Alright hear me out, I'm a huge fan of fantasy beings, occults, anything like that. But any -taurs (centaurs, deertaurs etc.) are my second favourites.

So when I saw this Centaur Preset + Poses by @theserenadeofshadows I thought I'm going to explode from happiness. It got even better when I remembered about @morningstarequestrian sharing tray files of a certain horse - Nemain. I instantly knew what I have to do.

So here we have this amazing beauty. I am so proud of him, even though I felt like going crazy while creating him and taking pictures of him.

Sending all the love to the creators of CC, thanks to them we have this angry cutie.

A side note for myself: I need to listen to my instinct more often. Fuse hair by @azeterna was my first pick for this Sim but no, I had to "browse more" and "look for perhaps better fitting hairstyle". Now look at me, after 30 minutes of struggling I've decided that Fuse hairstyle was the best one in this case. First thoughts are always the best, remember.

Solo Horse And Rider

Nine poses for a solo rider and horse, plus all-in-ones. There are some issues with clipping reins (when using posed versions) and floating feet - please see details beneath cut!

These poses have been annoying me for months lmao. I made them last year but ran into a couple of issues: at the time, all-in-one horse and rider poses posed out of alignment when placed off-lot with TOOL, and I also couldn't stop the reins from clipping in game (they are posed, and don't clip in Blender). I specifically wanted poses with reins because I have a hard time drawing them in, as I only have a mouse.

My off-lot bug seems to have been solved, and although I still haven't figured out why the reins are slightly off in game, I figured it probably doesn't matter: in the time Horse Ranch has been out, I've noticed most people draw reins in themselves.

I adjusted them slightly to work with the gorgeous new medieval saddle and stirrups by @morningstarequestrian , since that's what I'd be using my poses with, but although the rider's feet are resting on the stirrups in Blender, in game they hover. I don't know why and by this point I don't care enough to find out LMAO.

I've kept the original placement of the rider's hands and the reins on the horse rig, so you can use it with the LeiaMaria bridle for posed (but occasionally clipping) reins, or with any other bridle and draw the reins in yourself. In medieval art, most horses are shown to have two reins (one decorated, one 'normal') so I think using it with Morningstar's Medieval Bridle like this works fine (I would have drawn reins in myself if I wasn't lazy). The poses work with EA saddles, but I don't have other CC saddles-with-stirrups so can't say if the placement is off for others.

Royal Horses

@morningstarequestrian's new Baroque Tack Set is absolutely perfect for tacking up the horses from my story save. (which I've been neglecting for the past year+) (Other pieces are from the Medieval Tack Set or the Medieval Round Bridle. The first outfits are from @objuct's Traditional Arabian Set, plus one of my recolors of that set.)

The first two outfits are something I could see being like, a parade outfit, at least for Alena. (Kristopher wouldn't be involved in any parades back in Oryn, I just wanted to test out all my cc.) Especially the version with the tassels isn't practical for just recreational riding, but it certainly looks nice for a parade, and does resemble parade-type outfits.

Alena's 2nd-3rd outfits and Phillip's 2nd-4th outfits are just more general-purpose riding. Two different saddles each and a few different saddle pads for Phillip.

Phillip's 5th outfit and Alena's 4th and 5th are potentially more of long-distance setups. Maybe like some kind of tour, where Fallon would be riding for long distances, but still want to look formal / be seen by people. (Again, not really something Kristopher and Phillip would have been doing, but it looked good on him and I wanted to test stuff out.) Alena has a second variation because technically white isn't one of Anvia's royal colors, but black is, so if it was a public event, she might tack in black. Especially as that would show less wear and dirt than the white for long travel.

The last pic is a blanket for Phillip because it gets cold in Oryn, especially in the winter and late fall/early spring. Alena doesn't really need a blanket most of the time, since Anvia's winters are much milder. (They don't often get snow, and when they do it's rarely more than an inch or two at a time.)

Everyone, meet Rachel, Rhea, Crater, and Epona!

Rachel owns Crater, a grey OTTB. They compete in eventing and all forms of showing. Rachel is a huge metal, punk and rock fan and enjoys making her own songs. Crater is an energetic 7 year old gelding.

Rhea owns Epona, a liver chestnut tobiano shire x american paint horse. They both enjoy trail riding. Rhea is an artist and loves Fleetwood Mac. Epona is a completely bombproof 15 year old mare.

I love recreating my characters from other games in this silly sims game. This time I recreated my Minecraft skin into the Sims4 world, and brought my favourite horse Shadow with me. In my head, Shadow is a baroque breed - not sure which one, but I definitely had some Friesian leanings with the colour and leg feathering, but I did use a Knabstrupper template for the body shape. Perhaps he's a crossbreed, who knows, but at very least I say he's baroque. That's the beauty of recreating a Minecraft horse, they don't exactly have a distinct breed to base them on, so they could be anything you like. The saddle and bridle from @morningstarequestrian are probably my favourite part of this at the moment (The mane, forelock, tail and draft leg feathers are from them too). Poses by @herecirmsims : Horse and Rider (posepack #111) Ofcourse, thankyou to all cc creators that I used custom content from to make this.

Has to be one of my favourite horses so far. Just a basic dark bay using lots of mods, some of them being:

And more but it's hard to remember the origin of everything. I don't have this one up on my gallery because it's a really basic coat underneath just the coat cc (on the fur layer/option) makes it look amazing.

I've created several versions of these, and I must say my hair meshing skills have really improved along the way! The wavy tail matches my wavy mane, which you can find here. I've also included all the swatches from the wavy tail to the luscious tail, so everything pairs with the mane.

Both tails also work with @walnuthillcc's wonderful tail slider, which can be found here. I highly recommend using it to customize the tails to your liking!
