I have this problem where I cannot trust my heart when making decisions

And so every fiber of my being screams one thing, and every person in my life screams an opposing idea I am still so in love with him. I want him in my life. I want to look into his eyes, because I miss him And I could get what I want easily So I am denying my heart what it wants, and I feel shame when I think about the decisions I am inclined to make

I have all these big ideas about what love could be, but reality keeps getting in the way I have to break down my brain and build up from the rubble This is what I have resolved That I must change the parts of me that love this way, for my own good I'll never be happy following my heart as it is It's just depressing I thought I knew what love was about, but maybe I was wrong
