A 6-disc deluxe box set will include the original album fully remastered, as well as a striking album remix by original producer, Scott Litt. Plus, previously unreleased demos, rare concert recordings from 1995, and extensive new liner notes. A Blu-ray disc also offers hi-res audio and 5.1 Surround Sound versions of Monster, the documentary Road Movie, and all six music videos from the album. Breakout editions also available on 2-CD, 2-LP and as a standalone 180-gram 1-LP.

O R.E.M. se aposentou em 2011 mas isso não quer dizer que os fãs ficam sem lançamentos e este é para fã nenhum botar defeito. Dia 1º de novembro é lançada a caixa comemorativa de 25 anos do álbum Monster.

A caixa contém 5 CDs e um DVD Blu-ray com o álbum original e um remix feito em 2019 produzido por Scott Litt, produtor do Monsterem…

Celebrations for Monster’s 25th anniversary at WDW2018. 

The final touches are being made to the WDW2018 programme, which on 20-22 July will see thousands of motorcyclists arriving from all over the world at the Marco Simoncelli Misano World Circuit to celebrate and share their passion for Ducati.

This 10th edition of the rally will be a further opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Monster, the naked sportbike par excellence. One of the initiatives that WDW2018 will dedicate to this iconic model is the "Ducati Garage Contest", the competition that since 2002 has been rewarding the most beautiful customised Ducati motorcycles created by fans around the world, ready to be admired in the prestigious showcase that only the WDW paddock can offer. This year the "Ducati Garage Contest" is reserved exclusively for "Monsteristi". The custom Monsters will be judged during the event by a jury consisting of technicians, riders and visitors. More information and the rules for participating in the contest are available in a dedicated section of the website. 

A "Monster Village" will be staged inside the Misano Circuit, an exclusive space where it will be possible to retrace the history of Monster through the key models that have made the bike a true icon, starting from the Monster 900 in 1993, currently on display in the Ducati Museum in Borgo Panigale. 

In addition, a photo studio will be created for the Monsteristi, complete with an official Ducati photographer who will document the presence of the many fans of this iconic bike. The photos will then be used for the communications campaign dedicated to the celebration of this anniversary, marked by the hashtag #welovemonster and launched officially at the rally held at the end of March in Le Castellet, France. 

Like every year, an international ambience and a strong sense of belonging to the community is ensured by the 266 DOCs (Desmo Owners Clubs), already busy preparing for an active participation in the event. Boasting more than 35,913 members in 59 countries around the world, the DOCs are a fundamental component of the Ducati universe, enthusiastically enlivening the bi-annual gathering. For this 10th edition, the community is ready to celebrate with all the participants in the area dedicated to the International Village, strategically located in the middle of the paddock, the true beating heart of desmodromic passion. 

For more information and to stay up to date with all the news in real time, both before and during the event, the new official app of World Ducati Week 2018 is available for free download. During the event the WDW app will allow those who activate it to participate in games and access exclusive opportunities. Májkül, hogy gondoltátok, hogy én és fellow irájemes lemezvásárló társaim egy olyan dupla lemezt akarnak megvenni, amin szerepel az eredeti és egy újramixelt változat, miközben lehetne olyan duplalemezt is megvetetni velünk, amin szerepel az eredeti és a demógyűjtemény? Hejnye! Ráadásul ez a most bemutatott whacöfrikvöszi remix pont olyan, mint az eredeti, biztosan csak a hifibaszáson lesz nagyon kicsit más az élmény. Ha még valami pc music vagy bass-remix vóna! Early murmurs of Monster, part 1: A year from #Monster25 but the anniversary of that period’s already started for me and my memory bank— right about 25 years ago, we went down to Mexico to have the inevitable discussion we had to have— tour next record (which didn’t exist yet but some songs were in the works)? …Warners, for whom the band had made significant sums from 1988- 1993 (Green, Out of Time, Automatic for the People, with a market pre-ubiquity) spent some of it on jet fuel to get us to their retreat (house) and we went down for a week to assess, reflect, plan, figure things out . . . record would come out late 1994 and tour would start, as the last one (1989) in January in Australia.  We decided on a bunch of things… augmenting with extra guitarists (still TBD), Joe (sound) and Willie (lights ++) on loan from the off-year Dubliners, trying to seat 360 even with some sort of screens and imagery, coming home without writing a check back at the end…the basics of business planning more than a year out from when the action would really begin.  And then it all happened: babies were born, a hard record got finished and seeds for the followup were planted, a young and gifted Jim Courier played drums in Melbourne, new trails were blazed in far-flung parts of the world we’d never been, FedEx and faxes, and these new cell-phone things, were our go-to devices, videos got filmed (Star 69 in Singapore was a highlight in its crazy audacity), shows were selling out indoors (summer down under, winter throughout Europe), and out (summer in Europe), songs were written (Departure between Singapore and San Sebastian) …it was all going on, and then March 1, Lausanne, when it all came scarily close to all being over…but fate, luck, Bill, God-given talent of doctors and artists and team and it all somehow miraculously resumed and picked back up—  the year took further turns and twists, ended up with a strange and poignant momentum of its own despite all that…. and made it to November with the traditional Thanksgiving shows in Atlanta  (the Omni not the Fox Theatre this time) …anyway, 1995 was truly “the year that was” in the history of the band) and in my mind, the #Monster25 anniversary dates to those intense meetings in Acapulco 1993— reissue coming next October,  with the 40th anniversary of the whole shooting match year after next!   #40REM2020! —Bertis
