I deleted my instagram after all those 7 years because instagram fell off so badly. they got terrible redesigns, they removed the recent posts feature in hashtags (this is bad for new artists and niche fandoms) and it’s so reels-centric.. the new UI has made it so unusable for me

Just to like add onto this because @lintherubbishbin and I were just talking about this, BUT

Like I just want you to imagine. Miles. In ballet.

There's always at least one dancer who could be lifted, but they're not considered "skilled" enough. (Read: skinny enough.)

I used to be one of those dancers, by virtue of These Thighs. And This Ass.

Just a little too big, about 20-40 pounds off of the yeetable dancers.

Chubby girls never get lifted. What's more is that in ballet, "chubby" is lich rally just.... 20-40 pounds of muscle sometimes...

But it isn't always. Sometimes it's fat that can't be danced off.

For me, it was a mixture of fat and straight muscle that I couldn't get rid of, and now I'm imagining Miles going "!!" when time comes in the choreography for lifts. Cause like, there's probably more than one lifter in his class or company. He lives in a city, he's probably not going through ~I am the only guy/person with upper body strength~ like we did in my podunk ballet school.

So. The time arrives. They're rehearsing, he needs a partner. And he's like 👀 who wants to be my partner? Cause he's not just gonna point into the crowd without say-so from the other dancer. The director's like "why not tiffany? You dance well with her!" And he's gonna be polite. Mumble something like "I want something different, if that's okay..."

And in the back of the crowd, he sees that dancer who always gets picked for no-partner roles. Side roles and mother figures.

And Miles, being a highly intelligent young man, knows what's up. Walks straight across the rehearsal space and right up to that dancer and says "hey, wanna be my partner?"

And this dancer's like "um. Uhhhhh. Miles? You... shouldn't be able to lift me. I'm twice your size."

(Either that's an exaggeration, or straight up truth, you decide. I prefer truth.)

And he goes, because he's not just gonna pick them up without permission, he's a nice young man, "wanna try?"

And they're like 👀 "............sure!"

So. Effortlessly. He just. Puts an arm around their shoulders, stoops down a bit to support their knees, and picks them up. Bounces them once a bit to get a better grip, and they giggle. He grins.

They agree to be his partner for that rehearsal, and every. Other. Lifter. In that company. Is put to shame.

The only thing more beautiful than a chubby/fat person in ballet is a chubby/fat person IN BALLET LIFTS.

And a lifter who's not afraid to try.

Instead of making up shitty racist headcanons about Miles shoplifting join me in headcanoning him picking up ballet because he thought Gwen being a ballerina was super neat and it would help him in his spiderman job
