A huge smile appears on Mid's lips at the sight of Jill. The other seems a bit less tired today. It's RELIEVING. She knows Tarja keeps complaining because Jill doesn't really listen to her when she tells her to rest. But now, Jill seems to truly feel better. And hopefully, it'll be this way for a while. Mid hates seeing her friends be sick or injured more than anything else. She lost Cid already; she refuses to lose anyone else.

"You seem well today, Jill. It's good you're listening at least a bit to Tarja's advice." She teases, keeping a warm smile on her features before she chuckles a bit. She scratches her neck, hesitating. "I don't know if you'll answer me, but... Are you and Clive together now ? Like, officially, together ? It's time, you know. You guys are the cutest!"

"jill, please don't..." he tried to literally avoid her hand by turning his face the other way. it was a sign of his past he wasn't proud of. yes, he had faced his sins, had come to terms with how much he slaughtered people and that he had almost killed jill as well. he had known nothing but revenge and nothing but revenge mattered. if it hadn't been for jill, cid and joshua, as well as the rest of the hideaway members he certainly wouldn't have arrived where was now: at ease with himself.

nonetheless he didn't like it, when someone touched the scar on his face. it was habitual by now. serene blue eyes looked up almost shyly before he cleared his throat, hand grabbing jill's, squeezing it in his. "i know it feels weird. i am glad to have gotten rid of the brand nonetheless." it was a new start, no longer a slave to revenge and feelings of regret.

"i haven't gotten used to feeling of your touch yet. i-i want to make an effort..." he slowly led jill's hand back up to his face, nudging it to touch him. eventually, this would be alright. he'd not feel dirty anymore.

The Hideaway feels so PEACEFUL. Joshua has always admired his brother. He has always known he could do great things. He's so happy they're reunited now. And to see Jill again, too, is a wonderful surprise. She has always been so good to him when they were children, like an older kind sister who kept telling him he would do fine as the Dominant of the Phoenix. And maybe he's not too bad. He can fight now; he can handle himself. His health is terrible, but that's another story.

As Jill approaches him, he offers her a warm smile. "It's good to see you, Jill." It seems like a lifetime ago, but it also feels like nothing has changed in some ways, though. It's weird, yet pleasant. "Thanks for remaining at my brother's side. I'm sure it makes him very happy, to have you around."

I told myself that it was for the sake of maintaining peace -- to ensure that Rosaria would not be attacked. I convinced myself that the cruelty was outweighed by the needs of my people.

But if the situation was reversed, and it was one of my sons being forcibly taken to be used as leverage for their father's cooperation, would I still be so understanding?

I have no right to ask for your forgiveness. So instead I will wish that your heart finds peace from your untold grief, and that you grow to flourish into the blossom you were undoubtedly meant to be.

Jote was unaware of the events involving the Einherjar and the battle with Barnabas. She had only been told about the events in Kanver and that Jill had been taken by Barnabas when she fought him to allow Clive to escape.

Feeling that Jill had fought fiercely against Barnabas, Jote wanted to make sure that any injuries that Jill had sustained were tended to.

It wasn't her place to try and pry into the matters about Jill's health. They didn't know each other that well, and Jill was of a higher position than Jote in the Undying woman's mind.

"If I am able to accompany them, then surely you will be able to. You are far stronger than I am Lady Warrick." Given that she had been able to go to Kanver at all when Jote had been sent to guard Clive's friends at the Hideaway rather than going to Kanver with them, it made Jote feel like Joshua didn't think high enough of her ability to fight to join them, which made her feel like it was a contributing factor toward her no longer traveling with Joshua.

"Though it is wrong to speak ill of my lord and the lord marquess, from what I know, I both worry and fear what those two will do if they are left on their own. We have to make sure that doesn't happen." Given that Jill has more sway with both of the brothers, Jote feels like she will need her support should that be the case. Since Jill had been with Clive and Jote had been with Joshua, they knew some of the more worrisome traits of each of the brothers but adding in the close sibling relationship the two had, it only added to her worries.

She didn't outright tell Joshua, but she was able to tell that Joshua's condition had taken an unusual dive after Oriflamme. From what she had been told from the Undying's observers of Joshua, Clive, and Jill's interactions when they were younger, she expected that it somehow involved Clive, but didn't bring it up, knowing that Joshua would probably downplay his condition.

In light of spooky season approaching, I wanted to list the monster verse shenanigans I have for my various muses~

Tay co-owns a magic shop that appears in a variety of places. Though he is human, he has seemingly appeared at various times throughout the centuries.

Dirk is an ancient vampire who is content to let others believe he's just one of many - an average bloodsucker at best. He is, however, far more powerful than that.

Dan has been a hunter for a long time. At some point, he accidentally became a werewolf, but well. That hasn't really changed much for him. He'll fight humans or monsters, provided it offers an interesting challenge.

If I could have a sister, I would like her to be like Jill. No, I would like her to be Jill.

She seems to always find the best words, for everyone. When we first met, she spent much of her time with Clive, but as I got to know her, I realized she was truly just so kind with everyone, willing to help everyone who needed it.

I admire her strength. I wish I was more like her sometimes.

But even if we're different, I feel like we still understand each other very much. Even when I worry, she manages to make me feel more at ease. And of course, I'm willing to do the same for her!

If Jill is a monster, then they all are monsters. The Dominants. Joshua killed before. He killed as a child, when he lost control of his powers. And to survive, he was also forced to do questionable things. It scares him sometimes. But it's always much EASIER to see the good sides of other people than of himself. And Jill... she has always been so good to him. She's so dear to him.

"You are not a monster, Jill," he assures with a comforting voice. "You are one of the kindest person I have ever met. Even when we were apart, the happy memories I have of you and of Clive made me survive." Because Joshua knows he wouldn't have survived all these years of loneliness if he couldn't think of seeing Clive and Jill again someday.

"And the woman I see before me is just as caring and devoted to goodness. Of course, you have been through a lot. You were forced on these battlefields. But let me tell you one thing: a real monster would not even think of these horrible things they did. They would not care or wonder." And Jill, with all the concerns she's showing about everything, just proves so easily that she's nothing like a monster. "You, Jill, are not a monster, and I ask you to believe me."
