So funny story, I had an idea for a fairy kingdom/realm a long time ago (I know real original) but I decided to revamp it after the recent CRK announcement dropped.
So now my fairy kingdom has turned into the Isle of Seasons (think Pixie Hollow minus the giant magic tree), where fairy cookies are blessed by their supposed creators, The Fae, to control anything based on seasons and weather. (they weren't created by the Witches)
And this is their current ruler:
Queen Morpho Butterfly Cookie
Despite her reserved appearance, she's well-known by her subjects as a kind, attentive, and loyal ruler. The last quality is very evident by her soul jam, which holds the Light of Loyalty.
She was not born in the Isle, having been married into the royal family, but she still holds the people near and dear to her heart even after her beloved long passed away.
She isn't seen much outside her castle, unlike her son, Monarch Butterfly Cookie. Who, much to the dismay of the people, is trickster that likes to sass and play tricks on his subjects for fun; the opposite of his own mother you can say. The person he acts the most decent around is the queen, which is both odd yet expected.
She does not hold any weapons, but if she were to battle in dire conditions, she can rely on casting spells from her hands and wings.

genuinely curious, so like mermaids or already half animal cookies do they get some birdie features?
Faeries, gem mermaids and other cookies that already share animal characteristics remain mostly the same in the au!!
I'm still debating as to wether give them certain qualities from different species of fish or insects since that would be pretty fun, but as of now they don't have many bird-like qualities compared to normal cookies in canon
#BoundToTheSkies is still pretty new so I'm debating a few things regarding animals and species#I'm thinking of taking flying fish as a basis for the mermaids#make everyone able to fly or be connected to it in a way#but I wont tweak already established cookies with animal like features#just a little bit#askbox stuff#silly au asks!!#BoundToTheSkies!AU#I'm considering moths and butterflies for the faeries#maybe a morpho butterfly for EF#he deserves to have pretty wings like everyone

Pelipper Mail! It brings in a basket containing. A couple chip bags, a container with chocolate chip cookies, and a note with a picture attached.
'so you happen to know anything about Morpho?' -Skyfire
[the picture is of not the butterfly that had been around Skyfire for so long. But literally just Morpho Knight. It's just sleeping next to what seems to be Skyfire]
//@skyfire-the-pokemon-biologist
morpho is similar to... gaster to me...
i'm afraid to utter their names, as if i said it louder and enough times...
i swear i feel them stalking me in my dreams...
thx for the cookies @skyfire-the-pokemon-biologist! i'll truely enjoy them when i start my 'road' trip!
{//COOL FACT! Void knows as much as both the kirby and UT/DR fans do about them, and the reason for nightmares related to these two and many more are still unknown too this day}

Here is Midnight. She is the oldest and shortest of my ship kids. She is very shy and timid. She doesn't like controntation and is afraid of anything and everything. She's nice to everyone and love every living thing (Still scared of everything). She loves cute animals and sweet food. She is 3' 0'' with thin and bridle bones. She loves her scarf. Wearing it makes her feel confident. She hates horror movies and doesn't like it when people try to mess with her. She's easy to mess with because she's a huge pushover. She seems to be able to sense evil. If there's a bad person in the room she knows. And she is never wrong about her assumptions. Her favorite show is My Little Pony. Her favorite character is Ocellus. She also likes Fluttershy and Marble Pie (She also really like Jeanette from the Chipmunks) Her favorite food is peanut butter cookies and her favorite drink is a vanilla milkshake. Her favorite animals is the Blue Morpho Butterfly, or the Luna Moth. She likes to read and her favorite book is Stellaluna. She has a pet mini lop rabbit named Button.
Hope you guys like her!

The Comfort Closet
Characters Used/Mentioned:
Una Autumn (Silver Y Moth Insectoid)
Opal Autumn (Silver Y Moth Insectoid)
Moonie Autumn (Silver Y Moth Insectoid)
Liatris Elmpuff (Pixie)
Giselle Crunch (Blue Morpho Butterfly Insectoid)
Juno Crunch (Monarch Butterfly Insectoid)
Nash Grung (Orc)
Ollie Meine (Blue Slime Humanoid)
Kira Oakenhoof (Centaur)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ah yes, the comfort closet. A place that would be so sacred to someone who prefers to run and hide from their problems, to someone like Una. She didn't name her old, sticker-covered wardrobe 'the comfort closet', it was actually her mother who decided on it. You see, the comfort closet was where Una would hide whenever she got upset, as the name suggests, it was a huge comfort to her to just... hide away in a dark place.
Una was a generally happy person, she felt as though her life was all smooth sailing so there were only a few times she used the comfort closet.
The first time she ran to the comfort closet was when kids at school began seeing differences in Una's family and pointed it out, rather rudely... you know, as kids do. Growing up without a father was nothing to be ashamed of and I highly doubt it was the kids' own opinion that was being spoken but all it took was one overly cruel boy to send Una running. She sat with her face buried in her knees, in the pitch-black for two hours before Opal's homemade cookies convinced her to come out.
The second time was when she lost one of her best friends, Lia Elmpuff. She and Lia were two very different people but always stayed very close until Lia became more popular and made more friends. She basically just kept ditching Una and acting borderline mean to impress her new friends until she just dropped her altogether. Una should've seen it coming but Lia was the person she made future plans with! They were going to live in a pink princess castle and have like five pet unicorns, they were going to live there with each of their princes and live happily ever after! But of course, that didn't happen. Una didn't leave the comfort closet until the next day. Not even to eat.
The third time was when she rejected a boy from her class. Una didn't want to be in a relationship (Especially not when she was ten years old) and told the boy straight. He didn't take it that well. After that embarrassing display, he made it his life's mission to make Una miserable. He would throw random things at her during lessons, he laugh at her whenever she walked by, he spread rumours about her and he would even spill food and drinks on her when he felt like it. This called for the comfort closet and also one day of running away.
The fourth time was when Giselle first overshadowed Una. Una remembered getting really into sewing, she loved being all creative and colourful with it and even though she wasn't very good at it, she adored it. Opal made sure to show her undying support for Una's hobby no matter what and she showed off her daughter's work whenever she got the chance until Giselle became interested too. Giselle was very good at sewing and her mother, Juno, showed off just how proud she was of her daughter. It would make Una's work look like one big joke! It was obvious how much everyone praised Giselle for being so talented at such a young age while all Una got was 'Oh well you did your best!'. It made her feel so bad about herself.
The fifth time was when Una realised she was never going to have her happily ever after. She would never fall in love with her knight in shining armour and she would never have that romance that she had always dreamed of. She was defeated. For such a hopeless romantic as Una was, it was a devastating conclusion to come to. She would never feel that sparkly feeling you're supposed to feel when you fall in love, she would never experience what it would be like to be in a real romantic relationship and that destroyed her.
The sixth time was when she felt as if her friends were replacing her. Nash spent way more time with his rugby teammates and Ollie became friends with Kira Oakenhoof and subconsciously ditched Una. She thought it would be fine at first, that was until a certain mean girl planted a negative thought into her brain. That was when she began seeing how she was being left behind. Her insecurities overtook her brain and she convinced herself that her friends were bored of her. It was like Lia Elmpuff all over again.
The seventh time was when everyone forgot Una's birthday. It was a real kick in the teeth because she was looking forward to this specific birthday for ages and everyone just... forgot. She didn't want to jump to conclusions like she always did so she waited. She waited for someone to say a simple 'happy birthday' but they never did. It never came. She sat in the comfort closet the entire night just munching on a cupcake she bought in The Sunny Gull for two crystals. She at least got a happy birthday text from Ollie but he wasn't there to celebrate with her. The real twist was that her family forgot because they were too busy celebrating Giselle's acceptance into Granite Lake University.
The eighth time was probably due to the most devastating of them all in Una's opinion. It was at Elk Grove's prom for final-year students. Ollie had asked Una out. He poured his heart and soul out to her and she just burst into tears because she knew she could never feel the same way about him, or anyone for that matter. She was also scared, scared that she was going to lose one of her best friends in the world over stupid feelings. Of course, Ollie was understanding but he asked Una for some time alone.
That's what got her.
She felt so horrible about it she even attempted to force herself to accept Ollie's feelings, thinking he would never want to speak to her again if she rejected him.
Not even the comfort closet could help her with this one.
Caretaker Cookie
.Blue color is inspired from the Blue Morpho Butterfly.
.She is insanely strong, strong enough to lift a car. No lore behind this she was just born this way.
.That rolling pin is for disciplining adults.
.Attacks mainly through rapid fire kicking while flying, she can also crash down hard enough to make a small crater.
.She loves all the children she cares for, teaching them love and kindness while being strict in the right moments.
.Will demolish you if you hurt the children, no child is hurt on her watch.
.Trained herself to spot the signs of abuse, even subtle ones.
.Loving and caring to not just children, she's like this with everyone but she just really loves kids.
.Wants to be a mother one day, hasn't found the right cookie for her but she's content with her Daycare.
-
Seer Cookie
.She has the ability of foresight, this ability is fucked up but she's found alternative methods like tea leaf reading and tarot cards.
.She joined the Vanilla Kingdom sometime after it was founded and is a vanilla cookie.
.One of Pure vanilla's many ministers and a trusted confidant though could never view herself as close as he was with White lily.
.Pure vanilla ended up falling for her and the two dated before getting engaged sometime before the Dark flour war.
.She evacuated citizens but before she could go back for Pure vanilla the banishing spell went down.
.After that she went into hiding, meeting Gingerbrave and co years later and joining their adventure.
.That day was traumatic for her and every anniversary she's basically dead and silent until the next day comes.
.Has a motherly care for Gingerbrave and his friends, trying to be a (much more effective) voice of reason than Wizard cookie.
.Remake of an old shiny Flareon oc.
Choco Milk Cookie
.Guess she's an alternate persona of Pocky Pudding, my two sonas never exist in the same universe.
.I've loved milk all my life and chocolate milk is my fav and I love snow so, I'm totally a milk cookie.
.Her design appeared in a dream I have, my friend @mumble-jumble-gallery made the outfit with the details I gave her, she was...scarily accurate to what I say.
.Her body doesn't break and crumble easily since milk, but that just means she takes more a beating so more pain is experienced.
.Became the Dark Cacao Kingdom's oracle but Dark Cacao is very protective of her.
.In this dream food was running low as there was a monster out there killing the hunters and warriors, Choco milk wanted to help but Dark Cacao wouldn't let her out of concern for her safety.
.Her magic is just not strong in the right ways to be offensive, but it is strong in the ways of healing.
.Uses her own foresight to help the kingdom from her room in the castle.
.My friend instantly teased about me clearly being Dark cacao's bride in the dream so we are. Like you have any right to talk girl you're also a simp!
#cookie run#cookie run kingdom#crk#cookie run oc#caretaker cookie#seer cookie#choco milk cookie#just some girls#I'm still working on how I want to draw the cookies like damn#I've been wanting to draw them with pointed ears cause that's what I imagine them with but then I'll have to redo the previous refs#so#aaaaaaa
Notes: 1-13: Officially localized in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. 2-15: Originally already written in English as “Prayer Song to God”, but a different, localized title is given in-game. 2-36: A pun on “Partizanne” and “Forgettable”. 4-07: Italian for “The Madness of Love”. 4-27: Originally written as Grass Land: Stage Select. This was a printing error and is the wrong name. 5-16: [sic]. Track name was already written in English. 5-33, 5-34, 5-35: Pointedly written as if their respective characters are saying this. In extension, likely the same case with the rest of the jingles. 5-36: More accurately, “oracles”. However, this term is localized in the game’s text as “priestesses”. 6-11: “The Deus Ex Machina [she] Witnessed in [her] Childhood” 6-28: “Allies” and “Arise” have the same pronunciation in Japanese
Many tracks are re-used from older games. I tried to find the corresponding tracks and their official, or at least heavily accepted, English names. To the best of my knowledge, Blowout Blast and TKCDX do not have prior official tracklists, so any tracks from these games, and a few other cases, are directly translated.
Several tracks are already written in English (or in one case, Italian). With the exception of 2-15, I left them as-is.
I’ve been thinking a lot about both Kingdom Hearts (if that wasn’t obvious) and His Dark Materials lately. Mainly because they’re both series that I deeply love and have helped me get through dark times in my life. So I thought “What if I gave KH characters Daemons? That’d be neat!” then I actually did it and I struggled so much with what Ven, Aqua and Terra’s daemon… I’m not fully satisfied with what they have, but I tried my hardest to give them suitable daemons that have variety and not just “everyone gets to be a dog or cat”.
I’ve chosen to do BBS’ cast rather than the full cast of ‘grown’ characters because I couldn’t nail Sora’s Daemon properly and didn’t want him left out, but I had a decent idea for what his Daemon would be as a child.
Under the cut I’ve put a more detailed explanation as to why I chose the Daemon I did if you’re interested in reading. If not, here are the animals:
Sora: Blue Morpho Butterfly
Riku: Shaggy Black cat
Kairi: Black Capped Chickadee
Venitus: Gaboon Viper
Ventus: White Rabbit
Terra: African Leopard
Aqua: Lava Gull
Of course your choice of Daemon could be different to mine, and that’s okay! These are just my ideas for them.
Here’s a more detailed explanation for each character and why I think their Daemon would take this shape over others. Please bear in mind that whilst Sora Riku and Kairi’s Daemon would primarily take these shapes, they could also shift into other animals.
Sora: I chose a Butterfly for him simply because of his carefree nature. Butterflies are seen as peaceful creatures that lull about on sunny days, flitting about in their own freedom. In deeper symbolism, Butterflies are linked with life, death and rebirth. They start off as caterpillars and are reborn as butterflies. Much like how Sora started his journey as a ‘Lazy bum’ and became a competent keyblade wielder. I chose a Blue Morpho because it fit his colour scheme more, but my next choice was the Monarch, as his theme is also kingly.
Riku: It took me a little while to figure out what animal exactly I wanted for Riku. I wanted an animal that’s often misjudged, but smart or symbolize wiseness- since even as a kid, Riku was very smart for his age. Cats are often depicted as being smart, or the wise-Alec and a bit of a trickster. Black cats are also often tied with bad luck and the occult. (Although here in the UK, black cats can seen as omens of good luck) This is all tied to the representation of the darkness that almost took Riku over. If I were to do an older series (if I ever figure out Sora’s Daemon), Riku will have a Crow or Raven, as- like black cats, they are very smart and are considered bad omens, plus it would be a slap in the face to share a Daemon’s likeness to someone you’ve come to resent.
Kairi: I felt that Kairi’s Daemon should be simple. If I were to draw her with a settled Daemon, then she would have a white dove- a symbol for purity and peace. However, because she is young, I felt her Daemon ought to be small and happy. Chickadees are often linked with happiness, fearlessness and friendship, something I think that Kairi represents.
Vanitus: His Daemon is the Gaboon Viper- the fastest striking snake in the world and the snake with the largest venom-to-bite ratio. However, I didn’t see his Daemon as a snake because “duh, he’s the back guy, he’s gotta have a deadly animal!” No, I didn’t choose a snake for him because of that, especially since Gaboon vipers are not very aggressive and will try to flee rather than bite unless absolutely necessary. Given Vanitus’ history with Xehanort, I’d say that his Daemon settled as a Gaboon Viper simply so she could protect him, she was pushed into that form because of the amount of abuse and pain he endured. What was his daemon before? Who knows, maybe because he’s Ven’s darkness his daemon was also a rabbit, but it looked too meek in Xehanort’s eyes.
Ventus: Like Kairi, I wanted something light hearted for Ven. I chose a rabbit because Ven has more energy, but is also cautious. White, again is a symbol for purity and innocence, and Ven has no darkness within him. What his daemon would be before his darkness was extracted, I’m not entirely sure.
Terra: I’m going to say it, Terra is not the smartest cookie when it comes to making decisions or trusting people. His heart and intentions are in the right place, but… his sense is elsewhere. Then, why did I chose a Leopard for Terra? Well- Leopards are known for their strength and independence- something Terra sought after to the point it opened his heart to darkness. That and I’m not sure what else to give him; I wanted a large and strong animal that didn’t work with others too well, and landed on Leopard.
Aqua: The Lava Gull was more of an aesthetic thing at first before I looked into them a bit more. Gulls are actually seen as good luck symbols for sailors, especially those lost out at sea. Gulls in general symbolize the calmness of the sea along with the resistance to battle out a storm. And I’d say Aqua is pretty calm and went through a whole deal throughout the series. Lava Gulls especially are opportunists, and never miss a chance to do something. I link this with Aqua, because I see her as very resourceful and can see an opportunity if one arises.
You made it this far! Well done! Here’s a little extra I have, that I haven’t drawn yet but have written down so I don’t forget:
Xehanort: Verata goat (His theme is very goat heavy. His symbol is a goat, he wears a goat suit and his duplicates wear goat masks). Eraqus: Silver fox (“you sly fox”. Silver for aesthetics)
Lea/Axel: Lioness. (I found a post that described Lea and Isa as the Alchemical symbols for the sun and moon. I meant to read all of it, but didn’t and can’t find it. A Lioness suits him though as lions in general are associated with fire and the sun)
Xion: Kauiai O’o. (an extinct bird that only lives through taxidermy, illustrations and a single recording of its voice. I don’t need to say more)
Ienzo/Zexion: Chinese Water Deer/Vampire Deer. (I see him as a very Deer-y person. Plus the fact that people with a Vampire Deer as a Daemon are often said to have higher senses, it suits him more than most)
And that’s what I have figured out at the moment. I’m not sure what the Daemons would be for any other character. I’m trying to figure out Isa right now so I can draw him and Lea together, but if I go with the Alchemical theory thing, then Isa’s daemon would be a bat… and I can’t see him as a bat… I see him having some kind of mustelid.
