So, my fellow self-publishing folks, one of the bigger sites being used to train chatbots is Scribd. I’m thisclose to taking all my books down from there, because I did not consent to this.

Remember them being the pipeline to ebook theft? Remember the whole Inktera/Page Foundry bowdlerization thing? I have difficulty seeing Scribd as any kind of an innocent actor here.

ETA: Guess who else has been feeding the chatbots without creatives' consent! Patreon and Kickstarter.

So that's fun.
