Lauren Henderson let out a faint yawn as she exited the staff changeroom, at the Hawkins public pool; pulling her oversized staff shirt over her suit and sweat shorts, before heading over to the gate to officially open up the pool, this morning.

Yes, summer in Hawkins was so hot, people would come to the pool early. 

Heck, Lauren was one of them. - She typically came out here around seven thirty, a whole hour and a half before opening time, just so she could enjoy a nice calm swim after pulling off the cover, and turning on the pumps and what not.

The girl had been working at the pool since her sophomore year, and was highly trusted by the boss. She opened most days in the summer, and honestly she didn’t hate it. She preferred to swim without an audience anyhow... given how the other high schoolers of Hawkins were. - Something that only became more vocal when a new king was crowned this year.

A new King of Hawkins High, who Lauren just so happened to be stuck working with now; since Billy Hargrove, - still considered the shiny new toy - was hired this summer.. and man, how shitty was her luck that their shifts often overlapped.

Damn Uncle Wayne raising him so well. Eddie didn't know this girl. He'd seen her in passing but that was about it. He didn't even know her name but she was alone and very obviously not sober. He couldn't be the asshole that left a girl to fend for herself. That wasn't in him. If he did that, he'd be the same kind of breed as his dad. No fucking way.

Cautiously he approached her, tapping her on the shoulder. "Not trying to scare you." He announced, knowing all too well how people reacted to him. "You doin' all right there?"
