When Ko kicked open the door with her foot, eyes closed and hand buried in his hair, she dared not to think about the ramifications of all of this.

It was like a dream. Like she was still in her fantasies, like the last 3 years had never occurred. But it was wrong, of course, to act like the last 3 years had never occurred, because it meant that everything between them was fine and dandy, and it really, really wasn’t. 

But Ko didn’t want to think about that right now.

Konohamaru watched her discard her shoes with awake, blue eyes and though they had had to drink and definitely had too much to drink, she felt like he was studying her from their sockets. As if he too was thinking too much when he was really trying not to think at all. 

They were such a mess.

And it was all her fault, Ko knew this. She’d known it every moment of the last two years that Konohamaru had been gone, when she walked the streets of Konoha aimlessly and alone, when her only solace were meetings with Naruto, Tsunade, Akami or Yuuta. Resentment against herself would often turn into resentment against him. How dare he leave her alone in this place?

The good news of being outed as the traitor 3 years ago was that Naruto had no issues voicing for her and making sure that her prison time was as little as possible, the bad news was that she was now outed as the traitor, and Konohamaru knew too, then, and he too knew that she had used him.

Before he left the village, they brawled like children, hitting each other in the face, because saying what they really felt was too hard, for Ko especially. But he had known, she didn’t need to tell him that this was all more than just a mission, which is why he left in the first place. One day he was gone, travelling, and it was like he was telling her “You will never know what you want, so I’m done.”

It wasn’t the spying that upset him, though that probably still was a disappointment, it was that she could not be honest with such things. But in her own defence, Ko was never tired of explaining to anyone who talked to her about the subject, she had never had to feel these things, so how should she know?

Now he was back and not even two days later they were here in his apartment. She had tried to avoid him, she really had, but he unfortunately got along well with Hanabi who was casually dating Yuuta and so running into each other was inevitable. 

Though maybe ending up here wasn’t. But they still had.

They really were such a mess. Disgusting.

Konohamaru walked ahead into the apartment, his scarf flying behind him as he moved. Ko suddenly vividly remembered the first time he had draped her with it. The first winter they’d spent together she had felt a little light headed in the morning after they had spent the night. “Take this, so you wont get cold”, he had said with a smile and it had made her sick. If he had been a terrible person this whole thing could have been much easier.

She followed on his heels, saying nothing as he took a beer out of the fridge and passed it to her. It seemed like neither of them dared to speak, as if speaking would break the little dream-like state that had brought both of them here. As if speaking would remind them of the reality they were in.

Ko opened the beer with a nod and drank it on one breath. She pushed away the thoughts that were already in her mind, the little teases about his travels that were at the tip of her tongue. Someone needed to shut her mouth quickly so she wasn’t going to break the careful barrier they had erected between each other.

As if he had heard her thoughts Konohamaru, who had just drank his beer on one breath exactly as she had, leaned closer to her and kissed her again. That was at least one way to get her to shut up. She let it happen, moved closer towards him and slotted herself against him in this way that felt so new and yet so nostalgic at the same time.

She found his jacket and opened it, running her fingers along the zipper at the front. Ko had done that so many times that she could do it without even opening one of her eyes. He shuddered a little once she touched the skin below it, but he did not move away from her face, instead he found the belt of her skirt and opened it up.

Ko could feel her heart hammer against her chest. She felt good. It was good to be here again, to have his hands run over her hips again, so hear his breath hitch. It really made up for the past two years of her lonely fantasising. 

Her hands wandered up to the scarf, ready to take it off him, when he suddenly stopped. She let the fabric of his scarf go and leaned back. “Hm?” she made, trying to ask what was wrong without speaking and ruining the moment.

Konohamaru took a step back, bringing distance between them that made Ko feel a little dejected, and grabbed her shoulders. What was up with him? She looked directly at him, feeling the goosebumps on her skin at the intense look in his eyes. Maybe he had started overthinking? Ko tried to brace herself for the possibility of being kicked out of his apartment.

But Konohamaru didn’ throw her out of the apartment. 

Instead, he hugged her.

Ko let out a little squeak when he suddenly pulled her in close so tightly that for a moment she lost her breath. She didn’t know what to do or say, so she just stood there like a puppet, hands hanging on both her sides like they had been forgotten.

For a moment they remained like this. Ko feeling tickles from where Konohamaru was breathing into her neck. Eventually he spoke up, which happened so unexpectedly that Ko almost squeaked again.

“I’m sorry,” he said into the hair around her neck. “I’m sorry, I couldn’t help myself.”

She blinked: “For- for what?”

He didn’t move out of the hug, but he did angle his face a little so they could look at each other. His blue eyes looked much less intense now, in fact, they were so soft that it made Ko feel like she was going to get sick again. “I know I shouldn’t talk,” he murmured. “Because it will end this moment. I’m sorry.”

“What? Why would you think that?” Ko answered quickly and then tried to look as if she hadn’t had the exact same thought just minutes ago. “Nothing is ruined.” She leaned forward to kiss him again, but he moved his head away so she only met his forehead.

“I’m sorry, I just want to remain like this for a moment,” he murmured, now talking into her hair again. “We can go back to sleepwalking in a moment. I want to be here for now.”

All of this really would be so much easier if he was a bad person. Or a person Ko despised. Or a person that hated her. But Sarutobi Konohamaru was just a nice guy and Ko hated him for that and didn’t hate him for it at the same time.

“I know, I shouldn’t,” he continued, “but I missed you.” He was grabbing her even tighter. “Despite it all … I missed you.”

She had also missed him. Obviously, considering he had been the only topic she had talked about in the last two years. Still, these words were harder to say with her own mouth, so she just hummed in reply. She hated that in all this time she still hadn’t been able to figure herself out. She almost expected Konohamaru to comment on it, but he was merciful.

Instead, she took the arms that had been hanging limp on her site and wrapped them around him too, pushing both of them even closer together. She involuntarily let out a sigh of relief once she laid her head onto his shoulder too. It was incredible how well they could fit into one another, considering that Ko had way too much hair.

Love really was too complicated. Ko wished she’d never come to Konoha.

And at the same time she was grateful that Konohamaru had been the one introduced to her first.

How long they remained like this she did not know, but when he finally lifted his head to kiss her again, her arms felt stiff, but her heart felt full.

[week 4] Prague to Paradise

Ahoj everyone!

Welcome back to my blog where we have officially passed the halfway point of our Engineering in Prague program! I am currently on a 10 hour train ride through the alps back to Prague from this week’s weekend trip, so shockingly this blog may come out on time! 

Let’s get right into it with a little bit about my classes from this week. On Monday we had a midterm for my Engineering Statistics class which was a bit difficult but hopefully we did well? I also had a quick midterm for my Cross Cultural Management class which was very straightforward, followed by a trip to the European Parliament experience in Prague. This was a really interesting experience where we learned about how the EU parliament works to pass legislation and even participated in a simulated activity where we played certain countries and parties in the EU and attempted to pass certain laws. It was a really eye opening experience and showed us a bit more insight into European politics. Closing out the class week, I had my final for my Cross Cultural Management class and officially finished up with that course for the summer. I highly recommend this course if you are interested in learning about different cultures, interactions, anthropology, sociology, psychology, and international business. 

Now for this weekend trip, this was the trip I was most looking forward to and it was to Lake Bled, Slovenia. I was initially planning this as a solo trip but was able to convince a friend to come with me on this journey. We woke up bright and early Thursday morning and began our 10 hours of train rides to this hidden gem. Shockingly, we made it to the final train station without any issues despite us having 4 transfers and there being an international cellular data outage while we were traveling (gotta love Verizon). When we arrived at the station in Lake Bled, there was a massive thunderstorm where we couldn’t walk to our hostel and with the lack of service we were a bit stuck. Fortunately, we met two Finnish girls who were able to call a taxi and offered to split it with us (shoutout Moona and Heela). Upon arriving at our hostel, the rain finally cleared up and there was a double rainbow which honestly set the tone for this trip. 

Friday morning, I had booked a white water rafting tour for us where we ventured through one of the most beautiful rivers in the world surrounded by insane nature. Our Slovenian guides were super knowledgeable and let us swim in the freezing yet refreshing water. It was definitely one of the coolest experiences I've ever had! We even saw a bunch of horses afterwards which were so adorable too! 

For the rest of the day we explored the town surrounding Lake Bled. We took a traditional Pletna boat to Bled Island and then hiked up to Bled Castle for some of the most insane views of the lake and mountains. Up on the castle we had a local Slovenian wine tasting and discovered a traditional printing shop. We also stumbled upon a wedding on the top of the castle which was pretty interesting to see ahaha. 

On Saturday we woke up super early and went to the alpine coaster which was a bit sketchy but really fun with some amazing views of the lake. After that we had the brilliant idea of renting mountain bikes to go to Vintgar Gorge. The ride there was so so difficult because it was basically entirely uphill directly in the sun. However once we arrived at the gorge, it was completely worth it. We were required to wear helmets as we ventured through the rocky terrain and were met with some of the most breathtaking rapids, waterfalls, and canyons. We then hiked back to the start of the gorge which was about two miles through the mountains with some insane views. Thankfully the bike ride back was much more enjoyable going downhill lol. To finish off the night, we watched the Germany vs Denmark Euro Cup match in our hostel’s pub.

On Sunday morning, we began our trek back to Prague and are currently on our final 6 hour train traveling through the Austrian alps. Moving into next week, I’ll have some friends visiting for a few days before a bunch of us head to Barcelona for the weekend! Thank you so much for reading and I’ll see y’all next week!

how was your Europe trip? Wanna tell us some highlights? Also that review of fc&c you posted are literally my feelings, the whole goddamn thing is honestly perfect and a full on dopamine shot of heaven

First of all, thank you so much!! That means so much to me.

My Europe trip was amaaazing. This was the first time I've ever travelled like this with my friends. We went in a group of 6, which immediately made it so much fun on its own, regardless of where we were or what we did. People plan trips like this for months and ours was so last minute, a lot of it happened on the fly. But it was amazing, 6 girls living and travelling together, waking up and getting ready and going out together every day was so much fun.

We started with 2 days in London which was absolutely not enough, I've wanted to go to London forever. It felt surreal to see things I wrote about in person! This was probably our hardest city just because it was the first one and it rained constantly while we were there which was a bummer, but we had so much fun. Almost got hit by a car multiple times, the drivers in London are aggressive LOL. I think of all the places I went, this is the city I'd go back to first because I feel like I missed out on a lot here and I have so much left to see. I love really fast paced, busy places like London and New York but I think London is much prettier than New York. I really loved it.

Then we did 3 days in Paris. This was my absolute favourite stop on the trip, I almost wish we did it last so we could have ended with what was the highlight for me. The people in Paris were immediately so friendly. Maybe it was because we were a group of 6 girls and we were just constantly so happy that we put people around us in a good mood, but everyone was just so nice. We did some toursity things like going up the Eiffel Tower, but we also spent a lot of time exploring local areas and just talking to people. I'm trying to learn French so attempting to communicate in Paris was so much fun and I feel like everyone really appreciated that we tried to speak the language with them. Also people kept calling me beautiful LOOL so that was nice. But it's true that people there are a lot more open about like admiring you and making compliments than in North America, it was strange. Sometimes it was a fine line between funny and creepy, I don't know how much of that was normal lol. It was just a gorgeous place with really amazing people and such a lively but somehow relaxed vibe.

The rest of our trip was Italy. We flew from Paris to Milan (for $48???? we had Uber rides more expensive than that, Europe is wild). We didn't spend time in Milan, just stopped over to see the Duomo, which was worth it because it's spectacular and pictures really don't do the architecture and art in these places justice. Then we took a train to Verona and spent the afternoon and the night there. That was a perfect stop, it's very small so a half day was enough. It's a lot less toursity so we got a bit of a more local, quiet experience there, it was so nice.

Then we did a day in Venice. I think a full day in Venice is enough to just see the place, it's small so you can walk the whole island in a day. But an extra day there would have been nice to really experience the vibe, plus we lost some time because of train issues too so I didn't get to go to Murano or Burano like I wanted, which was disappointing. Venice is beautiful and such a feat of both natural beauty AND human ingenuity, it's really incredible. But it's also super crowded with tourists, even in October. It's literally more tourists than locals at any given moment. Also there's no wheels on the island at all! Not even bikes! That was cool. We met this cute guy at a restaurant and on a whim I gave him my number for fun (we literally had 1 day in his city what was the point) but then he kept texting me the entire time we were in Italy, which was hilarious to my friends.

After Venice, we had 3 days in Florence. Florence is so chill and fun. There's so much beautiful art and architecture here, so much history. It felt surreal being there. Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci's hood!! My friends aren't all that into art and on a trip with a group of 6 museums aren't the best use of time anyways but we still went to the Uffizi which was amazing, I saw so much incredible art in person. We also did a day trip to Pisa to see the leaning tower, it's a cute little place too and that tower is hella crooked. I'm a civil/structural engineer so I was like !!! ??? and I find it hilarious and so very Italian that after constructing two levels, one half of this building started to sink into the ground and they just... kept building? They were like eh, if it falls it falls??? Florence is really small so I think 2 days there would have been enough even with the Pisa trip. Our third day was just relaxed exploring and chilling in the city which was nice, but if we'd planned for it better, I would have liked to use that day to explore the Tuscan country side (which is what I reccomend anyone do with a third day in Florence). Or we could have added that day to London. But it was a gorgeous and charming city and I'm happy we got to experience a full relaxed day there.

Our last stop was Rome. We did 4 days there, which was good because at this point we were honestly so worn out that trying to see everything quickly and move to another place would have made me cry. We originally planned to do a night in Sorrento to see the Amalfi Coast and that would have been nice, but I'm glad we didn't. We had such a fun time in Rome. It had all the incredible art and architecture and obviously SO much history, which I LOVED, but where I found Florence a bit too small and relaxed for me (in terms of like, if I'd live there) Rome had a lot more of the big city feel, obviously since it is a big city. I think I'd love living there, it's such a perfect mix of everything I love. There's such a cool mix of old and new there. There's SO much to see in Rome, it's impossible to see it all in a few days. So we decided on a few key places to see and spent the rest of our time just exploring and taking in the vibe (that was the theme of our trip lol) and it was just. So beautiful and so much fun. The Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill was my favourite "tourist" destination on the whole trip, it was incredible. We went into random churches and every single one is just so gorgeous, and we heard that some of them have altars and artwork by people like Michelangelo and Caravaggio, so you can accidentally stumble upon their work, which is wild and amazing. From Rome we took a day trip to Capri, which was amazing. It was sooo beautiful. A half day there was obviously not enough to fully experience the island, but it was a gorgeous place to see and somewhere I plan to return to in the future.

So yeah!! That was my trip. It was incredible, enriching, fulfilling, surreal, etc. etc. I saw and experienced so much. Thanks for letting me ramble about it!

Today I made an enchanted forest. Our vegetable beds aren’t currently in use so I decided to use them for my Schleich figurines.

They got a pond made out of duckweed and some moss patches to cross the pond.

They also have the option to cross the pond with this little chestnut shell 🌰 and stick and some cupules to protect themselves against the sun.

Then there is a chestnut pit and a bridge to travel across.

In the background you can see the woods and here you can see all of it in one picture.

Finnja tried out the boat although she had to do it a bit differently due to her posture.

Muna (Moona) preferred the moss patches.

Freyja explored the woods as did Ruby and Rollo.

Johanna had some fun with the chestnut pit.

While Ruth was just happy to be involved.

[Chapter 5: Racing to the Star](finale)

As a While at The Traveller's Hub, all people go out after the Concert is finished. But anyway, the team seems to worry about the others when they will come back.

"Why are they taking so long? Must be getting far away from here.", said Sprixie.

"I hope they'll be okay.", as Zak worries about it.

Moona came to the team and asked, "Hello! Umm.. are you guys worried about something??"

"Well, unfortunately we should be waiting for the split team to come here in hours. That's because the Amulet has been stolen by a weird parrot.", said Sprixie as she's bit angry.

As Slinker sees a mountain far from The Traveller's Hub, he notices something wrong about it. Then, he walks away directly to the mountain, but Tanza grabs his hand.

"Where did you think you're going, Cousin?" Tanza asked.

"I've seen something wrong about that mountain.. something off with me." Slinker looks a bit down.

"Slinker, I-"

As the stomps noises came along far away from the Traveller's Hub. Everyone was surprised at the silhouettes that looked like a big Yeti. But not just a big Yeti, it's a gigantic Snow figure who comes to the Traveller's Hub. As soon as the Mysterious Pirate looking shows up on top of the Snow Figure. The known Sea Creature loves being an Evil Pirate and being such a greedy man, Jemmes Star.

"HAHAHAHA! Hello, fellow Travellers. I am here to ruin your little party, and.. your Precious Golds are gonna be mine." as he grins.

"Sorry to interrupt you. But, who exactly are you?" Moona begins to get confused.

"Oh, ME?? Well, the name's Captain Jemmes Star! And I'm here to hijinks all of your places!! Starting with the Precious Star on top of that sweet Tree. Sorry for your Star, but it's mine NO-"

"We won't let you take this Star! This ain't yours, Cap'n!" Said Zak stood in front of the Christmas Tree.

"Yeah, this Star belongs to every nice person in the warm heart of light. But yours has a heart of cold!" As Sprixie shows up beside Zak.

Everyone stands for the Christmas Tree for the Light within their warm heart. But, Jemmes seems doesn't care about it.

"Pfft! Who cares about the stupid Tree. I'll let my snowman DESTROY YO-"

"Cap'n'!! I think we have a problem!" His minions alarm him.

"Ugh.. What are you talking about?!? I'm trying to finish my speech!!"

"Uu-umm, well.." They hand him a telescope.

Jemmes Star takes a look closer at someone riding a ski with a horse right directly to him and his Snow figure.

"Eh.. just someone who comes to- wait.. that can't be!"

As he really sees closer is actually Goob and his Team comes to stop Jemmes. Even, he recognizes Oozer as feeling mad about it.

"Oh, that little boy and that pesky fries boy. Well, how about I could do this.." Jemmes starts to take an order to his Snow figure.

"Snowy boy, I have one mission just for you.. DESTROY THOSE LITTLE BOY AND HIS FRIENDS!!"

The Snow figure starts roaring and runs at Goob's Team. But got distracted by Sprixie.

"Hey, you! Come and catch me!~" as she flies around the Snow figure. The Snow figure tries to catch her while Goob's team climbs on top of it to get the Amulet back. As Oozer climbed up first.

"Ok, where is that fishy gu-"

"HAAAAA!-"Jemmes started to attack behind. Oozer begins to parry at the right time.

"How's it going, Cap'n? You're looking hideous as usual."

Oozer takes the Amulet as a stealth quick, but Jemmes attacks him as he dodges quickly. While they're still fighting, The Snow figure still catches Sprixie for a moment. Sprixie quicks for dodging the Snow figure's arms. It started angry, the Snow figure snatched her quickly. She can't even move around. But then, some blasts right at the Snow figure's arm to free Sprixie. Sprixie looks at someone who's rescued her, it was Mad rabbid.

"Need a hand? You're welcome!!"

"Well, need as always." Said Sprixie smiles as joy.

The Snow figures are moved as Mad rabbid almost falls. But it is grabbed by Ralph, Mad thanks to him for saving his life. As they still climb on top of it. But there is still a fight between Oozer and Jemmes Star.

"Well Cap'n', I guess you could say you must be fishing around to get greedy aren't you?"

"Well, that ain't your move, French fry!!"

"Heh, possibly that much- AHH!" Oozer lost his dagger, and landed it behind him.

He tries to take it, but Jemmes get him down and asked,

"Any last words from you, French fry?? Hand over that shiny Amulet or ELSE.."

Oozer has no choice but to lend him over the Amulet. But one thing to say to him.

"Ok, I'll surrender."

"Oh! Do you really just give up and hand me over that Shiny thing??" As Jemmes Grins.

"...Well, I don't think so." Oozer throws at Goob right behind Jemmes Star.

"Hah! I go- woOOAAHHH!!"Goob falls into a high ground, but it is grabbed by Asher as he rescues him.

"Don't worry, kid. I got ya!" said Asher.

Meanwhile, Mad rabbid found a Mysterious Jewel at the back of the Snow figure. As soon as he take it and said,

"Oh! Wonder what this is for."

But then, the Snow Figures begin to collapse down as Goob & team and Jemmes Star falls together. Not for long, they're still alive because the snow is fluffy like pillows.

"Hey! We're still alive!!" As Goob happy.

"Well, all thanks to the snow saving us. At least, they are fluffy just like my own bed." Said Mad rabbid.

As everyone comes to Goob & his team, they've been worrying about whether they are okay or not.

As Sprixie worried about them, "You guys okay?"

"Don't worry, we're fine! But wait, where's that shark guy?" Said Hammer.

"Well, he must have escaped from swimming in the snow, am I right??"

"Stop with the jokes, Oozer." Said Shank with a neutral face.

But something unexpected happened, the little snowman showed up from the snow. The snowman was actually from the Snow figures as it becomes evil. Everyone panic, but Moona goes to it and asked,

"Oh, you poor little snowman. Are you hurt, or do you seem very sad?"

The snowman frowns and nods as agrees.

"Oh, don't worry. I'll have just the perfect for you. How about a nice sweet marshmallow and a view with this magical holiday. What do you say?"

The Snowman agrees and shows happiness. Moona comes to The Snowman over the Christmas with people who seem to think that the Snowman looks cute and kind. Goob's team seems happy to gather around Christmas. But one thing to say about it, Goob goes to Asher with a gift.

"Hey, Asher! I could have a big thanks to you for helping and saving me over there last time. But, here! I got a special present for you." Goob handed him a Present.

Asher asked,"Ya sure you want me to open this present, kid?"

"Well, if you want."

Asher opened his present and what did he get? New armour!

"An Armour?"

"Well, not just Armour. Since I asked Ryanna to make a good Armour for you. This armour was originally from an old century from a long time ago. Combine into them and ta-da! A new Era of you! I know it's kinda hard to say but-"

"It's okay, kid. I love it."

"Wait, really?!"

"Yeah, it's been a while since I've fallen from a light sky and spread as darkness comes to me. But then, you've come to spare me a great teamwork. I've never thought about everyone in this world but you could be kind with people in your own determined heart. And even one thing, thank you. To make me become great as it looks." Asher smiles as he is proud of Goob.

"Well, I could have, we should have needed some great snacks, you comin'?"

"Heh, well let me just stay with your friendly horse for a while."

"Oh!" Okay, have fun!!" Goob waves happily and leaves.

Meanwhile, Paloma looks for Goldy. But it bumps to someone.

"O-oh, Lo siento! I am very sorry for bumps into-" she looks at its face. It was Goldy.

Paloma started to blush,"A-ah!! I'm sorry, Mr.' Goldy! I didn't see you there!!"

"Oh, it's alright Ms. Paloma. Sometimes you've always been like that. But it's okay, say anything you'd like." As he smiles at her.

"O-oh! Umm.. actually, I just want you to have this." She gave him some yellow roses.

"A rose, huh?? You've actually known my fav style, gold as shines as always. I remember when we first met last year since I've been sharing some flowers with my magic."

"O-oh! I do too. I mean, I'm getting a bit shy in front of you sometimes. But, I know you're the most hermoso in the world I've known!" As she is proud of him.

He laughed with joy and asked, "Say, this holiday is perfect for any joys we want. Would you like to dance, Ms. Paloma?"

Paloma having her heart beating as her love that she agrees,

"S-SI!!"

At once they dance together with the other too. But not at the end, Slinker looks at the stars in the sky, Tanza seems to notice he enjoys the view of the sky.

"Having a good time, Cousin?" He asked

"Hmm.. much better. I noticed, why did I go to that mountain?" Said Slinker

"Why?" As Tanza wants to know the answers.

"Because it reminds me of our home a long time ago. I started to get scared about my Dark magic, since these days, I haven't thought about our father with his journal."

"But don't worry, Slinker. We'll be there with Goob and His friends. You never be alone on this journey, as though I would help you if you need it. As long as you're part of the Aphelions Family, even he does have old friends. Because, we balance like the sun & moon."

"You're right, Tanza. I think We've come through every journey with Goob and his friends as always. I've never had a determined soul who would be kind to the world that needed it the most. But, only if he could reach the light within us, so any creature can have freedom that deserves to exist. But besides those, let's just take a break okay, Tanza?"

"Well, if you say my Cousin."

And so, everyone lives in peace with it, such a great time to spend with holidays. And with that, the journey will be Continued.

Summary: A quick lore blurb for my oc, Sasha Catall before I post other stories. She discovers something she never thought was true.

A group of children tossed a piece of scrap metal to one another. A dwindling fire pit sparked behind them as they talked amongst each other.

“This is so boring.” A brown haired girl named Kristi hung upside down from a supply crate. “I wish we could leave.”

“Fat chance,” a Twi’lek known as Moona huffed. “If I could leave, I’d become a pop star like Lady Kaja. Everyone would know my name.”

“When I grow up, I want to be a jedi!” A young boy exclaimed, flexing his frail arms.

“What’s a jedi?” Moona tilted her head. “Is it a type of farmer?”

The child’s eyes lit up with wonder. “They’re protectors of the galaxy by using the force!” The boy retrieved a stick from the group and waved it around. “And they have these colored swords that glow! How cool is that?”

The boy smacked a redheaded child with the stick, much to her annoyance. “Stop it, Connor!” She pushed him away. “They’re not real anyway.”

Connor stuck his tongue out and stomped his foot. “They are!”

“Are not!”

“Are too-”

“Leave her alone, Connor,” Moona tore the boy away. “You never told us what you want to be, Sasha.”

She clasped her hands together. “Well, it would be nice to fall in love one day.”

“Eww, boys are gross.” Kristi held her stomach and fake a gag. “I’m never going to marry a boy. Never, ever!”

“Sasha, you come here this instant!” A woman called from a nearby tent. “It’s way past your bedtime.”

The children exchanged an immature “Ooh!”

“Oh, shut it.” Sasha ran off to join her mother.“I don’t want you getting hurt. I worry for you.” Her mother scolded as she tucked her daughter in bed.

Sasha yawned. “Mama, what’s the force? Does it hurt?”

“It’s an urban legend, dear.” Sasha’s mother smiled. “And no, I don’t think it’s harmful.”

“How do you know? Have you-”

“No more questions.” Her mother cut her off and kissed her cheek. “We can talk tomorrow. Goodnight.”

“ ‘Night.” The child drifted off and curled into the scratchy blanket.

‘Some secrets are better kept locked away,’ She’d never tell Sasha, nor would it help her in any way.

That is, until decades later.

“Are you sure she’s the one?” Savage crossed his arms.

“Of course I do. Believe me, I sensed her presence from a mile away.” Maul glared at his brother.

“What presence?” Sasha joined them in the cockpit.

The red Zabrak glanced back at her. “Savage, take over.” He left the pilot’s seat and joined her.

“You’re force sensitive, Sasha. Haven’t you felt it?”

“I can’t be. The Force is a space-tale used to entertain children.”

Maul raised an eyebrow. “If the Force is such a tall tale, how did I defeat the auctioneer?”

The memory of the auctioneer being choked and thrown to the floor flooded her mind. She remembered the crowds screaming and the security being tossed like ragdolls. People scrambled for the exit, the unlucky ones being trampled to death. All she could do was huddle on the stage, hoping that everything would go away. Sasha could feel the rage coursing through Maul’s golden eyes, sensing the utter disgust at the cruel bidders.

So it was all true.

“Are you listening?”

Sasha snapped out of her trance. “Ye-Yes, Mr. Maul.”

“Maul is fine. Now do you believe me?”

She nodded. “Does this mean I’ll become a Sith?”

Savage held his tongue in the pilot’s seat. He knew that Maul was sensitive about his past Sith training.

“Not exactly,” Maul sighed. “I will train you, but I refuse to let you travel down the path that I did.”

“I see,” Sasha’s gaze fell to the floor again. “Well, I’ll give it a shot.”

“We’ll start tomorrow with the basics. But be aware that I won’t hold back after our first lesson.”

Moonalisa Spring 2020 Collection

Moonalisa’s spring collection is always my favorite of her annual offerings. I love the happy and upbeat earthy and botanical artwork and scents. It’s always a vibrant and cheerful collection! This year I snagged some old favorites and tried several new items as well. All of the items (excepting the hand sanitizer, which is a brand new offering) are tried and true favorite formulas for me. 

Soaps

Moona’s soap uses a glycerin base, and has the nicest lather of any glycerin-based soap that I’ve used. Her soaps are always beautifully-designed, well-scented, and hold their shapes well. 

Almond Pastries

Scent description: Airy flaky pastries with a sweet almond filling.

Oh my. I know that this is one of Moona’s scents from years past, and I sincerely hope that it makes a return in the future! I wish that I had purchased more products in this scent! It’s a gorgeous and realistic almond pastry scent. It’s not cloying at all, but smells like a realistic almond-cream filled croissant. A new favorite of mine!

Bees Knees

Scent description:  Honey, honeysuckle and hyacinth.

Bees Knees is springtime perfection! The honey is sticky, sweet, wildflower honey, and the honeysuckle and hyacinth complement it beautifully with their sweet, subtly heady scents. This one is a fan favorite for good reason! Also, how beautiful is this soap?!

Sweet as a Peach

Scent description:  Sweet & sugared fresh Georgia peaches!!!

This is the sweetest, loveliest peach blend! It’s a fresh-cut ripe peach, coated in sugar and ready for a cobbler!

Perfumes

Cloven Cotton Candy

Scent description: Clove and cotton candy blended together! It's sinister, but not evil!

Cloven Cotton Candy is the first Moona scent that I ever tried (in bath soak form!), and I fell in love with it. It’s a wonderful twist on a cotton candy scent. Sometimes cotton candy blends can be overly sweet and cloying, but here the addition of the clove both tempers the sweetness and makes the blend more interesting. The clove is smooth and dark, rendering this scent perfect for the fall.

Raspberry Lemon Tisane

Scent description:  Various Raspberry fragrance oils mixed with Lemon essential oil.

This is my very favorite raspberry scent of all time. It’s realistic, mouth-puckering tart and sweet raspberry with one of Moona’s famous and beautiful lemon blends. It’s sweet, tart, and refreshing, like a glass of raspberry lemonade. <3 

Strawberry Marshmallow

Scent description: Bursting fruity strawberry goodness married with ooey marshmallow cream, a match made in heaven!

This blend is so sweet and happy! I get sugar-crusted, ripe, fresh, realistic strawberries and a delicate cloud of fluffy vanilla marshmallow. Love!

Strawberry Sugar Shortcake

Scent description:  Ripe juicy strawberries, crushed and rolled into sweet cane sugar, gently folded into fresh whipped cream on top of a warm buttery shortcake.

I love this sweet strawberry blend so much. It’s less of a fresh, realistic strawberry scent than Strawberry Marshmallow,  and more of a strawberry cake scent. The cake is sweet and fluffy, like angel’s food cake, and the strawberry is sugar-crusted and syrupy. Strawberry Sugar Shortcake is youthful, happy, and delicious!

Dusting Powder

Dusting powder is a handy little product that can be used in a variety of ways. I like to dust it on my decollete and under my arms after my bath at night, but you can also use it to absorb excess moisture on the skin when it’s hot and sticky out, dust it in shoes, sprinkle in gym bags (or anywhere you want to freshen up the scent a bit), or dust it on your bedsheets.

Lavender Shortbread

Scent description: A buttery shortbread cookie blend with just a touch of Lavender EO.

This blend is the perfect mix of soft, herbal lavender and sweet, buttery shortbread. It’s neither too sweet nor too herbal--it’s just right. One of my very favorite of Moona’s blends!

Hand Sanitizer Gel--Lavender Shortbread scent

This is more of a traditional hand sanitizing gel product. I really love the small size of the bottle--I’ll easily be able to keep this in my purse or in the car. It’s an extra bonus that it smells like Moona’s beautiful Lavender Shortbread scent. I almost wish that I had purchased more than one bottle of this.

Hand Sanitizer and Surface Spray--Four Thieves scent

This is more liquidy than the gel sanitizer. It’s meant to be sprayed on surfaces (or on the hands). This is also a super handy product! The Four Thieves scent (a mixture of lavender, rosemary, mint, sage, marjoram, and anise hyssop) is super refreshing and calming--it’s woody and herbal with a generous dash of mint.

Bath Salts

I love Moona’s bath salts and I go through them so quickly! I usually get about five baths out of each jar, which is a great value. The salts are always well-scented and make for a lovely and relaxing bathing experience.

Earth/Uplifting

Scent description:  Sweet Orange and thyme. A Citrus and herbal scent, thyme oil was used historically for melancholia. Represents the element Earth.

This is a calming and grounding citrus scent. It’s hard to pick out the thyme, but I can definitely smell an herbal element calming the citrus. This is a favorite scent of mine, especially for the bath.

Gaelic Mist

Scent description:  Hard to describe, powdery, misty, morning dew, rain-like, sweet but refreshing!

Gaelic Mist is one of my top five Moona blends. It smells like warm rain and a cloud of gentle, wet florals in a mist of amber. It’s very cooling, and one of my all-time favorite rain and floral blends!

Honey Cakes & Wildflowers

Scent description:  Earthy, buttery corn cakes drizzled with golden honey, a touch of golden frankincense in a meadow full of blooming wild flowers.

I’m super picky with honey scents, and this one is a beauty. I get primarily sticky-sweet wildflower honey, with a hint of smooth, grounding frankincense, dried wildflowers, and a touch of sticky corn cakes. I would love to try this in food form! It’s a perfect blend of all elements, not overly sweet.

Ostara

Scent description:  Rites of Spring - Cedarwood, Lavender, Rose, Clove, and a touch of Dragon's Blood.

One of my very favorite Moona scents! Ostara is am incredibly well-blended woody blend. The cedar is prominent but not overpowering, it’s softened by the sweet, herbal lavender and deepened by a pinch of smooth clove. This scent is a powerful stress reliever!

Potion Lotion

Moona’s Potion Lotion formula is quite possibly my very favorite lotion formula. It’s cooling, soothing, and well-scented. It hydrates my dry skin super well without leaving it greasy. The size also makes it perfect for travel.

Indigo Wine

Scent description:  A fresh and gloriously blue blend of Hydrangeas and Hyacinths!

Indigo Wine is a beautiful, realistic spring floral blend. I get lots of creamy, mildly-spicy, lightly-heady hyacinth, which is one of my favorite scents of spring.  A must-have for lovers of spring and realistic floral blends!

Duodécima semana de bocetos digitales inspirados en el serial radiofónico “Cuando Juan y Tula fueron a Siritinga”

CAPÍTULO 56 - Magia de Zien Reis El globo en el que viajan Juan, Tula y el monje mudo es detenido por la Guardia Alcotán, que los obliga a atracar en los Nidos de Jazna. Tula recibe un mensaje telepático del monje para ue ladre como si estuviese rabiosa, evitando que los guardias inspeccionen la bodega del globo donde se esconden ella y Juan.

CAPÍTULO 57 - En Jazna El capítulo empieza con una narración en primera persona del monje mudo, cuyo verdadero nombre es Zien Reis. En ella explica que adoptó a El-Jormaz cuando era un niño y que el Oráculo de Kransis pronosticó que los sobreviviría. Juan y Tula siguen ocultos en el globo, cuando Juan siente un rugido partiendo su cabeza desde dentro, Tula también lo oye, telepáticamente. En una celda dentro de los nidos, unos corruptos guardias Alcotán planean torturar a Zien Reis, pero éste los hechiza con una ilusión de El-Jormaz y abandona la celda sin que nadie lo detenga. Cuando el globo abandona los Nidos, estos se desmoronan, a causa de un violento terremoto.

CAPÍTULO 58 - ¡Pelea de locas! Monatir acude a la corte subterránea de los víborx parta interrogar a Tana, su hermanastra y responsable de la muerte de su padre Devan Kellar durante su primera dictadura. Monatir quiere información sobre las circunstancias de la muerte de la hermana gemela de Tana, Garza-Gearcen a la que amaba. Años atrás, Tana consideró a su sensible hermana una vergüenza para su familia y le dio un puesto remoto como encargada de las minas de hielo del sol de Gelis. En aquella época Monatir le suplicó a Tana que permitiese Garza regresar a Siritinga, pero aparentemente ésta se suicidó antes de regresar. Tana cree Garza conoció a El-Jormaz, durante su estancia en Gelis y que se quitó la vida por amor. Monatir no cree en las afirmaciones de Tana y la discusión pronto degenera en una violenta pelea.

CAPÍTULO 59 - Moona y Tana El globo en el que viajan Juan, Tula y Zien Reis llega a Laris, donde deben tomar la corriente de aire ascendente de retorno de vuelta a Arenas. Mientras tanto, Haragosa un eunuco burócrata le entrega a Sikarra el cilal con el informe de Ban Taur. Sikarra le ordena establecer una vigilancia sobre el sátrapa de Arenas.

CAPÍTULO 60 - El-Jormaz y Madoz El-Jormaz se prepara para abandonar Siritinga a bordo de la colosal nave monasterio de la Orden de Treval Sorj. El Abad Madoz, pese a haberle prestado su ayuda le recuerda que la nave no puede demorar su partida indefinidamente. El globo pilotado por Zien Reis aparece en el último momento, cuando El-Jormaz parecía resignado a cumplir su misteriosa misión en solitario.

Twelfth week of digital sketches inspired by the radio serial “Cuando Juan y Tula fueron a Siritinga” (When Juan and Tula went to Siritinga)

CHAPTER 56 - Magic of Zien Reis The balloon in which Juan, Tula and the mute monk travel is stopped by the Alcotán Guard, which forces them to dock in the Jazna Nests. Tula receives a telepathic message from the monk to bark as if she were rabid, preventing the guards from inspecting the cellar of the globe where she and Juan hide.

CHAPTER 57 - In Jazna The chapter begins with a first person narration of the mute monk, whose real name is Zien Reis. In it he explains that he adopted El-Jormaz as a child and that the Kransis Oracle predicted that he would survive him. Juan and Tula are still hidden in the globe, when Juan feels a roar splitting his head from inside, Tula also hears it, telepathically. In a cell inside the nests, corrupt Alcotán guards plan to torture Zien Reis, but he enchants them with an illusion of El-Jormaz and leaves the cell without anyone stopping him. When the balloon leaves the Nests, they crumble because of a violent earthquake.

CHAPTER 58 - Catfight! Monatir goes to the underground court of the viborx to interrogate Tana, her stepsister and responsible of the death of her father Devan Kellar during her first dictatorship. Monatir wants information about the circumstances of the death of Tana's twin sister, Garza-Gearcen whom she loved. Years ago, Tana considered her sensitive sister an embarrassment to her family and gave her a remote position as manager of the the ice mines of the sun of Gelis. At that time Monatir begged Tana to allow Garza to return to Siritinga, but apparently she killed herself before coming back. Tana believes Garza met El-Jormaz, during his stay in Gelis and who took her own life for love. Monatir does not believe in Tana's claims and the discussion soon degenerates into a violent fight.

CHAPTER 59 - Moona and Tana The balloon in which Juan, Tula and Zien Reis travel arrives at Laris, where they must take the upward air flow back to Arenas. Meanwhile, Haragosa, a bureaucrat eunuch, gives Sikarra the cilal with the Ban Taur report. Sikarra orders him to establish a watch over the satrap of Arenas.   CHAPTER 60 - El-Jormaz and Madoz El-Jormaz prepares to leave Siritinga aboard the colossal monastery ship of the Order of Treval Sorj. Abbot Madoz, despite having lent his help, reminds him that the ship cannot delay his departure indefinitely. The balloon piloted by Zien Reis appears at the last moment, when El-Jormaz seemed resigned to fulfill his mysterious mission alone.

Favorite Food: This question doesn’t have an answer. I like a lot of food. My favourite kinds of food are Pakistani, Italian, and… dessert.

Languages: English is the only language I can speak, read and write in. But I also speak Pashto fluently and Urdu less fluently. 

Favorite Songs: This is different all the time. Currently, Delicate by Taylor Swift, Somebody Else by The 1975, Shrike by Hozier, Curveballs by The Wombats, and… okay, TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME by The 1975 has the most obnoxious title and a questionable premise, but I love it.

Random Fact: I started writing a book in high school and years later the story and characters still exist very vividly in my head, but I have not given it any real attention for a long long time. Which is sad – I want to get back to it.
