My Redragon Rudra (K565R) Full Size Mechanical Keyboard Review (w/ my Paper Dolls) - Part 3 [Jan 19, 2022]
Hello. This is Part 3 of my Redragon Rudra (K565R) Full Size Mechanical Keyboard 🔴🐲⌨️ review (with my Paper dolls).⌨️😁 My first ever owned gaming mechanical keyboard!
And in this part, I’ll be doing comparison with my two existing keyboards, along side with my current keyboard & see they’re differences, as well as little more information about keyboards. Plus I’ll show you more pics for my Redragon Rudra in my 4th part.
If you haven’t seen my two previous parts of the same topic, then I’ll provide some links down below.↓

BTW: I’m at different room, because my parents are sleeping in living room. Yeah, we don’t have our own privacy personal room in our house, and we’ll work hard to earn a profit for fixing our new home. I’m not sure how long, but we’ll try as we can.
So without further ado, let’s get started:
1st & 2nd Image(s) ↑↓:

• [1st & 2nd Images] In these photos are the comparison with my two old keyboards (A4Tech KRS-85 & Silvertec SCKM-E111) & the below is my Redragon Rudra keyboard. My paper dolls say that they’re look the same, but they’re shapes are quite different. Indeed, let me explain.😊
• Keyboards are coming in “shapes” & “sizes” 🔷, like things around you’ve seen (e.g. cellphones, cars, etc…). And like other things, keyboards had their unique looks based on their custom mods, but I’ll be sticking with their common ones rather than unique ones. And also sizes rather than shapes.
• In the mechanical keyboard world there are six different types of mechanical keyboard sizes. Let’s bring down the ff. ↓:

○ ⌨️ Full Size" layout keyboards: They are now universally common in the computer keyboard world, including their own. Which is what you seen in 1st & 2nd photos, right now. 100% layout from “ESC” button on the left side to numpad on the right side.
○ ⌨️ TKL / Tenkeyless: A type of keyboard without numpad. It has more space than “Full Size”, and it became popular for the mechanical keyboard market, to this day.
○ ⌨️ 75% Layout: Another TKL variant, but with no separated bezel keycaps. You’ve seen a lot on laptops, and now it’s on mechanical keyboards. Plus, more space on the desk than normal TKL keyboards.
○ ⌨️ 65% Layout: A layout mechanical keyboard with no F-keys, and they’re rely on keycap shortcuts. It’s also more spacious & perfect for portability on-the-go.
○ ⌨️ 60% Layout: A layout mechanical keyboard with no F-keys & arrow keys, and like 65% layout they’re rely on keycap shortcuts. Also more spacious & perfect for portability on-the-go, as well.
○ ⌨️ 40% Layout: The smallest size of the bunch, and it has no number keycaps, etc. Only but alphabets, arrow keys, and other special keycap buttons. Also more spacious & perfect for portability on-the-go, as well.

• Here are more photos in comparison. My old A4tech KRS-85 had the most longest length compare to my other keyboards. And sadly, some of the keycap buttons from the aforementioned A4tech PS/2 keyboard won’t work at all, due to aging & usage. It has been 8 years of using this cool keyboard, and this year you’ll be 9th year. But, looks like your days are over, and I could’ve done without you, my A4tech Keyboard.

• Here are their back comparison. My former used Silvertec’s wireless keyboard doesn’t have built-in kick stand, because it already has kick stand that slapped on. I tried better snapshot as I can, so my apologize for the lack of quality.

• They’re now sandwiched together 🥪 instead of separated (I think). In terms of length between my Silvertec wireless & Redragon mechanical keyboard are quite the same. Well, sort of, but a bit margin I guess. Again, I tried to get quality as I can, and If I have a better smartphone with better MP (megapixel) than my Honor 8C, then it’ll be satisfied. Looks like I’ll be searching the latest smartphone soon. Or maybe a digital camera, so I’ll think about it.📷📲 • In terms of weight, I actually measured them with two different scales. And here are the results:⚖️ ○ A4Tech KRS-85 PS/2 Keyboard| Weights: 0.55 kgs / 554 grams / 19.5 oz ○ Silvertec SCKM-E111 Wireless Keyboard| Weights: 0.45kgs / 460 grams / 16.2 oz ○ Redragon Rudra K565R Mechanical Keyboard| Weights: 0.95 kgs / 958 grams / 33.8 oz NOTE: Though converting kgs to grams & oz are not accurate & not matched. Just saying. • Of the three, my Silvertec wireless keyboard is the lightest followed by old A4Tech PS/2 keyboard, and the heaviest is my Redragon Mechanical Keyboard. So why is my Redragon mechanical keyboard have heft? Because it housing a metal inside instead of light plastic quality. Plus, it has water-proof (aside from dust-proof) 💦& extend lifespan use than normal membrane keyboards. Sure there’s my silvertec had spray-proof, but my Redragon Mechanical Keyboard had far exceed expectations (as well as other Mechanical Keyboard brands).
Overall:
• This is a good comparison. 🙂👍 And this is like showing evolution of my keyboard usage; from my PS/2 wired keyboard, to wireless keyboard from USB dongle, and now my first ever mechanical keyboard. Looks like I won’t throw my old PS/2 keyboard, because this is my prized possession & my relic keyboard. I wish I want to fix my old keyboard to restore keycap button’s functionality, but I can’t. Because it’s history, and that’s a good thing.😊⌨️
