Me: (shows her Nendo Ginsan picking his nose) She: aawww, cuuute. ¡Se está sacando los moquitos! (He's picking his little boogers. sort of. we love our diminutives in Spanish. There was a post about vampirito or some diminutive like that sometime ago)

Thing is... I've never thought about Ginsan's mocos as moquitos (boogers as little boogers), like... is this something motherhood does to you brain? Do you begin to think about everything in... cutie words? I don't know if i should call it baby talk...

I guess I'll never know.

' si terminas resfriándote tú, me enojaré. ¿lo sabes? ' se presiona los extremos de las mangas contra las mejillas, ese lugar expuesto donde siente que más necesita calor. como sea, en ningún momento pretendió ensombrecer el ambiente... sólo quería bromear, hacerse el tonto y olvidarse un poco de esa misión que les hacía dar mil y un vueltas sin el éxito que querían. ahora tenía que admitirlo: había elegido mal el tema. o el enfoque del mismo, porque todo lo que ha conseguido es poner ¿triste? al otro y eso era algo inadmisible-- ¡imperdonable! pero la disculpa no logra abandonar el borde de sus labios. un ruido emitido desde el mar de sombras que dejan atrás le hace girar la cabeza con rapidez. " mi abuela decía que cuando te agarras esos catarros, te tienes que abrigar bien" ahí se lo acomodó, quedándole curiosamente a la medida; después de todo, tenían una estatura similar. después de ajustarlo, le dejó un par de palmaditas en los hombros y volvió a la postura anterior, manos sujetas y todo. el avanzar se dio pausado, incluso si la pregunta que recibió lo tomó desprevenido, y el posible frío que pudo sentir se desvaneció de su rostro para dar paso a una tonalidad más carmín. " ¿eh...?" desconcertado por lo que obviamente era una broma, volvió a refunfuñar. " ya estás con esas preguntas " luego, miró en otra dirección. " si fueras un fantasma... sería..." dudó. "¿triste?" ¿era esa la emoción correcta? no sabía como plantearlo. " porque ellos..." hizo una pausa, y entonces, exhaló. " ellos desaparecen " de pronto, el ambiente se volvió peculiar, como si mao-mao mismo lo hubiese vuelto deprimente. fue un sonido repentino lo que interrumpió, lo suficiente como para que diese un saltito del susto y se aferrase del contrario, cerrando los ojos. Isopod Update - 12/9/24

Hey all. Been about a month since my last update, and been busy. I've been deploying mosqutio bits in my bins in an attempt to curb the fungus gnat invasion. I've been using a tablespoon of bits for 2 cups of distilled water, let the bits soak overnight in the water, strain the bits out and then water the pods with it. (Need to make a fresh batch every time since it does not save). Also been taping sticky traps inside the lids of the enclosures and tried to seal up the Magic Potion enclosure with mesh as best I could (recall, I keep the Potions in a converted aquarium, so it didn't have mesh to prevent gnats). It's not perfect, gnats still escape into my room sometimes, but I got myself a bug zapper which deals with the gnats a lot better than the Katchy seems to.

It's been 2 weeks of using the moquito bits and endless sticky traps. I think it's finally starting to dent the population of gnats, at least I hope so. Things got really out of control in the Potion enclosure.

I've also been in the process of transferring the Potions to a new enclosure, the new acrylic bins. This is because I want to have them in an enclosure that will prevent future infestations. I mentioned in my last post somebody was sending me custom vents for my bins. Unfortunately they did not fit because they were for a different bin size, the person didn't realize I had a larger size. So I just hot-glued some mesh over the holes myself. Then I set up the enclosure, seeded it with springtails, and started to transfer pods slowly to it. I've just been putting food out, waiting until pods gather on it, then moving the whole bunch gathered on food by grabbing the leaf the food is sitting on. The difficult part is trying not to get any gnats along with them. At first I accidentally transferred a few gnats, to my great dismay. I've been more careful lately, by putting the pods in a small container and examining them all carefully for gnats and then dumping them into the new enclosure.

Despite moving a lot of them, there's still plenty of pods left in the aquarium. Including some terribly teeny mancae. I'm starting to suspect somebody had more babies besides the initial 2 litters of mancae I had. I have a LOT of Potions, more than I even realized.

The new acrylic bin seems good, they seem to like it in there. A few weeks ago I went on a walk and foraged for a small amount of leaves for my pods. It's the first time I've attempted to do so. Most of the parks near me are small ones that I'm worried might spray pesticides. But on this trip I went to a larger park in the woods, so gathering there should be much safer. I rinsed the leaves off and baked them briefly (15 minutes) in the oven. I'm still nervous about pesticides but I'm nervous about everything, lol. I gave them one leaf from the foraging I did and the acorn tops. All seems well so far. They love to play inside the acorn tops. It's adorable. I continue to watch the new bin for gnats and water it with mosquito bits for preventative reasons. I'm still not positive if the lid for these bins fits snugly enough to prevent gnats. I have small books sitting on top of the lid just in case, since it presses it down a little more and closes the very small gap between the lid and bins.

The mancae still are alive in the Marble enclosure, I see them eating peas on occasion. I'd like to eventually move them to an acrylic bin too, just so I can see them better. I bought some smaller bins fitted with custom vents, but I'm not sure if they'll work-- the lids on these bins are pretty garbo. Maybe if I find clips that will work for it, but I've been searching a while now for clips and nothing has worked to my satisfaction so far. So I'll probably just use the larger bins I have.

Stm anon here. Again with a whole essay.Its been a while,huh?Its mostly water,but I tried properly deliver my feelings (that nobody asked for) :3

I can't put my thoughts into something comrehensable rn,but I have a very bad feelings about Skibidi toilet getting a movie. I just don't think everything HAS TO BE made into a movie for it to be treated seriously.

I'm also concerned about how would other people percive it. I know I've said that cringe is dead,(it still is)I don't wanna repeat myself(I probably do) but it's just so tiring to see people treating the thing that you genuanly enjoy like its ''THE WORST THING EVER CREATED ITS BRAINROT OUR GENERATION IS DOOMED!!!!1111!!!!!'' as if they didn't had worse(Come on,didnt Youtube had straith up GORE and other bad stuff for unsupervised kids to see?). I bet its gonna be hated,called brainrot wheather movie gonna be actually good or not,you know,as usual :/

.What I want to say is that I don't want this series to recieve even more hate that it aIready does. I doubt they want to make the movie to have skibidi toilet treated seriously, it doesn't need to be. I think they're just going with the trendy thing or hopefully want to explore making a very goofy action movie. who knows. but dafuq being involved keeps me positive that it won't be ridiculously bad lel

the skibidi toilet movie sounds as fake as the fnaf movie, and that one did end up happening so what the heck. why not? might as well

the main difference I see happening is a divide between fans that watched the OG series first, or the movie first. and possible disagreements on canon or something. basically "book vs movie" debate

I don't think the movie is a bad idea! some people are gonna hate The Popular Thing™ no matter what just because lots of people are talking about it

hello my dear anon....... tbh i could do better 😭 sorry for the mini rant but: i'm super stressed about uni, tomorrow i have the last exam for the summer and i failed the last two (🙃) so september is gonna be super busy with uni exams, my back hurts, the summer heat is killing me (it's currently 34°C here and i dont have AC HELP), my sleep is shit lately (mostly bc heat and moquitoes tbh), i need to find a way to learn latin AND french within the next year, and i'm so busy it's been so long i had the time to properly write some fics BUT I MISS WRITING!!!

a good side is that after tomorrow i'll have a bit of free time so i can focus on all the fics i have in mind (including the next chapter of my azure moon fic lmao)!!!
