since we're on the topic of johto and kanto, what are some of your personal favorite places to visit in johto and kanto?
Oh boy here we go!
KANTO:
You can take a historic tour of Cameran Palace, a pretty impressive piece of architecture with rich and fascinating stories to be heard about who use to live there.
I take trips to Camomile Island from time to time for special seeds or unusual plant collections, the place is quite beautiful. Sent a young nurse that way a long time ago with a hatchling Chikorita, I hear they're doing well. We partner with Cerise Laboratory, and on occasion send pokemon to them for safe keeping and release. The facilities are impressive!
If you're into Contests, maybe take a trip to Chrysanthemum Island, they hold some interesting events there, and theres a lot of shops and markets to peruse.
If you love the hustle and bustle, try visiting Commerce City. Theres a beautiful park there, but the buildings and streets are clean and usually dotted with fascinating buskers, acts and buildings to interest any curiosity.
Leaf forest is an interesting trip, one i like to do from time to time for data and a little vacation. the whole area is littered with the same energy as leaf stones, the soil has micro-particles of it in, and the rocks are mostly radioactive like the stones. Many grass pokemon come here to evolve! a Great opportunity for photo-ops
Mossgreen Village is a personal fav, theres a lovely supply of rare and potent fungi in the forests close by, and so i take trips here to collect unusual items for any medicines i may need. Its also a great place to see variants of paras, a real treat!
Last one, Xanadu Nursery, a place of tranquility. They've managed to breed flowers with the same effect as Stun Spore. Its a place I enjoy visiting at least once every few years, to see the displays and catch up with the keepers.
HOME TOWN- JOHTO
Arborville, a treehouse based set of structures, beautiful, a real breath of fresh air, lovely people too.
Bloomingvale has the worlds most impressive display of sunflora ive ever seen, they keep eyes peeled for variants for me, i really love this place, its so charming!
Catallia city is neat, they take a fair few of our spinarak, seem to do their police force a world of good there. nice architecture!
For some historic curiosity, hit up the Colossal Tree Tribe Ruins, showing a long gone ancient civilization that was abandoned due to deforestation and drought. Its a grim reminder that we need to care for our world, but also holds fascinating glimpses into many long gone lives.
Greenfield is hailed the most beautiful location in all of Johto, so thats worth a look for sure.
As a hiker you may enjoy a trip to the Lake of Life, said to be a frequent point where Suicune shows up to care for the wild pokemon. Its super nice there in summer, the air stays oddly cool.
I really dig Rikishii Town, it has annual Sumo tournaments, an excuse to eat junk food and watch people throw each other about.
theres a lot more, but these spring to mind for any budding traveller!
