Happy birthday Tove Jansson!! She would have been 105!

🌱Despite the sudden popularity in the Moomins after the 2019 series came out, I would still love this author/illustrator and everything she's made regardless. I'm so grateful to have discovered her this past spring thanks to some lovely followers who convinced me to check out her work!

🌱I've never had a role model before until I learned about Tove and what she built her life into--choosing to be kind and soft into her old age, writing about the family she wished she could have had, creating characters who have as much to teach adults as they do children, and spending the last 40 or so years of her life with her wife either traveling the world or living in their homemade house on a tiny island off the coast of Finland. What an amazing person!
