history !

daniela grew up in a large and boisterious lower middle class family. she is the youngest of five siblings and the only girl ( that’s right four older brothers ! ) her mom was a prenatal nurse and the local hospital and worked long hours while her dad managed a few different grocery stores in the area, they weren’t necessarily poor but with five kids sometimes they struggled to make ends meet and give them all a comfortable life. 

her parents were always the type to push the value of hard work on their children, they didn’t want them to struggle to make ends meet. so they preached good grades and good work ethic to each of them.

being the youngest and only girl dani was babied most of her life. she was practically raised by her older brother each of which had a certain soft spot for their sister. 

while on the outside she probably came off as the girliest girl growing up always wanting to wear pink and sparkles she knew how to get down and dirty with the best of them. she spent a lot of time watching and playing with her brothers. girl can take hit lbr. 

up to high school dani just kind of floated through life. she had friends, she only tried hard i school to please her parents, etc. but, she was always that girl that saw the beauty in everything and kinda had her head in clouds. 

when graduation came around girl really had no idea what to do. she knew her parents wanted her to go to college and get some kind of financially stable career but for airy dani that just didn’t sound like what she wanted to do. 

but being the people pleaser she was she went off to a local state college and majored in business. 

it was around this time that she started her instagram account and started posting lots of fashion and beauty shots of her along with aesthetic pictures. honestly has the most poppin gram ever. 

it wasn’t long into her freshman year did dani realize how miserable she was in college, she hated her classes and didn’t have much friends. of course, at this time her instagram was booming widely growing larger and larger each day. 

after being approached by a few modeling comapnies in vancover via instagram she made a quick impulsive decision that college wasn’t for her. she dropped out, packed her bags and moved to the city and into the apartment complex. 

her parents know about her choice but do not support her so they refuse to be in contact with her directly electing to send messages through her brothers who she talks to via facetime from time to time. she hates that she hurt her parents like that but she is much happier.

she works at a local diner as a way to supplement her income while she’s still trying to make it big in the modeling world.

personality !

dani is an airhead, let’s put that out their first and foremost. lots of things go right over her head.

honestly sticky sweet when you first meet her and will talk your ear off

can be super impulsive and just drop everything and go on a trip. pretty likely to forget to text back because she got distracted.

she is that person who is ALWAYS in a happy mood and rarely lets anyone see her true emotions, electing to put on the happy and airy face she is known for.

BACKGROUND

maxon was born and raised in miami, florida where he grew up surrounded by his single mother as well as his little brother. his father had left him at young age but his uncle and grandpa were his father figures.

his mother worked as an accountant and eventually met another man through her line of work. a few years later, the pair got married.

at an early age, he had developed a passion for music and dance. his mother enrolled him into both singing and dance lessons at the ripe age of three or four years old. 

he didn’t have a problem talking to others or making friends in school but once he reached high school, he didn’t really care about anything besides his studies as well as his passions.

he always had a hard time, opening up to others because he didn’t like feeling vulnerable and was always scared of things being used against him. it was such a big deal to him when he did feel comfortable enough to trust / open up to someone and once he did, he gave them his all and would do anything for them.

once he graduated high school, he got accepted to go to a school of arts in vancouver, canada where he is now located.

PERSONALITY

˗ˏˋ ✧ liz gillies • 23 • female . look ! it’s crystal "chris" macquillian from apartment 4C ! apparently , she moved into moreau apartments eight months ago and are a photographer & waitress. rumor has it, they can be quite hands-off — good thing they’re also laidback, hey ? i hear they’re known as the laissez-faire of the building . ⎡ cj, 20, est, she/they ⎦

crystal macquillian unlike the prestigious tone of her name was born quite literally on the open road -- and maybe that’s exactly where the tone for her entire life was set.

she grew up in keremeos, bc, skating by on charm and minimal effort. you’d be more likely seeing her having a good time on the trails, out at night, than doing schoolwork. being confined wasn’t something she took kindly to.

after high school, she took a gap year to backpack through new zealand and visit sweden and norway and all those cliches to “find herself” and well... she never was quite the same after that. she fell in love with ceaseless movement, not knowing what was coming next, and having the freedom to chose what came next. much to her parents’ disappointment but begrudging support at the same time, she took her college allowance, refurbished the inside of a van with the help of some friends, and picked up a nomadic lifestyle.

she criss-crossed north america for almost another two years in her van, taking photos, blogging, crashing on couches in friends’ houses and cashing in favors when she needed. she lived on a minimal budget, but eventually the money in her account got low and at age twenty-one, she realized maybe she should start figuring out what the hell she was going to do with her life. or at least, what she was going to do next.

it was more luck and the weird turn of the earth that pointed her in a direction. she ended up in prince albert on a friend’s couch. it was a couple nights watching their friend’s younger brother playing for the raiders, a few good shots on her canon, and she had a new path to follow.

she spent time learning the game, learning to anticipate what was next, the next shot, the next greatest THING. it was breathtaking, in some ways --- just the energy of it all : not knowing quite what was coming NEXT.

life is ALL about connections, and while chris hadn’t gone to school, didn’t have academic connections persay ; what she did have was a network of friends spread around the entire globe. and so, somehow, with talent pushed forward with a few nudges from friends and choice conversations. she lucked her way into photography passes at NHL games, and finally, finally landed a position with the vancouver canucks photography team at the beginning of the 18-19 season.

she doesn’t make all that much --- not with a head photographer as talented as the one the canucks have, but she’s learning and she’s content. chris has a job as a waitress to help pick up the slack and does freelance work as well. moving from her van to an apartment was a shock to say the least, but she’s finally getting accustomed to it. she still has her van, of course ; she’s been saving to fix replace the brakes on it.

in pretty much all facets of her life, she goes by chris mac. she thinks that crystal macquillian sounds like the posh daughter of a millionaire and honestly,,, that’s so not her. she’s also relatively entertained when she’s hired for freelance work and they expect a guy to show up.

laissez-faire honestly describes chris to a t. if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. she is the epitome of chill, laidback, and adaptable ; doesn’t let much phase her at all. a true neutral, she also goes wherever and does whatever she feels like in the moment and has a very ‘hands-off’ attitude. because of how laidback she is, she can come across as if she doesn’t care or isn’t trying and it’s gotten her fired from a few jobs.

she’s the kinda person that’s flightly ; the type where you’re friends but you might not hear from her in three months and then get a postcard in the mail because she has all her friends’ addresses memorized. 

she’s been in a few relationships but nothing’s that’s ever lasted because they’ve all yearned for some sort of long term commitment or grew tired of her nomadic ways ; definitely more the one night stand kinda gal. while she was still on the move she would sent her ex’s postcards too ( probably ended them all ‘wish you were here xoxoxo’ ).

she can sing ( duh ). on the move she would probably pick up gigs in cafes and bars that would have her to make a little extra cash on the spot.

biography!

tessa chu was born on october 29th 1996 to jinwoo and helena chu in portland oregon. her parents were decently wealthy, her father having inherited a chain of nail salons in the midwest. her parents ended up taking over the portland location after her grand father passed. tessa grew up in the salon, and regulars could always find her behind the counter coloring.

when tessa was seven, her mother became pregnant with her younger sister, tiffany. tessa had always wanted a sibling. she felt like she was always meant to be an older sister, and she was very protective of her little sister.

growing up tessa’s parents kept putting her in after school activities. rather it was piano, panting or gymnastics she was very active (even if she was horrible at the piano). she was always running around, and gymnastics seemed to be her favorite. 

when she turned eight her parents started noticing her lack of appetite and she was always feeling sluggish. when she started to rapidly loosing weight and coming down with a fever often, her parents brought her in to the doctor. after some tests she was diagnosed with lukemia. from that point on, tessa spent a lot of her childhood at the hospital. at the age of ten, she went into remission.

when tessa turned nineteen, well into her remission, she started attending University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. her parents had always wanted her to have a better life, and they were very proud when she took their advice and went for pre law.

during her second year of college, her parents and little sister drove to the campus to attend a football game. after the game, tessa and her family decided to out to dinner. on their way to a restaurant downtown, a car struck her parents car and tessa’s parents and little sister were killed upon impact. tessa was the only survivor. 

four months later tessa woke up in a hospital room. when she learned about the accident, she broke down. she quit school, no longer wanting to be a lawyer if her parents weren’t there to be proud of her. she inherited a pretty penny, and quickly sold her childhood home, and left the resturant business to a few of her cousins.

it didn’t take tessa long to want to leave the country. she had no ties there anymore. no friends or family in portland, and even the thought of michigan left her with a pain in her heart that just didn’t seem to ease up.

so she moved to vancouver. for a while she hopped from hotel to hotel, until she started to once again lose weight. she knew deep down what it was. the cancer was back. so she knew she had to settle down.

 moreau was a blessing, and with all of her experience with nails, she started to see clients in her apartment. she still has plenty of money from her inheritance, and she’s doing pretty well for herself.

during her most recent relapse, tessa has since decided not to go through chemo for a second time. 

personality!

little smarty pants. tessa is extremely smart, but she’s not a dick about it. she doesn’t feel the need to be loud about it. unless you try to make her look stupid. it’s really not a good idea.

she’s! so! sarcastic! oh my god, she always has a sarcastic comment on the tip of her tongue, and sometimes her mouth moves faster then her brain. but i mean, don’t expect her to apologize if you were being a moron. 

gurl is perpetually stoned. rather its recreational, or to help with the pain. there is always a steady stream of smoke coming from her apartment, and shes pretty chill when it comes to sharing.

tessa takes loyalty very very seriously. if you gain her trust, and you break it? you’re done.  if not? you have a friend for life. tessa is willing to do whatever it takes to protect the ones she loves, because she couldn’t do the same for her parents and sister.

so her parents separated when noah was quite young but they remained close friends and business partners of the campground they purchased and renovated in their 20s

willa remained in their cozy home in keremeos to primarily raise noah and handle the financial end of things while antonio permanently moved onto the campground as a year-round mangager

noah visited her father practically ever other weekend, mastering the wilderness and reenacting snow white scenes 

there is honestly no big sob story here. she had a wonderful childhood filled with chasing butterflies, jumping in leaf piles, cuddling with her pets, and laughing with her parents

keremeos will always be her home, but by the time she was 20, noah yearned to escape the confines of her small town. her wanderlust was an itch that no amount of trips to the mountains could scratch, so she set her sights on something bigger: europe

with the help of her parents, noah saved up for the trip of a lifetime, which she embarked on shortly before her 21st birthday and didn’t return from for many months

though she ventured all across the european countryside, much of her trip was spent in italy as she reconnected with her roots and fell in love with the country, particularly florence and pisa

she paid her dues working in a small italian cafe in florence owned by an adorable old woman that reminded her of her own grandmother, and noah made italy her home for many weeks, only returning home due to missing her parents and a dwindling bank account

vancouver became her home shortly after her 22nd birthday, a handful of months after she returned from europe. after experiencing the foreign continent’s beauty, keremeos felt small and stifling to her. the small town held no feeling of intrigue or adventure anymore so she made the big move to vancouver in the hopes of finding something more

the big city held a sort of vibrance for her, having visited a handful of times with her mother for big shopping trips and weekend getaways, and somehow the small town girl melted into the big city easily

she moved into moreau apartments upon finding a listing in the newspaper and honestly has never been happier

due to her absolute inability to sit still and be bored, noah works 3 jobs in vancouver : waitress, dog walker, and pole dance instructor

waitress : she serves in an adorable, cozy local restaurant down granville street close to the apartment building, mostly working morning or late night shifts

dog walker : to fuel her love for animals, noah’s gained a reputation in the neighbourhood as one of the most reliable dog walkers. you can often catch her with a small herd of hounds at any time of day, handling the tangling leashes like a pro

pole dance instructor : she found a studio shortly after her move to vancouver, wanting a physical and creative outlet for herself. she fell in love with pole dancing after going outside of her comfort zone and mastered the skill quickly, promptly bringing the owner to offer her a part time job instructing a beginner’s class on the weekends

aesthetics : freshly picked peaches. crisp mountain air. old denim ripped and stained from wild adventures. perfectly painted nails. thriving house plants. the scent of fresh coffee and sweet lotion. journals inked with stories and rhymes. rose gold jewelry. caramel waves blowing in the wind. hazy rooms and endless laughter.

notable traits : passionate, possessive, adventurous, charming, optimistic, honest, naive, self-indulgent, reckless

best described as a freshly blossomed rose, grown in the canadian wilderness and weathered by the elements, with blushing petals beautiful enough to draw you in and thorns sharp enough to protect herself.

willa and antonio raised their daughter to have a strong head on her shoulders. their independence, wild hearts, and honesty passed down to noah easily. she’s certainly her father’s daughter in terms of her curiosity, need for adventure, and determination, but her mother shines through noah’s feminist independence, brutal honesty, and passion for creativity.

in terms of how noah’s young experiences changed her constant state of wonderment as a child, she’s definitely grown tougher and carries herself with an obvious sense of responsibility to protect herself. she likes to believe the walls she’s built to protect herself while exploring a foreign country stand strong and tall, but she often falls prey to charming smiles, trusting words, and careful eyes — it’s something she’s constantly working on, always chastising herself whenever she falls too easily

at first sight, she’s a small girl with a big mouth. her personality purposefully magnified to hide the fact that she’s afraid of getting attached. her sailor’s mouth is a surprise to most, along with her openness with her sexuality and honesty when it comes to just about anything she has a strong opinion on ( feminism, equal rights, lgbtq+ issues, animal cruelty, etC )

but for better or for worse, noah generally prides herself for having hardly a care in the world. many of her days just go with the flow and she’s not worried about her future — the future is today, as she likes to say to convince her friends to join her on one of her many adventures

one of the greatest friends one could ask for because of her strong loyalty, charming smile, generosity, and taste for adventure ( it also helps that, thanks to her green thumb, this one grows the best weed in moreau ajklsh ) she distracts others from developing too much curiosity about her own story by being an incredibly good listener and shoulder to cry on

tl;dr : small town girl from the mountains, raised by two loving, separate parents, who found her freedom and passion for life in europe before moving to vancouver to keep that spark alive. works 3 jobs to keep herself busy and because she just can’t make her mind on what she wants to do ( waitress, dog walker, pole dancing instructor ) she will fight anyone who crosses her or her friends, much to the surprise of most, and genuinely tries to find the best in everyone. 

first things that come to mind when thinking of noah : peaches, house plants ( wink wink ) , fluffy dogs and purring cats, creamy iced coffee, leather bound journals, and a lust for adventure.
