I managed to finish this just before my drawing pad and laptop died sjsjjsjsjsj and genuinely I'm proud!! First time drawing a mer-person!! And honestly I could've put more jewelry on him but I like him just having a semi-normal amount of jewelry.

He's definitely not used to singing OR being a merman but he's not half bad at either. He gets the hang of swimming and he's decent at singing!

But really, he just wants to have fun. He could care less about winning. He just wants to have fun away from RSA!

hiiiiiiiii so ik you do speech and debate and i was hoping for a little help. I just need general tips for sounding more confident when speaking in front of people. I have an oral presentation in 2 weeks (its on the effects of consumerism). My teacher is for the most part only grading on whether it's over 2 minutes and if we are confident, and comfortable with our topic, making eye contact, etc. I generally end up talking too fast. Any tips would be appreciated!!!

Also sorry for sending you multiple asks in such a short time (I sent the ask about the sit roll under a toss)

Speech is a bit different from giving a presentation, but i think the main things to focus on for both are

Being fully or mostly memorized (practice in the shower!)

eye contact!!! when i judge novice competitions this is like the main thing that makes or breaks a speech

always talk slower than you think you need to (best way to practice is record yourself giving the presentation then watch it or have a friend watch it)

practice presenting in front of people you are comfortable with first so you get used to it

if you’re feeling comfortable with the speech, try adding hand gestures to emphasize important parts (I mostly do Interp events but I can ask some of my Public Address friends for gesture ideas)

just don’t overthink it! you’re going to do great no matter what :)

I know we once said that Sakura & Sugishita on a double date would be too stressful for us BUT do you think there’s a date activity that could work for us 4 without ending in absolute madness? 😈

I’m giggling at the idea of asking Sakura and we have to go through a list of potential options ahead of time before we even plan anything. 😜

Honestly, I think mini golf would be tons of fun!! It lets everyone be a little silly and competitive. And then we can get ice cream afterwards! Even though they’d be trying to one up each other, I ultimately think they’d find they enjoyed each other’s company (much to their dismay lmao).

And Sakura is gushing about how good you are for Sugishita afterwards! He thinks you make him tolerable and easier to be around. 😂😂 He really enjoys your company, too and is already asking when we can hang out again (that he’d put up with Sugi, too cause maybe he was being too dramatic about it all).
