I've been working on a Lee Jordan/George Weasley fic this week:

George can’t even get out of the house, but Lee brings the outside world inside the Burrow, with news of Reconstruction Committees and War Orphan Foundations. With news of Ron running the joke shop. Something breaks in George’s heart when he thinks about the shop, it’s another little part of his ventricles getting chipped off by grief.

It takes him a while to realise Fred is not going to come back. It hurts so much to realise he won’t even get the company of his brother’s ghost. He can’t even find the words to tell Lee how heartbroken he is over it, but Lee seems to understand, because he wraps his arms around George’s back and pulls him closer, without a word.

The nights are so long, because at least during the day people come and go. His brothers and his sister, in and out of the house, then his parents’ friends and distant relatives, all coming to check on how they’re doing, bringing yarn for Molly or broken Muggle appliances for Arthur. 

The only person who brings things for George is Lee, and it’s always food.

hello, everyone! I haven’t done a follow forever in a few years, so after being inspired by similar posts, I decided to do one for 2019. it was a great year on here for me: I found a spectacularly nice and extremely talented community with ‘The Goldfinch’ and all the heartache (THE ABSOLUTE HEARTACHE) that novel/movie inspired for us, several mutuals were kind enough to share the personal GoFundMe I started after I lost my job in June (THANK YOU), my continuous thirst for Chris Evans was inundated by a white sweater, the press for that scary clown movie, “DO YOU FEEL HELD BY HIM?” and so much more. 

just want to say a thank you to everyone who makes my dashboard so interesting and fun to continuously scroll through, seriously though, I’ll close the current tab I’m in and instantly open a new one to see what’s new - it’s a problem... here’s to new content in 2020! y’all are BEAUTIFUL! 🥂✨
