hello!!! i have a bit of a lengthy monkey spaghetti update to show you all today :^)

before i place the rest under a cut, here is what it looks like currently!!

alrighty, so. i know it has been DAYS (more specifically, 10 of them) since i said i was gonna post an update on the other half of new additions to the web, however now after some time to think about it, i can better explain my additions to you guys!!!!

let’s start with what i added to the larger blob. i went on a tiny theory tangent about what shrike’s backstory could be!!!

here is most of it!! (as in just that tangent, not the whole blob. im trying to make sure that no part of the blob gets deleted, in case there are things i would like to go back to!!) some of it stretches over to other parts of the web, but it’s kind of hard to capture all of it in screenshots, so im doing what i can.

anyhoo, remember that one quote that i just left floating around because i couldn’t connect it to anything? well. a few days ago when i was rewatching the whole show, i noticed that i completely forgot the rest of that scene existed!!!!! wow!!!!!!

technically the quote i connected to it actually came BEFORE it, however they ARE connected so the arrow makes sense i think. anyway, i expanded upon this idea:

and after gathering all this, i made somewhat of a brief shrike lore timeline i guess????

and so yeah. made a little meme because of how much time i spent on this. (the other screenshot i inserted is the part that stretches into a different section of the web)

and now for the additions i made to the smaller blob!!!! here is an overview of it.

in essence, i made a realization that colors may not JUST be significant in terms of LAW and stuff, but that maybe they connect whole themes?? like, green may symbolize something like loss or destruction??? (for the loss part im thinking Us losing Them and all the things lost because of the cataclysm, however destruction makes more sense i think, considering the cataclysm, which is always depicted as green, spreads its corruption, and beebs’ shoulder gets hit with a sword and then is fixed up with green bandages, but i feel like im just spitballing here)

anyway, hope you guys enjoyed this update!! as always, lmk if you have any questions/comments/concerns/suggestions you may have. i love answering them!!!! ive spent a lot of time on this trying to get the web to be the best that i can make it, so much so that im pretty sure ive got the tetris effect, because whenever i close my eyes i see shrike 😭

rewatched monkey wrench for the umpteenth time today. this time on a tv. hopefully i shall post an update on the monkey spaghetti quite soon, as i have a few new predictions about episode 4!! for now i will offer a peek at what the whole thing currently looks like:

as you can see i finally remembered that freeform has a resize tool and thus henceforth i will be using it a lot probably. i also have some other theory ideas brewing in my head that arent fully formed yet (my brain is kind of just fizzing right now) so keep ur eyes peeled for that 👀

breif monkey spaghetti update

OK SO I ACTUALLY HAD TWO NEW DEVELOPMENTS TO THIS THING however the second thing is not quite ready yet, or at least i dont think its ready enough to share.

i will share what the whole thing looks like now, though.

ON SECOND THOUGHT I HAVE THREE NEW DEVELOPMENTS ACTUALLY so ill tell you guys the two that i feel i can. rest of the post is under the cut!!

first off, new prediction for ep 4!!!

i JUST realized while i was doodling not even an hour or so ago that the green on beebs’ bandages might be significant to episode 4!! like, maybe different colors will connect different key details/events?? i’ll have to add to the spaghetti some other time since im tired and cant connect these ideas properly.

before i go though, ill also share with you guys the spitball i came up with that i put together because im studying italian and as i was looking at different words the other day i was like “wait hold on ive heard one of these before”

im not TOO confident in this being intentional. it’s one of my lesser spitballs in terms of how confident i am in such an out-there idea.

hi hello!! im not the greatest with theories, BUUUUT……

figured id throw my hat into the ring!!! basically for the past two days ive been mapping out a little… i honestly dont even know the term for it. ive called it a “theory web kind of thing, of sorts” for monkey wrench!! (however i feel as though that may not be the correct term to use, i dunno, it just doesnt sound right)

it is very big and convoluted, and also difficult to read in the screenshot of the full thing because of how massive it is, so i figured id walk you guys through it maybe?? FAIR WARNINGS: THIS POST WILL PROBABLY CONTAIN MONKEY WRENCH SPOILERS AND IT WILL MOST DEFINITELY BE RIDICULOUSLY LONG. THIS IS THE ONLY WARNING. CAPISCE? ALRIGHTY LETS GET INTO IT.

WAIT ACTUALLY ONE MORE THING:

some of this kinda piggybacks off of theories and stuff that ive seen from other users of this site, most notably @toastraccoon and @awwkie-dot-jar (sorry for the @’s, wanted to give credit and figured that would be the best way to do so since the @’s redirect to the respective blogs). both of them were actually what inspired me to put this together in the first place!!! go check their blogs out theyre amazing btw

anyway, without further ado:

for simplicity i have dubbed it “monkey spaghetti” because if you look at it from a glance it looks like a nice, hot bowl of unconventionally-colored pasta noodles, i think.

first and foremost, in order to understand my bullshit i made a helpful handy-dandy little key, pictured below.

i had to move the key so that’s why the square is out of place. i simply directed to its proper location on the key with an arrow :^)

anyway, i’ll start with walking you guys through the bigger blob first, that being this one:

monkey spaghetti/MW theory web update!!!!

OK SO HOLY SHIT I AM SO EXCITED TO SHARE THIS UPDATE WITH YOU GUYS AND ILL EXPLAIN WHY IN JUST A MOMENT!!!!!

but first, here is what it looks like now!!

and now lemme explain it. im making this post under the assumption it will be kinda long like the other post i made about this, so i will put it under a cut.

alright, so first off, i expanded the key by adding two more colors:

we have our first disproven theory!!!

here is the reasoning:

and now, i’ll get onto the thing i was most excited about that i literally just found out not even an hour before i started writing this post, which i am absolutely ELATED to share with you guys:

(part of) ONE OF MY PREDICTIONS WAS RIGHT!!!!!!!!

basically, the official monkey wrench account posted that voice recording for episode 4 begins this week. ALONG WITH THAT they also posted what i can only assume is what one of the scenes in the next episode may look like? it’s entirely possible i think, with the animatic style they said they’d be doing, maybe some of the episode has already been animated or something? i dunno. anyway here’s what i wrote:

i also added a small theory of sorts that isn’t really a theory, more so a possibility i just threw in there.
