really brief, but I love mainly for the ear thing. Why didn't that become a promident thing? We see this once, and it never came back. Why?

I love this scene mainly for this line, which I have used mutlple time as anti-Eric evidence. Also the matching outfits and full blown love-confessions we got in this very simple scene.

How can I possibly like this scene? It is very headbreaking and sad, but just still proves the superioty of this ship and especially what sort of a person Gastón is. He is mad at Nina, but also as heartbroken as she is, and never even raises his voice at her. He even hears her out, which is unheard of in DCLA.

I'm sorry, this is just the most adorable scene from season 1 honestly, adorable and a little bit maybe spicy in a way. I mean, they got physically really close when he caught her and his hands were on her waist and she pretty much squeezed his biceps in the process. There is like clear chemistry between them for that moment, and you can see from his face that he certanly felt some things. Okay, the physicaly chemistry aside, I also love this scene for the fact that in here Gastón taugh Nina how to stop on her skates. If you remeber, the one teaching her that was him, not Luna, which works perfectly with my analogy about Gastón's and Luna's influence on Nina.

Speaking of those feelings... I know that this is right after the blindfold scene, but I one of my fave thing about Gastina is the fact that Gastón actully fell in love with her, not Felicity and was in love with Nina since the begining. I mean in here he basically stopped gushing about Felicity and lost his train of thought as soon as Nina walked past him. He might like Felicity, but Nina's the one who is making his heart race when she's close (this is said in the Finnish subs) and he is feeling things. Which is basically Disney's way of saying that he has been caught very of guard of his overwhelming attraction to Nina all the sudden and doesn't know what to do with it. IN his mind, he can't be in love with her because of Felicity, but god he's in love with her and wants to be in love with her and he could actually be with her, but Felicity...

Continuing the with the theme here... This scene frustrates me, because Nina, my girl, how are you still convinved that Gastón didn't want you in the first place? He pretty much said so, how so you not know the conflic is between you and you? But, that makes this scene so good too. Maybe it is a good thing that Nina let Gastón out of his miseryt so soon after this. What I believe was happening in his head when he started leaving so aruptly was that because he wanted to kiss her so badly. I need to write some sor to a novelzation of his though process during these eps.

S4E9/10 - I Know What You Did Last Summer & Heaven and Hell

Ok so, this is a real topic, and I'm going to tread lightly here, but I appreciate the sinister undertones of Ruby coming onto Sam and him actively pushing back - he's vulnerable, abusing a substance, and she's actively taking advantage of that and doesn't stop after he makes it clear he's uncomfortable the first time. A boundary is broken and pushed through. Very icky. I have seen spoilers for Ruby's character (unfortunately!) and like, have to say, she got me. But I think I'd start to really clue in with this episode that something is deeply not ok - based on that one scene alone.

I am however, deeply worried, that the emotional manipulation is not going to be handled with the consideration it needs (especially with regards to a woman coming onto a man and being too pushy) and it'll be played off lightly. I guess we'll find out. But I'm getting defensive already. Appreciate that Dean clocks it immediately however.

Supremely embarrassed that it ONLY JUST CLICKED that they're doing a whole Sam's with the Demons, Dean's with the Angels thing.

I'll focus in on the most specific shit and then something so blunt will fly over my big idiot head. Amazing.

Ironic of course, and clearly intentional that its cause Sam was always appointed the 'better one' but that's only cause Dean purposefully inserted himself as the moral-fall character as a way to try and protect Sam. Obsessed with that concept, not so much with the heaven v hell stuff.

REGARDLESS, two angels rocking up and Ruby's immediate response being to turn on the demon eyes makes me wonder - is this intentional - did she choose to do this, was an otherworldly force compelling her to do it?

No I'm not just asking these cause I'm cooking up ideas for Sam to get more demonic nooooooo what're you talking about noooooooo

Hilarious that Cas and his mate rock up like "Hello we are literal fucking angels, we want this human woman please we're going to kill her now, please hand her over"

like they can't just yoink her regardless.

And this is starting to stray into "Why Shy really isn't enjoying the heaven-hell stuff in spn" - which I should save for an entirely separate post, but most of it boils down to the stakes don't feel serious anymore, the comparative power levels of character's feels unbalanced, it takes away ANY weight to Sam's personal faith as a character trait, and--

I'm sorry I just cannot get behind any of it. Really dislike it. Unfortunate. Oh well. Sozzles.

Heaven and Hell was a real hard episode for me to watch for a number of reasons and overall, I deeply disliked it, but the ending scene of Dean breaking down was extremely well done so huge props for that. Fantastic writing and acting all through. Much to consider!!

S4E11 - Family remains

I appreciate that unlike every ghost hunter I've watched on youtube, this show recognises that EMF readers cannot be completely trusted. 10/10 thank you supernatural. One small little line about the needle being wacky, and Dean noting that there's power lines right next to the house. Love it.

Also love that this episode forcibly made the boys reconcile with the confliction of killing humans vs killing creatures, but the humans were in a way like the creatures (monsters), the same way the monsters can be like humans.

Like I rabidly consumed seasons 1-3 like a starving animal and now I'm reluctant to watch episodes cause I know there's good shit in here, and each episode has some important development moments for characters, or relevant plot that I want to know about so I don't feel like I can start picking and choosing episodes based on descriptions yet. But damn. Lot more misses than hits for me this season. Seriously considering buying a dvds of just S1-3 cause GODDAMN. Loved almost everything about the first three.

Blue knows he has a lot of natural charisma and puts it to work. He is very extraverted and people tend to like him. Given how much practice he has put into his façade, Blue is quite good at convincing others that he likes them and he can get along with practically anyone.

Tere Bin in 45 mins (Part 2)

7. His solo realisation scene is where I was dead sure this guy is one hell of an actor and I was crushing hard, leading me to check out most of his dramagraphy.

8. Jab sukun se bore ho jau, bata de na, aa jaonga

9. A predictable but pivotal point comes in their relationship where they get into a car accident (his doing), but he puts himself in danger to save her. His confession to her after a series of misunderstandings was far more powerful than a ‘I love you’

10. The quintessential move the hair from the cheek scene 😄

Where the show hits rock bottom and stops making sense:

This is where the writer should have started showing Meerab softening towards him, maybe some more angst where she fights her mind with her heart, but after this, the show went downhill in an illogical sequence after sequence - which I can no longer waste my time on! If you catch just their scenes post E20 you will be left wondering what is going on 😂

Anyways - one bonus scene post E20 where we get Murtasim saying a cheesy line. I have no idea why I love this scene so much 😂 Maybe cause it reminded me of ZGH tea scene. No comparison though, ZGH one was epic. In that scene Fawad does magic with his eyes and in this one Wahaj with his deep, husky voice.

Where I stand with the show:

Murtasim had the makings of a Darcy, purely cause of how Wahaj has portrayed this role - he has just the right amount of swag and panache. Wahaj is extremely versatile without a doubt, but his biggest plus point is how well he emotes the feeling of being in love. Obviously, the writer did not have the Darcy vision, so the writing of Murtasim was a bit toxic in the initial episodes and some red flags emerged on and off in later episodes which were inconsistent given his character’s growth.

Yumna and Wahaj have undeniably great chemistry, but as the scenes progress you realise Meerab being cold to Murtasim’s growing feelings becomes kill joy after a point. The writer and director have missed the opportunity to tap the potential of these two actors, especially Wahaj who could romance a stone and still melt our hearts! Yumna (from her other drama I am watching with Wahaj) is very comfortable and good in soft & emotional scenes (as evident in the post accident scene). I would have loved to see Meerab softening towards Murtasim’s genuine efforts, her heart and mind battling towards her growing feelings for him, confession and then them settling into marital bliss. But the writer has pushed the audience into an abyss of illogical sub-plots and conniving,obsessive cousin that make no sense. The writer has done so much harm to Meerab’s character to the point that her redemption arc will take some doing.

So in summary , if you haven’t yet started the show but are wondering what the fuss is about, I would suggest don’t waste your time watching the entire show. Just read these two posts and scenes that are probably worth spending your 45 mins on this show just to watch the excellent Wahaj Ali as Murtasim and his fine chemistry with Yumna Zaidi as Meerab.

Ahhh thanks for the ask!! I'm putting it all under the cut lol.

Darklina

When I started shipping it if I did: As much as I love the ship now, I actually didn't start really shipping them until I joined the fandom and saw all the hate lol (I'm a Malina girlie at heart 😔). It was kind of a spite ship lol.

My thoughts: It's one of the most intriguing ships in SaB when it comes to potential and complexity. For all that I love the Darkling, that doesn't necessarily mean I would like him with Alina (he has harmed her and those she loves quite a bit after all), but I've really fallen in love with the ways their relationship could have gone, especially in regards to Alina and her own development in terms of reclaiming agency, self actualization, and a progressive character arc instead of the canonical regressive one. Even canonically, there is something so compelling in the books about the moments they have together and the dynamic they possess. I like that Alina has so many conflicting thoughts on him and I like that the Darkling clearly cares for her but his idea of love is so skewed. Mostly, I just love the push and pull power exchange of their dynamic a lot.

What makes me happy about them: They're adorable in the show and compelling in the books. Not to mention there is a mutual obsession between them that is absolutely hilarious lol. And I love the mind bond a lot I think it's really interesting and allows them to have so many fascinating scenes together in the books. I also really love how they can understand each other on a fundamental level others cannot.

What makes me sad about them: The tragedy of it all, not just in the nature of their dynamic, but also in what Aleksander's death means for Alina. Alina's character arc makes me so incredibly sad, and it's saddening to think about everything she loses at the end of the books. Not just in terms of innocence, but also in the fact that she loses her powers and loses what is essentially the only person on the planet who can understand her. Also, what makes me sad, but that I love, is the haunting aspect of their relationship. I've said it before but the way he haunts her in the second book is very 'she is haunted by the ghost of his inevitable death at her hands' 'she is haunted by his memory'. the darkling always exists first and foremost as a memory to Alina. all of his actions have more of an impact on her after the fact, which I think is interesting.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Lots of things lol. I'm not too fond of Aleksander being the Super Dominant Man while Alina is like this poor wilting sub, although there are some fics that actually strike a decent balance. I don't like it when Aleksander is british or christian or catholic or something instead of russian and jewish, the same going for Alina. Most fics that have Alina too innocent or stupid aren't appealing because she's not. Most fics that treat Aleksander as if he's nicer or meaner than he is aren't appealing either. If it's a fic that indicates this is sort of a study on if things were different, I don't mind it. But if it's a fic that goes 'this is how they canonically are and that's why I'm writing it this way'. Then I just nope out of there lol. Anything that says Aleksander is being redeemed is something I am peaking into with one eye closed hoping for the best like a skittish animal ready to bolt at the slightest provocation. Also anything where Aleksander is born into power and wealth instead of having to claw his way to the top or Alina is super sheltered instead of someone who has experienced the worst of the world. Basically I struggle a lot with Darklina fics.

Things I look for in fanfic: Alina is a solid human being. She is powerful, and even when she isn't dominant she holds a level of control. Alternatively, she starts out with no power or control and reclaims it, forcing a better and more equal dynamic between her and Aleksander. One of the best Darklina fics I've ever read is Absolute by TwilightToMidnight, and it is probably one of the only fics like it that I will ever read. I usually do not like unhappy endings or heavy power imbalance fics, but I came to love this one and I came to really like the ending a lot. In fics, I also look for power struggles where it is a back and forth push pull between them, and one of them is always struggling to get on top, succeeding, and then falling again. The best kind of this fic is one where they do it because it is in their nature, but come to hold a level of deep respect and love for each other regardless, or maybe because of this and because it is also in their nature, which is why The Empress, Robed in Sun is one of my all time favorite fics. And then of course my favorite favorite, because it feels as if it was written specifically to appeal to me and is my ideal fic in every way, is Power Corrupts by sweetlittlethirst.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: For Aleksander, I suppose Nikolai or Mal? For Alina, literally everybody lol. I love her with Genya and with Mal and with Zoya. She deserves to get all the love she can.

My happily ever after for them: One where Alina has more power and control in the relationship, even if it is a fluctuating and always changing thing. There are so many potential avenues this could happen, and I think any of them would be great.

Who is the big spoon/little spoon: Alina is the big spoon and Sasha is the little spoon obviously 😔

Malina

When I started shipping it if I did: Immediately!! I love Malina and I actually really liked their meadow scenes. Every scene they had together was sweet and adorable. I think I really started liking the ship when she was at the little palace on her bed and they were reaching for each other even when they were apart.

My thoughts: This ship has such a real feel to it. I love the physicality of it and I love the way it brings the reader as well as Alina down to earth. It isn't a relationship without it's faults obviously, but a lot of that is miscommunication and the fact they are both struggling to reconcile their reality with what they want for each other and their futures. And a lot of it is also how Mal struggles to understand this part of Alina that he can't really know, but that he wants to support anyway.

What makes me happy about them: Every scene they have is so adorable?? Especially in the show?! I love it when they snuggle and kiss and touch and hold handsss. I love it when Alina goes to sleep on Nikolai's ship and Mal is sitting there watching over her just reading. They're so domestic and sweet. And I love how they always come back to each other and consider each other home.

What makes me sad about them: The divide between them that I think can never really be crossed or reconciled, even after Alina loses her powers. I think there is something within her that is just so far beyond Mal's reach and it's kind of painful to think about because everything else about her can know and touch and understand. And I think it's sad too that Alina always feels as if she's dragging Mal along with her and as if he doesn't want to be with her. And it makes me sad too that he thinks all he can offer is a service and his loyalty, as if he's not more than that to her. And aldjsflksd they need to communicate moreee. GOD!!

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: OOF. Fics that say Alina liked losing her powers or that it was good for her. Fics that don't acknowledge Alina's lost powers as basically a disability that was forced on her. It was a moment where she was stripped of agency and harmed irreparably. And instead of fics capitalizing on this and having Mal help her through her grief and the adjustment into a new life they just... don't? Anyways, fics where Mal is too mean or too understanding. Fics where Alina is too mean or too nice. Fics where Mal's trauma isn't really touched on or where Alina's isn't either (excluding what if things were different studies of course). And of course fics where grisha persecution is pushed under the rug or where Alina is shamed for her desires like she is in canon. Also fics where it feels like they're putting up with each other instead of actually in love. I honestly just have a hard time finding fics I like for any of my ships in this fandom lol.

Things I look for in fanfic: Alina and Mal helping each other through their trials and their grief! Mal actually acknowledging and supporting the parts of Alina that he doesn't understand. Alina being a complicated and complex person who is not wholly perfect or bad. Them finding better ways to communicate and open up to each other as time passes. Fics where Alina is super protective of Mal, sometimes fics where she's even allowed to be possessive, because I kind of love that about her and I don't see it nearly enough. Fics where Alina's darkness isn't brushed under the rug and Mal is allowed to be a bit of a bitch.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Mal probably with Nikolai or Zoya or Aleksander. Alina with everybody XD. Aleksander or Genya or Zoya.

My happily ever after for them: Honestly? If Alina had kept her powers and still retired to live with Mal. Like that's it for me. (also perhaps immortal mal too 👀)

Malarkling

When I started shipping it if I did: "My summoner" and "My tracker." The war room scene in the show where Aleksander and Mal have insane boatloads of sexual tension.

My thoughts: They have two brainells between them but it only works when they're apart because when they're together their braincells cancel each other out.

What makes me happy about them: They both suck at killing each other. There's so much sexual tension between them. They will take any opportunity to insult each other for literally no reason. Aleksander fucking keeps Mal alive despite logic and everybody else saying he should kill him.

What makes me sad about them: I think Aleksander sees Luda in Mal, which is sad but also so interesting. I think he sees Alina and Mal's relationship and knows what's going to happen, and I think his way of viewing Mal largely comes from that. Aleksander's connection to anybody that isn't immortal is eventually going to end in their death and his grief, which is just tragic.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Not much really? When it comes to this ship there's so few that it's hard to gauge. I suppose fics where Mal or Aleksander act too out of character in terms of being mean and cruel or hating each other is kind of annoying. But that's about it.

Things I look for in fanfic: Mal being a bit of dom and Aleksander being a bit of a brat. But also Aleksander being antagonistic like a smug cat and Mal suffering for it lmfao. They're just fun.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Alina 💕. And of course the people stated before lol.

My happily ever after for them: 😭😭 I don't know I don't really think about them having a happily ever after. Mal is immortal and doesn't die would be nice tho ngl

Who is the big spoon/little spoon: MAL IS THE BIG SPOON. but sometimes Aleksander will be the big spoon just to make sure Mal is alive.

Malarklina

When I started shipping it if I did: HHHH IMMEDIATELY. But also after the war room scene in the show lets be reallll. Also again "my summoner" and "my tracker". Like why are you so obsessed with them.

My thoughts: This is the ideal dynamic because they all balance each other and both Mal and Aleksander fulfill parts of Alina's emotional needs that the other can't. I'm not even lying when I fully say that Alina's character would be at it's most fulfilled and have the chance for it's best progression if she was allowed a relationship with both Mal and Aleksander simultaneously. I think they are both Alina's soulmates in different ways. I think they both represent the different and most crucial aspects of Alina's soul.

What makes me happy about them: How Mal and Alina are both clearly attracted to Aleksander and subconsciously appreciate many of the same things about him. Never forget their conversation about being comforted by Aleksander's confidence and praise in them lmfao. Also how Aleksander clearly has an attraction to them both. Also how they both clearly bring out his competence kink ngl. He visits them both in their dreams which is freaking wild. Also Alina has such fluffy and amazing moments with the both of them. I just love all of their interactions. Also of course Aleksander fondly remembering being penetrated by Mal and Alina. It never gets old.

What makes me sad about them: The fact that Alina has to end up with only one of them canonically. The ways they all hurt each other. The fact that Mal is mortal and will eventually die.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Not much? I usually like all Malarklina fics. This fandom rules 💕. Probably just the same stuff I stated earlier, where any of them act too ooc in terms of being cruel or nice. Or any form of redemption for Aleksander and especially any attempt at redeeming him the eyes of the law and royal family that persecuted his people for centuries. But I haven't really seen any of that in the Malarklina fandom because it's amazing so 🤷🏽‍♀️

Things I look for in fanfic: Mal and Alina being more dominant than Aleksander. Them all caring about each other instead of some of them caring for each other more. I really like fics where Mal and Alina get invested in helping the grisha, and I also really like fics where Aleksander tries to support Mal and Alina in their more down to earth endeavors. Also I love fics about them where all of the differences in their relationships with each other are acknowledged. Like how Alina and Aleksander would probably act more possessive with each other. They'd be tossing around "you're mine" like it's the word of law. Whereas Alina and Mal would be more fond of the "I'm home when I'm with you" statements. Aleksander would actually be pretty fond of poetry, though, and waxing poetic, which I think Mal would appreciate more than Alina. but Alina would love having vicious morally opposed arguments with Aleksander that Mal wouldn't. Mal would probably like having arguments with Aleksander about other things, though, and he would actually probably love physically sparring with him. And Mal would love taking Alina places that Aleksander would hate, and vice versa. Like idk I just love the unique ties developed within polyamorous relationships, especially the potential between all of them.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: As stated above. Basically everybody lol.

My happily ever after for them: Immortal cottage life until they reach the modern world, and then immortal city chaos.

Disney Review Request Princess and the Frog

Requested by @themousefromfantasyland who wanted me to discuss Princess and the FRog ,the PRincess film that isnt really talked about and why it is a bit under the radar ....And yeah I wanna talk about that too .See I remember the HYPE for this film :It was Disney going back to their roots ,a princess fairy tale musical in beautiful 2D animation by Ron Clements and John Musker AKA the best directors Disney has ever had ,this was it ,this was going to bring back Disney for a modern age.....And it did fine ,not the game changer Disney was hoping for and as a result instead of bring back Disney 2D after a long hiatus,it was more of a swan song befor one last gasp in the form of Winnie the Pooh .I also saw the film in the theaters right when Disney had kind of become an obsession and for a few years it was the fave movie of my lil sibling.....Till Frozen came out .Also spoilers ahead

The plot of this 2009 film concerns a waitress named Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) who dreams of opening her own restraunt ,and meets Naveen(Bruno Campos) a selfish Prince who has been turned into a frog in a scheme by the evil Dr Facilier (Kieth David ) ,and going by the Frog Prince fairy tale ,Naveen convinces Tiana to kiss him in exchange for enough money to pay for her restraunt .....Only for her to turn into a frog as well ,and the two set off on an adventure to find a way to make them human

This is a film I wish I loved ,cause there is a lot to love .The animation is beautiful ,and everytime I watch it I get a little sad cause 2D has been completly taken over by CG ,at least in America .I like the side characters .Louis the Trumpet playing gator while not having a lot to do is brilliantly animated by Eric Goldberg and played masterfully by Michael Leon Wooley (THough I will confess ,since I found out he played Audrey II in the Broadway version of Little Shop of Horrors ,I keep expecting him to go "Feeeeeddd Meeeee" ).I ADORE Mama Odie ,a 197 year old blind voodoo priestess .She is kind of a deceptively goofy yet wise character which is an archetype I love and Jennifer Lewis gives it her all ,I had no idea the actress was only in her 50's she convinced me she was much older . I think my favorite character might be Tianas friend Charlotte ,a rich girl obsessed with marrying a prince ,she is just so energetic and funny and I love that she genuinely cares about Tiana .Ray the firefly is a character I thought I wouldnt like when the film was being advertised and I confess I dont like his design .....But he is actually the heart of the film ,Jim Cummings givers a great performance ,I love his sub plot about being in love with a star ,Evangeline ,and I remember how shocking it was that Ray DIES .At the end of the film Dr Facilier KILLS him ,and I remeber the audience gasped in the theater .Now I have seen people who either think Rays death is emotionally powerful or straight up silly ,for me....Im a big ball of emotion ,so when that second star eppears next to the wishing star meaning Ray is finally with Evangeline ......I tear up

I really love Naveen as a character ,a disinherited playboy who loves jazz and his arc and romance with Tiana is good.I also just adore the setting ,I think 1920's New Orleans is the perfect place for a 20th century fairy tale (Wish they used it better but I will get into that ).I also love the use of jazz music and speaking about the music lets talk about the songs by Randy Newman .Now I am not a big Newman fan but I think the songs are really good though some are just OK and I am gonna talk about them from my least favorite to my most favorite

8.Never Knew I needed-the obligatory end credits pop song that is good ,but I dont love it ,I kind of forgot this one existed

7.When We're Human-Sung by Tiana,Naveen and Louis Its cute but kind of meh for me

6.Gonna Take You There-Sung by Ray and his Firefly family ,its just OK

5.Down in New Orleans(All versions)-I actually really like this song ,its a good opener and closer

4.Almost There:Tianas song that is really damn good, Anika Noni Rose does a fantastic job ,I think it is also my third favorite song animation wise ....I just like three other songs better

3.Ma Belle Evangeline -One of the most underrated love songs in Disney ,I think the sequence is beautiful(One of my favorite scenes in the film honestly ) and Jim Cumming really shows off his singing skills

2.Dig A Little Deeper :Mama Odies song and its just got a good message while also be8ing a ton of fun and Jennifer Lewis just sells it .I got a weakness for Gospel style numbers

1.Friends on the Other Side-OK I have opinions that are unpopular about Doctor Facilier but I will give him this ,he has one of the BEST Villain songs in Disney .Kieth David really shows off his amazing singing skills here,the animation is perfect ,I like how it builds up to being completely insane ,its fun ,its creepy ,its just a great villain song.....With a perfect reprise ,but I'll talk about that later

I'll talk about Tiana later ,so lets go into what I think is the flaws/things I am kind of meh about/thing that almost work but dont but-...*Sigh* lets just get into it

In the meh category ....The use of celeb voices here are weird.Like usually you get a big star to play the main character or the sidekick or the villain.....But aside from getting the great character actor Kieth David to play the villain,which I get but the other three BIG STARs play supporting characters.Now I kind of get Terrance Howard and Oparah Winfrey for the parents but...I'm just gonna say it ,why is JOHN GOODMAN IN THIS FILM ??I love John Goodman ,dont get me wrong ,and yeah he is a plot point, (FAcilier wants to kill him and gain his wealth ) but he doesnt do much so I am always distracted when I hear Goodmans voice

Annnnnnddd lets get to the part that I think might get me some flack....Lets talk about my issues,AND what I like about Dr Facilier .I KNOW this guy is super beloved he is the part of the movie people REALLY like....And I'm sorry I got problems with him .I'll start with what I like :His design is great ,evoking classic DIsney villains like Captain Hook ,his villain song like I said is marvelous ,I like his evil plan to take over New Orleans and feed all the inhabitants souls to his Friends on the Other Side ,he's got menace to him,I love the fact his shadow is alive .he is played by one of my favorite actors Kieth David who delivers a phenominal vocal performance and I like that beneath his cool facade he is actually a desperate and terrified dude when it comes to his otherworldly buddies ......But while he is made of cool parts ,they emphisize his greed ,his motive is he wants money and power ......Thats boring and it doesnt really vibe with "Im going to let spirits devour New Orleans " .The other is he is more plot villain and not a good foil to the heroes . He has no connection with Tiana really ,they only have one scene together and she apparently knows who he is but thats never explained .I say to make him a better villain

1.Emphisize his back story that he was someone who used magic to fufill his desires the easy way ,and his desperation to pay off his debt is his motive

2.Have him pursue the heroes ,and tempt the heroes.

I wll say he is a fun character ,I just wish he was great .....Oh his death scene is AMAZING and TERRIFYING though, dragged to the spirit world by his own shadow as his own villain song is sung by monstrus spirits ,that was such a jaw dropping scene in the theater ,possibly my favorite Disney villain death

As for things in the I dont like section.....The film begins strong,and ends strong too.....But that middle section in the bayou is just kind of dull.Up to Ma Belle Evangiline that whole part of the film just drags ,including these three minor bad guys that dont add anything ,theres some terrible jokes ,and two of the songs dont do it for me .Humor in general is hit and miss .Oh I almost forgot ,Lawrence is one of the most forgettable villain sidekicks in Disney,I kind of forget he is in the movie

I like Tiana ,I think she is a good protagonist ,Anika Noni Rose soes a good performance ,I find her likeable and I like her romance with Naveen.

Yeah I wouldve preferred mor human Tiana,and while I like swampy settings ,I wanted more in New Orleans .

Its... on the good end of Watchable .I dont return to it a bunch it has flaws ...But its got its good stuff in it .I dunno I always go in wanting it to be better then it is

The Watch sub-series: Guards! Guards!

“Listen, if anyone ever sets fire to this city, it’s going to be me.”

OR: A drunk, a dragon and a dwarf, but somehow nothing’s quite what it seems.

Of course I’m starting with this one. Of course I am. It was an obvious choice. That bastard (affectionately) Samuel Vimes owns my heart. He’s a cynical pragmatic who’s done with the world but at the same time cares deeply about his city, he knows what it means to be poor, to scratch the bottom of the social ladder from the other side of the pavement, his job is the only meaning of his life for a long, long time until she meets a Lady who takes care of dragons for a living (and is quite obsessed with them in fact), is way taller and stronger than him and on a direct opposite of the wealthy spectrum (not that money matters to Vimes) and falls fast and hard for her (relatable. I too would ask Lady Sybil for her hand in marriage). And YET, Vimes’ character doesn’t experience a major shift, he doesn’t decide to give up on his job in Watch and focus on personal life only - no. Unlike many protagonists, Vimes proves that it’s entirely possible to hate-love your job and not abandon it while at the same time make room in your life for something more.

But I’m getting ahead of myself (forgive me, I could write essays about Vimes and Sybil and the importance of the Watch). So let's get back to the book itself:

Ankh-Morpork:

Ankh-Morpork is presented to us in a low point. It’s functioning (somehow), but things aren’t going extremely well. The Watch is a joke, a bunch of nobodies who don’t know any better summon a dragon that, for most of the book, may or may not exist, and the supposed heir to the throne is… An interesting case of a dwarf.

Carrot:

Now, having read later books, I really like Carrot, but the first book didn’t really sell him to me until the last dozen or so pages. Admittedly, he too had to try to wrangle the chaos that’s Ankh-Morpork (which makes this story a good starting point in my opinion - we can watch the city through the prism of an outsider, not that different than ourselves) but I didn’t see much of the “Where people went wrong was thinking that simple meant the same thing as stupid.” (a sentiment explored multiple times in “Men at Arms”). I suppose my main problem was that because of the book’s structure I wasn’t sure until the last moment in I should treat him like one of the main characters or an important support to Vimes’ arc.

General remarks:

The overall plot was pretty straight-forward and you could quite easily figure out where it was going, even though the strangeness of the Discworld still managed to make me raise a brow (the rats… If only they could read). The characters (always Pterry’s strength, in my humble opinion) are diverse and interesting and there’s just enough of the outer layer peeling off to get us hooked in their future development (simple watchmen who maybe are ready to risk their lives instead of pretending All’s fine, even if they do it with eyes tightly shut; the genius Patrician who always has plans B to M at ready). The magic is a tad bit confusing, but that's a given in this series and the fact that it was the first book on my reading list definitely didn't help. The Watchmen getting a swamp dragon as a pet was precious, especially the bit when Carrot bought him a rubber hippo. Not to mey it's good to see a middle-aged woman who's passionate about something and isn't a snob or a blushing mess. Sybil's friendship (?) with Nobby was especially nice, people seen by others as weirdos solidarity for the win!

Rating:

GREEN - from my experience, the first book in the series is always either a total success with later ones being unable to reach its level (this happens when the author put all their good ideas into the first book and had to scrap something together because of the tight deadline) or the first book is the weakest and the rest of the series gets increasingly better as the author gets a feel of what does and what doesn’t work. This is the second case, I believe. Guards! Guards! is a strong basis to build on, should it be other author I’d probably give it PINK, but I know what PTerry is capable of.

I have many many thoughts about Mikko/Nate/Cale with my friends but we aren't writers and you're my fav Avs writer so we have a thought. Dom!Mikko/Switch!Nate/Sub!Cale with Nate being viewed a Dom to most everyone but this dynamic he feels safe to let his sub side out and Mikko is the softest Dom that wants to make his subs happy. Nate does try and piss Mikko off by being bratty and Cale loves to please his Dom so sometimes if Nate is being to bratty Cale tries to Dom him because he doesn't want Mikko to be mad and that immediately gets Nate back into line and peace if restored.

WHAT IS YOUR OTP FOR YOUR CHARACTER(S)?

I couldn't rly pin one down. Obviously in canon, there's nothing 'official' given the nature of the game, but I do enjoy Seb/Alex and Sam/Seb. In roleplay, the ship I have had for years and thus is the most developed is mine with @xheartpages 's Mako. Especially in Sebastian's Legend of Korra verse. Those two are soulmates and are very dear to me.

That isn't to put any of my other ships down. It's just the one with the most established development. I'd say the next one down from that is Seb/Alex with @fckurselfie . Alex has been chasing that boy for literal rl years, he's a long-distance runner. Someone give him a trophy.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

I'm not big on age gaps. They just don't interest me. I'd prefer sub 10 years, at the most. The one I'm beginning with @allnostalgic 's Kisa has a seven year gap and I'd say that's around the maximum. Goes without saying, but I will not ship with any muses below 18 as well (Seb is 23).

I'd say when we shift from PG-13 to R rated writing. When things start getting explicit and it's clear what direction the thread is going. I'm happy to write smut and don't feel a need to shy away from it, but I do tag it at the very least. If anyone wanted me to do read-mores, I'd oblige.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?

Yes, very much so. I put a lot of myself into my ships. If I don't sense chemistry, I won't bite. I invest a lot of time and energy into them. I'm used to long-haul development. I become very enthused and will annoy my partner incessantly with things that remind me of them or ideas to share. I prefer a partner who's on that same wavelength, with whom I feel chemistry between muses and compatible writing styles. I must be compatible with my writing partner, as well.

So, yes, I am discerning. Which may be ironic writing a muse from a farm dating sim, but oh well, lol. If anything, that probably makes me a little more guarded. It's easy to worry I'm being approached right off the bat to be shipped with when I barely know the muse or the writer because of the nature of Seb's game.

It took a couple months for the lust to sink in and make itself known. I have been extremely vigilant about not sexualizing this person I am so close to, and to be honest until now the moments I want to indulge in were not overly sexual as they were physically intimate. It’s hard doing male puberty (which turns you into an absolute monster as far as horny goes) and being stuck in this. I’ve always been rather dark and hardcore in the fantasy I indulge in to get off, but for the past while it’s been soft and romantic thoughts and that is concerning to me.

Today the two finally crossed over each other to a much more grounded fantasy of imagining him toying with me and taking pleasure in my frustration (affectionate)- a dynamic that already permeates the rest of our friendship. It would be so easy. I do not know the nitty gritty of what all turns him on or off but I know enough stray pieces of information from over the years (information volunteered from long before my discovery of these feelings) to get a sense of the idea at least. From what I know it seems like we are puzzle pieces- especially at this stage of my transition. Especially knowing that to him a pretty face is all he needs. I think I have that, but I don’t know if it’s to his taste or if he has even really entertained whether or not I am good looking to him. Why would he? He is engaged.

There’s kinda always been stray thoughts, as a person who is purely sub being close to and trusting a person who is only dom. Oh, I wonder what that would be like, I wish I could find someone who didn’t require a switch and this is the only one I really know. Not actual fantasy but passing anxiety about not being able to find someone for me- someone like him.

It is especially weird as this experience more and more makes me understand exactly how demi I am. I have never actively wanted to see someone naked before this. I have never understood the male urge to desire nudes. The thought of indulging in another person’s body has been intimidating at best and uninteresting entirely at its usual- including 99% of the time I’ve been intimate with someone I’m dating. That’s not to say I haven’t ever enjoyed the sex, or enjoyed intimacy, but that enjoyment has almost always been detached from their bodies and more about the physical sensation I am feeling from the intercourse and the enjoyment of my body being an object of pleasure for someone else. But I do have thoughts and desires about specifically his body. I have a drive to explore someone else for what feels like the first time in my life, though perhaps I am feeling the effects of not having a partner in going on four years now.

I do not know how to process this. I do not know the ethics. I do not know what he is and is not okay with and I do not feel like I am in a position to ask without giving the whole game away. Unfortunately I am in a horrible position where I cannot tell him.

Honestly what I want more than anything is to say “This is how I feel. Please tell me you don’t feel the same so I can process all of this and move on.”

On the one hand, I don’t personally take any offense or discomfort in the idea that my friends or even my close friends would use me as spank bank material. Frankly, I would be flattered and I do enjoy being desired. I know also that him and his fiancé both trade nudes and messages outside of their relationships and compare notes. I don’t have any reason to believe that him and I wouldn’t have the same thoughts about a friend finding us sexually desirable.

On the other hand, this is not a passing interest. I wouldn’t call it an obsession at all. Most times I can click into my usual mode with my usual porn and work on my little horny narratives squarely outside of reality, but every once in a while my mood becomes squarely: I want -you-. I don’t know if indulging in those thoughts is inherently disrespectful, regardless of how broad and uncomprehensive they are. It’s always either snapshots of a hand on my skin, the idea of an embrace, or tonight simply imagining my hands are his and feeling whole and satisfied with just the beginnings of intimate touch and teasing. Wondering what he looks like and wanting very much to know. Are these things bad? Is doing anything except immediately shutting it down going to escalate things? Could entertaining the thoughts allow this to quicken this attraction to run its course and lose its luster?

I think I am a fool for believing that I have any agency in this situation at all no matter what I do.
