“Kelp!” A quick greeting is all Maki gets before Toge appears in front of her. Upside-down. Hanging by his legs from a tree branch overhead. He’s close enough to touch, and that’s exactly what he does, giving her a peck on the nose before he hauls himself back up onto the branch. He perches up there, soft huffs of laughter coming from him, feeling safely out of Maki’s immediate reach.

She'd been about her business in the morning, setting out to train as part of her usual routine. Today's task: to rotate through a variety of weapons on the variety dummies still available to them. Strike after strike, and she halts doused in sweat under the beating sun of nearing afternoon.

Maybe a break's in order. Retreating her sword to her side, Makin sets of the shade and wipes her brow unceremoniously. Seemingly out of nowhere, Toge drops to a quick greeting. She only has enough time to pause, rolling her eyes to him before he drops to peck her nose. Maki staggers a step backwards, eyes crossing in confusion as her cheeks burn red.

She's absolutely disgusting and he's being sweet to her anyway?

“ Where did you even come from?! ” Maki demands as he sneaks his way up the tree once again. A wise decision. She might've wrangled those answers out of them if given the opportunity. Turning her back to him, she returns her attention to the training field only peering her eyes to him so her face might hold out of view. “ At least wait until I'm cleaned up and decent next time... ” She mutters just below earshot.

"It's no intrusion at all," the doctor assured. Despite Chongyun's intermittent visits to Bubu Pharmacy, the young man seemed rigid in Baizhu's company. He hoped that they would eventually be able to converse comfortably on both sides, but in the meantime, he did what he could to make Chongyun feel welcomed.

Even if this visit was to be a bit unusual.

Patiently, Baizhu waited for him to reveal the purpose of his visit. When a tiny bird was brought out from behind his back, the doctor had no chance to get a word in before—

"A bird?" Changsheng observed from where she was draped across his shoulders. "Perhapsss the young exorcist has mistaken the clinic for a veterinary practice."

"Now, Changsheng," Baizhu chided. Unhesitating, he rounded the counter and bent down to inspect the poor little creature cradled in gentle hands. "Chongyun is right: even the smallest life is one worth saving."

Baizhu felt her coils heave with a sigh. "Ssso long as you don't expect me to have any expertissse."

"I'm afraid I'm no expert, either," he admitted with a brief glance up at Chongyun, "but I'll do what I can. Has it been conscious or moved at all since you found it?"

"Please excuse the intrusion." Chongyun is quick to duck his head in apology, although he lacks some of his usual extra formality as his hands are currently behind his back instead of clasped before him. Although the young exorcist is a semi-frequent visitor to the pharmacy and thus on decent terms with Baizhu, he cannot bring himself to speak in too familiar a tone to one as esteemed as the doctor.

Even if Chongyun is coming here to beg aid of a less than usual sort.

The exorcist averts his gaze to the ground. "I know your medicine is meant for people but I wasn't certain who else I could ask. You see, while I was out training, I came across... something."

Said something is revealed then as Chongyun finally removes his hands from behind his back. Cradled in his palms and held out toward Baizhu, is a small finch. The bird's feathers are in disarray, its breathing rapid and shallow, one wing tucked tight to its side while the other droops uselessly across Chongyun's fingers. The boy's eyes are bright with concern as he stares down at the bird, with a spark of hope visible once he looks back up to Baizhu. "I couldn't leave it there by itself. Even if it's a small life, it's still a life, isn't it? Can it still be helped? Please?"

          IT wasn’t uncommon for Sidon to be pulled away with the stream durning a nap. What WAS uncommon was for the place he woke up in to be so... STRANGE. He knew what was downstream and this was NOT downstream from where he fell asleep. The Zora pulled himself out of the water, shaking a bit of sluggishness off. Eyes IMMEDIATELY landed on a rather large building, the feeling he got from it being rather unsettling. 

          STILL, something was drawing him to it and he soon found himself up on the doorstep. The Zora hesitated for a moment before pushing the door inwards. Immediately, his eyes landed on the form of a small Hylian. Concern shot through him as he bolted in with no further regards for himself. 

          “ Young one !! Can you hear me ?? Wake up !! ”
