i was thinking about a hypothetical au where jayce and viktor don't disappear after the season 2 finale for funsies and like. first off viktor's definitely getting arrested but also. i think you'd have to talk jayce down for at least 10 minutes before he let that happen and he'd insist on having a full trial for him and representing him in court. and it would go HORRIFICALLY badly. jayce has a limited skill set, a dangerous amount of unearned confidence, and such an overwhelming capacity for forgiveness especially for viktor that it would blind him completely and he'd probably end up getting thrown in jail too somehow. and it would be so fucking funny

he'd be like your honor i believe i deserve to share the blame for this because i used a device we created through illegal experimentation to revive viktor against his will. and they'd be like what the fuck are you talking about and viktor would be gesturing at him to shut the fuck up immediately but it's too late. jayce talis, man of progress has never shut the fuck up when he should ever in his life. and he'd start yapping about shimmer and the hexcore and somehow he lets it slip that sky died when viktor was using the hexcore on his body and it's all over. they would both go to jail and i genuinely believe that

in my head i'm isekaiing jayvik into every other series just to see how they would fare. witch hat atelier would be perfect because i'm 100% sure that thanks to worldbuilding they would be the most accommodated. dungeon meshi i can imagine them reading about the monsters and going to pubs to chat with the other races and asking about magic, how the dungeon works etc., maybe trying monster cuisine because of laios' kingdom. ace attorney... dawg they're getting arrested.

when you're in a fic wip competition and your opponent is me. abbott elementary inspired jayvik teachers au, complete with mockumentary cuts! the sixth-graders he's in charge of are going to eat him alive

god i love the vi and jayce hunk duo so bad.

while others are painting jayce as an idiot the moment he's with vi, i personally think vi is the funniest person on earth to jayce and it's not that he becomes stupid, but he literally cannot think anymore because he lost all his breath from laughing so much. the kind where you calm down and all it takes is one second of eye contact to start cackling again. it doesn't help that vi will refer back to the joke again like 20 minutes later and jayce starts laughing just as hard again.

she's the type to keep showing jayce funny posts she found while jayce is trying to do an assignment. he wants to continue with his work so bad but vi keeps going "wait no seriously you have to see this post just one more" and it unfortunately does makes him laugh every. single. time. and this derails into jayce talking about something related and they keep yapping and yapping until jayce realises he completely neglected his assignment.

he looks back at his laptop and jolts up because he only has 2/24 questions solved even though it's due in about an hour. the pure panic on his face sends vi into another laughing fit of her own which unfortunately. makes jayce laugh again. but he's trying so hard to focus and hold back his laughter that he has to physically remove himself from her vicinity. he finishes the assignment in 30 minutes, the genius he is, but when he looks back he's so shocked to see that all that joking around with vi lasted 3 hours. a literal academic threat to him.

it's not that vi and jayce won't be able to make an airplane out of coconuts and leaves, but vi is going to be so funny about it that jayce will never get around to actually building it.

bonus: when they get high together vi becomes 1000x funnier than she already is to him and jayce laughs so much he's literally suffocating from not being able to inhale. he's falling off the couch, chest in absolute pain, and his jaw hurts so bad but he's balls to the wall zooted and you know what. THE JOKE WASN'T EVEN THAT FUNNY. vi has been so much funnier but the zaza got his ass.
