Venom Nightcrawler !!!!! The Best of Both World's

There's some very stunning images of Nightcrawler with a Venom type symbiote and I just adore it so🥹🥹🥹 but I truly don't know anything about comics, and my vague understanding is he is not he main character of this comic, truly saddening ☹️☹️

Hmm, I mean I don't really have "OCs" anymore in the traditional sense, I really only create characters for tabletop campaigns these days. But I can post some of those I guess.

You’re one of the artists that really got me into the community and inspires me. What artists where like the for you when first got into the fandom?

I was in the Zootopia fandom initially, and unfortunately a lot of artists in that community went inactive over the years. @pointedfox-blog1 's blog is what got me into drawing Zoot art initially. I referenced their work a lot when starting out. @monoflaxart was a huge inspiration too. I got into painting in large part due to them. One of my first introductions to furry art was @cocadope. Funnily enough we got to know each other a few years later, and now we're neighbors/good friends!

6. Phewww, basically what makes me reblog a piece of fanart? If an expression is true to the character. GREAT LIGHTING. Abstract use of color and texture, lately. Creative outfits. Lighting. If you want the short answer, it'll always be great lighting, I think.

For what I'd call "expressive clarity", my favorite artworks on Tumblr have always been by @/itistimetodisappear, @/monoflaxart, @/dreamsoffools, and @/jackthevulture. They all did lots of Httyd art back in the day, even though each of them has moved on from it now and it would be hard to track down anything of their work if one is not willing to do a deep dive into their archives or whatever.

For the background grunge that I so crave more of, I've been paying attention to @/alouavic and @/yusufart. @/snekky-arts too, but you know that one ;)

As for motives that I love seeing...dragons? Any flying creatures? Well made, fleshed out character designs? Architecture? Dunno, could be anything - if it's my style, I'll put it on my blog! Sorry, that was an unnecessarily long answer now, but I kind of found it a hard question!

16. A detail in the Httyd canon that I appreciate A LOT are just Hiccup's outfits!!! They are BORING!!! (Mainly talking about 1 and 3 here) I LOVE THEM SO MUCH YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW they are not hyper-overdone, they look functional, comfortable, appropriate, and they put the focus on Hiccup's character rather than his appearance. My dude is wearing simple greens and browns. What. And I didn't like his Httyd2 outfit, but it was clever and looked absolutely silly on him. It was so so cool but at the same time, you know, nothing to brag about, like a swimming champion in a speedo and goggles. It makes him amazing at what he does, but it's not conventionally attractive, if you get the gist??? It's fantastic.

A detail in Tales of Arcadia that I love is the way shadow magic works and the way Claire manages to master it. It's generally a less trafficked road to go, an introvert's realm if you like, away from the noise of changelings invading schools and the like, ...so she gets to experiment with it and makes it hers. Nice.

A detail in Narnia that I love is the sea of lilies that the party encounters at the end of the world in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

And a very neat detail in Trigun Stampede is the way Vash's glasses reflect light, sometimes obscuring his eyes or suddenly making them visible, which is an AWESOME feature to make the viewer guess his thoughts. You should give it a watch, maybe only the first episode! I wouldn't know if you like it, but there's a certain tenderness about Vash that you might appreciate as well :)

I’ve been wondering, what has been your inspiration[s] for your art? Because your art just pops each time I see it! It’s really lovely and it’s pretty inspiring ^ ^

Hello! Thank you for the ask, it is greatly appreciated and I'm happy to hear that my art is found to be inspiring! To answer your question:

Most of what I draw inspiration from is Fantasy media, DnD being a big one. Games like Lobotomy Corporation, Lethal Company, Subnautica, The Isle, Monster Hunter, and Pillars of Eternity, are some other things that I draw inspiration from with what I create. From how the story is set to how creatures are designed.

Most of it largely goes back to the Natural World, Fantasy, Dinosaurs, and Dragons specifically.

Art style wise, I've had quite a few artists I've admired over the years, and a specific thing I have in mind that I'm going for. A mix between realism and cartoon, with more lean on the realistic side.

Most of the artists I admire are back from when I was on deviantart primarily years ago: chill13, remarin, apofiss, grimmla, demonml, tamaytka, and teagangavet

Others that are more recent are from here on tumbler: Min Play, neytirix, maxx-doodles, monoflaxart, and beautysnake

There are of course many, many, many more inspiration sources but it all has been things collected over the years that I don't remember where exactly from anymore unfortunately. Plus, it would make this post a little too longer than it already is.

This took a minute to answer. I won't lie, I haven't really thought about this before, at least not in depth. Most of what I do with my inspirations is I study them and how they are constructed so that I can use bits and pieces in my own work.

Sorry you're feeling crappy :c Ummm things ... oh! I'm finally getting into a DnD game! In my timezone!!! It's online but I'm excited to play (and remember how to talk to people).

I'm gonna roll a Dragonborn because it's a homebrew setting (I guess) and the lore was super interesting for them. Still gotta design her though. Know some good Dragon artists to look at for inspo ... or DnD artists? ... lol idk I just want her to look RAD AS HELL hahaha

Soo. I will hardly be on Tumblr for the next month or so, so I’ve spent the last week or so making @trashasaurusrex an early birthday artwork-wallpaper-present-type-thing now since I won’t be online on her Birthday next month. So Happy Early Birthday Trish! All the sketches you see above were originally plain, white sketches drawn by her, so I decided to create a colour version of each sketch and put it all into one wallpaper-type-thing. The reason why I did this was because Trish’s artwork (as well as @mistermead, @nicolaswildes, @monoflaxart , @skeletonguys-and-ragdolls and @rem289) along with @crewefox and @helthehatter‘s fanfics was what really got me into this damn-awesome fandom, so I guess I’m also saying thanks as well :) I also just bought a Wacom tablet, so after next month, you can all expect loads more artwork like this from me.
